For concealed carry, my Glock 19 is a bit cumbersome, thinking of downsizing to a .38+P. If I'm gonna be in bear country, I'm comfortable with my S&W 629 Classic with 300 gr. If I find myself in bull country, I'm looking for the embassy, because obviously, I'm hella-lost!
I had a G26 backup for about 6 months. The grip was too small for my hand, my pinkie finger would naturally fit under the magazine.I tried the extended grip magazine but my pinkie was getting pinched in-between the grip & the mag during recoil.I replaced the G26 with the G19. With the night sights, the 19 is the perfect compact weapon for my needs. I also like the Sig 226T & the Ruger SR9c, though I wish the Ruger was 3/4" longer. I like your video, keep them coming.
4years now with my G23 by my side and has never failed me =) dislike how you used a rottweiler as a "vicous dog" attacking you, i know if someone breaks into my house, first they have to get through my 2 rottweilers, and if they happen to pass them, then the glock comes in, my best protection is my rottweiler ;)
great video... so many ppl i know go the .45 ACP route. Personally that's too big of a round for me. After firing several .45, there is no doubt in my mind it would put something down in 1 shot. The problem I have is - 1 handed I don't think I could fire the 2nd shot off a .45 accurately. It's more like 1 and get lucky or miss and keep missing.
I'm curious about your thoughts on smaller calibers in-between 9mm & .45 that are cheap (lots of practice rounds) & effective stoppers. lmk
@lifeisgood070 Look into 10mm, it might be the caliber for you. I'm a .45ACP fan myself... I've got a full-size 1911, actually seems to kick LESS than most smaller caliber guns -- but that's probably just the heft and length of the thing.
@ThunderousWrath You've got to be kidding about the 10mm right? I don't know if you've actually ever fired a 10mm but the recoil from shooting a 200g 10mm is harder felt than the .45 cal 230g +p+ cartridge. I'd dare say the 10 mm hits harder & recoils greater than the Sig .357 mag cartridge. You could've recommended the .40 cal or suggested the 9mm with +p 147g HST cartridges. The 147g HST bullets will stop a man sized threat quickly without over penetrating & possibly endangering others.
@70scarrestoguy Now that I'm looking at this, I meant to write .40. I have no idea why that came out as 10mm. And I'd say that 10mm and .357 magnum recoil just about equal to me.
Yeah, 10mm makes no sense in my response. I meant to say .40, as any reasonable person should when someone asks about what's inbetween 9mm and .45 ACP.
@ThunderousWrath They're pretty tough to mix up but I'll give you the benefit of doubt. As to what's between the 9mm & the .45cal weapons. I say a bigger cal weapon doesn't necessarily equate to greater safety. I've had many weapons in various calibers, I enjoy the 9mm most. Bulk ammo is reasonably priced, recoil (G19) is negligible, allowing very accurate follow up shots. Training with the 9mm is enjoyable, often/better training equates to being better prepared to survive a deadly attack.
Pepper spray works a lot better. With today's fucked up laws and corrupt lawyers if you ever do have to pull the trigger you will probably end up in jail for 20 years.
You are fooling people. A 380 is a POS. DO NOT put your live on the line depending on a 380. Have to also say a 9mm isnt that much better. I dont remove my weapon until I go to bed. I have all kinds of handguns, shot IPSC for 8 years, 45 with Para frame. I carry them all but, get ready, once I got my 386, S&W Titanium Airlight 7 shot snubnose 357 its EASY to not notice Im wearing it. Its deadly, it has reach, especially when you practise,I use my 686 plus which is the same but stainless.
@Davidautofull Kinda feel bad about picking on you. I've put a man down with a 380. I don't know what you think about the 24/7 mantra. I sleep with one eye open and do not take my weapon off. Don't piss on a caliber. The best carry pistol is the one you sleep with and can hit your target. I do like my 686 too, still you must carry and hit. That was a dumb statement "380 is a POS". Hey have you ever been shot?
MY FIRST GUN SINCE I WAS 8 WAS A GLOCK 9 I LOVED IT BUT I WANTED TO UPGRADE TO AN AUTOMATIC SO I BOUGHT A MINI AK ND I LOVE IT TO, BUT NOW I WANNA GET DAT 357 IT LOOKS TIGHT
@daddyge0 first off wth do you need to take down a 300 pound man from 200yrd? you would be able to run from that distance and avoid the dngr....what you need to worry bout is the 1 yard to 20 yard distance threat...and as far as your question...go read some forums and search around nutnfancy's videos....(you seem kinda fishy like your looking for trb)
@xXAidenxGoesxrawRxX Dude, don't call it an "assault rifle". That is a fully automatic rifle for military use. The liberals use that phrase to talk about our weapons to scare the public into supporting gun bans (ie the AWB), so you shouldn't do it. Happy shooting!
I rock my Glock 23 on my side and a S&W Bodyguard Airweight .38 Special as a backup. Sometimes the S&W is in my pocket so it is actually a primary at times.
If I get a weird feeling I just put my hands in my pocket and observe the situation.
my 2 cents... glock or sig for conceal carry. they are dependable and reliable. i feel the lcp is a great back up weapon or a gun you can have in a pocket holster for around the house. because if someone breaks in while your home you might not be near your gun safe and it isnt wise to just have loaded guns hiding in just about every room in your house.
Thanks for the vid, very cool. Glock 23 my favorite CCW

@70scarrestoguy I've mixed them up before because the .40 is derived from the 10mm.
