  • traxxpad- for a simple hip hop beat

    psp rhythm- for electronica/club music

    beaterator- for everything

    just sayin

  • I like it <3

  • this is a slapper

  • r u still using this one? or d new beaterator?

  • ay, im tellin you right now...i got beaterator and traxxpad...now beaterator may seem better when you talk about what it can do, but after playing traxxpad you realize what it cant do and the sounds you dont have and the way you lay down different pitched notes....i'd go wit traxxpad

  • Care to elaborate? I also have both. I admit I haven't spent much time with either but from what I can tell both programs can do pretty much the same stuff (except for the song editors - you only get four patterns in traxxpad? Seriously? FOUR patterns?)

The main difference is TP takes like 10x as long to learn ANd if you want any non-percussion instruments, or any drums not pre-loaded in the standard banks, you have to jump through all kinds of crazy loops to load them into your song.

  • Plus the traxxpad interface is atrocious. Yeah, it can do pretty much everything beaterator can do, but you'll spend an hour in traxxpad doing something that would take you 25 minutes in beaterator.

  • the way i make my beats using traxxpad is probably waaay diffeent from the way normal ppl do (i'll post a vid about it soon) so the 4 pattern thing doesnt rly affect me as much when it comes to drums beaterator beats traxxpad wit the possibilities and thinngs but composing a melody on beaterator is a pain because ou cant hear the song while ur making a melody for an instrument so you kinda have to geuss where everything goes and how its gonna sound..

  • I'm curious to see this. It's clear this program was geared toward hip-hop beats which isn't really my thing. I'm into harmonies and melodies and complex musical structures, not repetetive beats. That's another reason I prefer beaterator - it allows me to put many pitched instruments together to form melodic harmoniesand such. You can push traxxpad to do this too but the non-percussion instruments just sound OK, and of course the 4 patterns is a HUGE limit for this type of composition.

  • how do you sustain a beat with melody

  • sad if u think this is awesome search for psp rhythm vids they're way better.. i am not trying to sound like a douche just saying that traxxpad sux compared to psp rhythm

  • I used rhythm before either TP or Beaterator. I liked the program a lot. Didn't take me long to figure out. No unnecessary flashy crap or confusing interface. Not completely intuitive but it didn't take long to figure out. Simple yet effective. The problem was that the free samples library it includes is too limited for my tastes. Not a problem with the program but unless you've got your own kickass sample library you'll be pretty limited in what you can do with it.

  • yeah i know and its hard getting samples of your taste with out paying

  • your good

i don't even know how to play traxxpad

  • im samplin with my socom mic/headset. about the note holding, there is some sustainable sounds on the umd. not much but a few are cool to mess wid.

  • Yo how did you get those samples into the psp; or are they ones that are already there...

I've been trying to find a way to import my own samples; it would really be a big help

  • does anyone know how to hold a note down? or a continous note

  • yo donraphael... dont hate. this aint gonna take over the music biz. but as far getting something down while on the road it's the shit. not thing is as portable. and the line in and edit capabilities is off the hook.

  • you dont even know what u are talking about...

its actually not a 'game'... you can make some real bangers on there... Sha Money XL made some dope ones; do some reasearch

the equipment dont make the producer and there is no 'right way' to make good music... even bums that play rubber bands and trash cans know that shit

  • yo what are these samples like what track and yeah the line in is so much cleaner but the mic has a gritty grimey sound on some mobb deep tip which can be nice to

  • Ohhhh Shit!!! yo son u pretty much got me 2 buy dis game now! im finna use some mf doom beats and change up da vocals.

  • lol is there even a way to convert this to mp3?

  • yeah you can export to both .wav (for individual sequences) or MP3 for both sequences and full songs...

  • i sampled the sounds from itunes. i used the mic but then but i line in everything now. way cleaner and precise.

  • Your sick dude.. Learn me some.. Where do you get those samples from? And how do i load them? U just got this app..

  • so sick dude, where did you find those 2 samples?

  • That was simple and sweet!..."ccsfzelfer" said it man...that beat is ready to go!.. Keep up the awesome work bro

  • That was ridiculous.

  • ur awesome!

  • mane this shit raw

  • why do people always make dirty south hi hats in that repetitive 1/16th note pattern. do something else. (not hatin, just not likin)

  • hey where did you sample those first two from? Did you get it from a song, and if so what song?

  • yo millz if u read it right, i said the first two samples were done wid the mic. not the beat

  • i call BS on the first beat being sampled with the mic.

  • nice beat... 2 questions that i can't seem to get answered tho... can you export an entire song as a WAV. file(not mp3)?... and can you import wav. files?

  • no wav :(

  • convert your Mp3s to .wav

  • pretty nice man, i've only had mine long enough to do one beat today. check it on my page

  • Cool beats!

  • that was pretty cool. I haven't used my mic yet but i plan on sampling some live instruments...maybe some flamenco style guitar...anyhow that was alright! don't know how so many people aren't getting this!!!

  • That was great. What is the maximum time you can record a sample?

  • if your an online gamer check out my profile

  • ::: 5 Stars :::

  • i sampled the first two wid the mic.

  • another thing i wanted to know was what samples did you use?

  • nice beat man.. how long did it take you to mix those sounds.. or did you... either way it sounds good

  • i havent messed wid sustain alot. but i did see a sustain folder in one of the samples.

  • damnn fool. them beats are bumpin. good work my man. ive been needing some help with the sustain thing. do you know how to work that stuff?

  • just get to the sustain folder and load one and when you do go to melod... and when you add the note hold the note down and drag to the right.. all sustain does is it extends the sound to how long you want the note to be.. dont know if that explains it good but i tried..
