  • Lol this was 9 years ago now. CPU's almost come out the box stock at 5 ghz :) pretty cool vid

  • Yeeeeh, ducktape :D

  • I was waiting for lift off :o

  • 5 GHZ????

THEY SHOW 5100 MHZ! Here is the GHZ??

  • @tghfdg 1000MHz = 1GHz

  • i want this kind of cooling at home :D

  • @Dowidux96 you shouldn't try this at home ,one mistake and you ruint you entire rig , belive me it take me 4 try and aroud 5k to get it done right.

  • funny because you can overclock todays CPUs to 5ghz on stock air.

  • What's the name of the song

  • das heist wenn desto küler es ist desto schneller meine geschwindigkeit?

  • @xXl3lackyXx nein, desto kühler es ist, umso shneller kannst du lernen

  • Whats Song Name? Şarkının Adı ne?

  • i just realized those were twist ties after 5 years =D

  • now that's what i call liquid cooling :D

  • song?

  • @shadoskill aryx

  • Old

  • srry but make it 100000 ghz by using gas of jupiter planet and neptune

  • The things we do for our computers...

  • What case for this???

  • way be adam yapmış

  • way a.g

  • will it run pacman?

  • Holy s***,that is WHAT I defines to hi-tech in 2003.

  • damn! you need like a big fucking case for that... what a monster.

  • i can run crysis on max at 25-40 fps with

    AMD 965 3.4gh quad - stock cooling

Radeon 5870 ive never tryed GTA so i cant comment on that

PS. wait is this is in 2003? holy shit!

  • @RandomUtuber lol u just realise...lol

  • wow

  • I'm not sure but, if you cool a processor... or rather "freeze it" to a temperature lower that -200 *C it cracks... but if you keep it going to ... let's say... -10*C as a constant temperature... I think It works... the bad thing about it is that the cache memory isn't enough to sustain the speed of the CPU itself...

  • WOW 5GHz in 2003 holy shit !!!

  • liquid nitrogen cooling with newest hardware specs plz. im sure you could get 6ghz

  • this was 3 years ago back then they didnt over clock very well.

  • 6 Ghz, that would be crazy fast....lol... all you have to do is push the power button and you are already at the desktop. Sounds like NASA specs.

  • Probably not. Because you need faster harddrives for that. So only clocking the CPU isn't enough. Faster RAM, graphicscards and HDD/SSD.

  • @Kellsg101 Nasa specs rofl Nasa are using 20 ghz computers in their main grid

  • @Kellsg101 Nasa doesn't need very fast PC's, umm maybe for 3D Simulations...

Space probe needs only 500Mhz processor with medium performance to complete mission.

    @Newbpwng

Their data-centers may use a lot of processors to calculate physical simulations. But there is not 5Ghz or 20GHz processor :) Just up to 3Ghz per one.

  • HDDs can only read/write so fast, so it won't really boot up any faster.

  • so we will need to have a way for kids and others not to open the containers of liquid nitrogen for safety purposes?

also wat kidna effect will the moisture have on the chip and surrounding 'metals"

  • There is no moisture, :P

it's liquid nitrogen silly. Turns to a gas as it heats above a certain tempature so there's no moisture. :P

  • Wow that's crazy, and on a Pentium 4 Northwood too. What was the stock speed on that chip?

  • 2.8 or 3,2

  • nice efects and nice song

  • This video had an epic feel.

  • coooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • But can it run Crysis?

    kp

  • jajaja xD

    nah

  • lol i think it can run crysis 4 times over

  • Comment removed

  • Oh yeah?! well I bet my pink elephant can kick your green dogs ass!

  • @kpappletech only question needed to be asked, has been!

  • wow.wie kommst du an den stickstoff ran?

  • OMG this is a "cool" overclock xD

  • "Cooooooooooooooool" Dude......... :D

  • too bad the installation is outside :P

  • holy ... 5.2Ghz dame. Should try with Core2Extream or i7... man prob get it to likr 7ghz !

  • what do you think would happen if you would drink liquid nitrogen? like its a chemical so what would exactly happen. frost bite on your stomach. wonder if you would die or instant puke

  • uh... it will turn everything it touches glass-solid from mouth all the way down to stomach... and cool teh rest of teh body to - temps.... but its probably an instant death..

  • your body would most likely go into shock because of the sudden intense temperatures, either (a) your heart would stop, or (b) you would suffocate

  • thats crazy. good you guys knew what you were doing. were you get your liquid nitrogen ?

  • Na denkt doch mal an die Umwelt !

Tja mit der Wärme kann man ja ein Einfamilienhaus heizen :D !

  • Why have ESD precautions taken place? :P

  • cazzarola! però secondo me dopo 10 minuti il pc esplode xD

  • whit this u can play gta iv all in low detail xD joke, great vid!!! congrats!!

  • you don't need core I7 to play GTA4. With this i'm sure it works perfectly. LOL.

  • what program are you using?

  • its not a program he just is in the bios

  • bios. that's what overclockers use. OCig software is for newb wannabes.

  • wow!

  • Now you can play GTA IV xD

  • LOL i just thought the same thing :D

  • Damn thats pretty sweet i wish i had a 5 Ghz processor nice video.

  • You can have one! All you need to do is have unlimited liquid nitrogen to cool it. This is how supercomputers work, partly.

  • nice...I love this stuff

  • now all we gotta do is find a case that would fit this :)

  • i heard about intel attempted to run a 1 thz processor and they used some crazy method of cooling and had it running for less than a second

  • yep :) thats called a super conductor :)

  • The Last Part Was Cool . He Put The Thing In For A Second . Then Breaks It .

  • yeh that was the whole point of the movie clapclap

  • where do you get the funding for this

  • highschool chemical classes?

  • funding you idiot is the MONEY... where to you get the MONEY

  • work u lazy fvck

  • right and you waste all your money on this, if you trash computer components and HAVE THE TIME to do all this then how... especially if you WORK then how can you find the time to do all this

also why would you need the cpu constantly at -100 why dont you just keep it cool using ice

  • you ask where to find the money to do it

i answer you and now you tell me that doing that project (unregarding the money factor) is a waste of time..

fk, do you wanna do it or not

  • when did i say waste of time, i said where do you find the time... learn to read and argue - what are you 5 years old?

  • new cpu's can go to 5ghz with liquid cooling :P

    prob higher too

  • amazing, pentium 4 built to go at an average

2.4GHz and with that, it runs at 5GHz

  • power of science :P

  • u should show this to the processor maker they could do something more aadvanced and finish the project

  • thats amazing

  • my cpu's max overclock is 10 GHz but i dont want to risk overclocking over what ive already overclocked it 2 (3.5ghz. i might go 10 ghz if i can get my hands on some liquid nitrogen

  • you cant get 10ghz if you know what you are talking about gl tough

  • i dont see AMD doing this

  • You are comparing two CPU,s that are 3 or 4 generations of processors apart.

Athlon xp was in the same league as the Pentium 4.

Of course the core 2 duo will be a lot faster.

  • lmao.....how about now????

  • why didn't they do the out takes where they dropped the motherboard and had to buy another one and how about the one where they spilt all of he liquid nitrogen :)

  • genius !

  • Pentium 4 running at 5.2 Ghz

    you are damn expert

  • Has any one tried a PC inside a fridge or frezer. I know one place I worked we tested live circuits down to -40C.

  • u cant put a pc in a freezer it would fuck it up,too much humidity

  • I tested circuits at high humidity and no problems, remember pure water is an insulator.

Also after I made this comment I found a vid on YT of someone with a PC inside a fridge, it would made sence to keep the power suppy outside though.

  • water vapor would probably be a problem too

  • Cant be funnny when the condense starts to melt.

  • if u droped it it would smash

  • ich finde es geil

  • wooooow what's your name? macgyver??

  • lol a little power plant going on there

  • waaaaaiiiiiit a minut... computers work faster when there cold?

  • Wow, you are so dumb lol!

  • lol of corse my coler is water colled

  • LOL -2000 DEGREES LOLL!!!!!!

  • 200..

  • amazing indeed but not very practical still someone out there is probably applying this to their computer right now

  • that is the craziest thing i have ever seen. impresive though.

  • what's the music in the beginning?

  • cold enough?

  • The record for a P4 is 11.5Ghz wonder what kind of cooling they used 0_o

  • to use that they would have to get the mobo down to absolute zero (that's when molecules stop moving)

  • We all know, that this is too heavy xD

  • probably on the satelite thats going to pluto 0.o

  • OMFG 5 ghz i am impressed at my college lab the highest i ever got up to was like 3 ghz but 5! thats crazy i could do bout more than 500 mil+ calculations with some modifications and adjusments but WOW 5 ghz :D

  • i wish i could get my core 2 duo e4300 up that high lol i cant even oc it with this fricken dell mobo.

  • get a dfi ut x48 mobo and a thermalright ultra 120 extreme and overclock it

  • is that a server mobo

  • amazing! love the music BTW :)

  • 2003.... this vid's 5 years ago

  • I remember the first time i saw it, it was that year. I was so impressed with the 5Ghz LOL

  • Imagine what a Core 2 Quad could do!!

  • Lol a bit OTT...? To cool a processor?

  • HOLY SHIT !! make a graphics card cooling, too.... and go play crysis at full details XD

.....at real you need 3x 8800Ultra to play it at full details....but you can try it

  • wow if this video is true this is amazing! Good job!!!

  • Amazaing VID!

  • lol... with that temprature, the processor will freeze. that was all computer made.

  • it will freeze at -273,15° C or 0° F

  • cool

  • WILL BE REAL SAD IF IT FAILS

  • indeed

  • indeed

  • where the hell did you get that liquid nitrogen?

  • kinda like the helium cooled quantum computer except not as fast and not as cold

  • does liquid nitrogen also increase my internet connection speed??? ;)

  • heh no :D :D nice joke tho....

but thinking about it... a gforce video card could be

  • Good for demonstration but not practical. Too bad that going from room temp to extreme back and forth will eventually cause fatigue to the components. The electrolytic capacitors will be out of tolerance due to its dielectric freezing. Not practical to continue buying liquid nitrogen. Excellent science project though.

  • was this filmed in nasa station?

  • Cooler temperatures also allows for superior conduction besides keeping the components from overheating.

  • Amazing.

  • This is the most exciting thing ever. Very cool man.

  • craxy

  • they use a compressor (phase change),single Stage i think(due to the temprature(-39*C). compressors are NOT cheap! 500-1000$+ for a good(?) one.

  • LOL compressors are cheap go to the tip and rip one out of a old freezer thats what i did

  • that was cool

  • have u ever seen a cpu with a 6ghz core speed i only seen 1 with 5300+ if u do be tell me :)

  • omfg la wea loka hahah

    nice vid

  • i fucking doubt it

  • ya right

  • eat shit and die. if it did its no longer a laptop. so again, total bullshit. internet toughguy ftl.

  • You must do it. It's very exiting. I will put my video, of my cpu running at 5,5 ghz. ^^

  • Did i read 2003? *lol* that's heavy ;o)

  • It depends where you work because I dont think you can just go out and buy Liquid Nitrogen :P

    Ryan.

  • wow your fucking retarded for 1 this is a record breaking cpu for 2 they had to buy a pretty goo cpu to overclock id say around 700 bucks 3rd that cooling system had to cost around hmm i dunno say 10,000 dollars?

  • Thedeadlywar, the cooling system in no way costed $10,000. $250 tops. And please, use some grammar and punctuation in your comments, they're difficult to read and almost completely illegible.

  • 10,000 dollars are you serius? It looks like a copper plate, with a copper tube attached to it. Unless your buying some special copper that is made in the middle of the earth and carried by bill gates to your house, I'd say probably $15? The most expensive thing is the liquid Nitrogen, which still isn't even that expensive. The CPU? Probably $200-400

  • lol

  • Liquid Nitrogen is as cheap as milk. I wonder if one could just set a Dewar on the cpu...

  • cheap way to get good computer

  • Wow that is realy good xD

  • despues se devio acer pico la wea e pc
