The temples in Pakistan are decaying because there are no Hindus to take care of them... The Indian govt should make a point of talking to the Pak govt and allowing more Hindus for upkeep. About 6000 Sikhs come every year and look after the Gurdwaras...
The Hindu temples at Katas, many of which are over 1000 years old are getting some upkeep as that site is once again being turned into a site of pilgimage. Every year we get about 100 Indian pilgirms.

That's true. But to this day Hindis are not alowed to use temples in both Cities or rural areas under the E.T.P. law. This is still happening in places with a sizeable hindu population like Karachi. Sikhs have a much better treatment by th Pakistano Govt. Many indian politicians have risen this problem with their Pak. counterparts with litle progress. Hopefully this will improve after katas restoration.

If Pakistan maintained the temples, they could offer travel packages to Indian Hindus, and have some tourism revenue. That would also build mutual goodwill.

Katas temple complex in Chakwal district gets about 100 Indian pilgrim ever April or August. They bathe in the sacred pool. More could come but I doubt many know of the area as its only recently gotten some exposure when one of your govt people visited the site.

Riots and deaths do happpen but they are done by individuals and not supported by hindu scrpitures unlike Quran which tells to "slay the idolars wherever you might find them"

mr. savk, there is a sommon sense that whenever u refer to a book, always read reference and the context to get the true meaning for example if in ur holy geeta "raam killed rawan" without any reference or context it would mean that he was violant person, whereas he was not. this is the same when u refer quran.

look at the chief judge of pakistan, hes a hindu, and punjabs last governor was a sikh. Okay, we must accept that temples were destroyed or demolished, or not cared for. But most of the hindus left those communites to goto India. so in some area, there is no hindus to care for the temples, thus, leading authorities to demolish them. But dont get me wrong like, i know its wrong, but we're not as bad as hindus, where they destroy mosques 1992.

1. Most of your statementes are true.But you must realize why there's no hindus in Pakistan(apart from that 1,5%)when in India muslim population in what today's India is the same-slightly higher-to the 1947 and after partition period.

2. 1992 Babri's demolition -1 mosque- can't be compared to the hundreds of temples destroyed in places like Bangladesh,Pakistan or even UK in retaliation, before and to this day.Hindu population in the land that today's Pakistan doubled by far the muslim equivalent in what then was to be the actual India.

Being honest no one can say that living in a muslim country for minorities like the hindus or sikhs is the same to India's situation for muslims or other minorities.Numbers in history are overwhelming and forcible conversions were/are only 1 SIDED.

I really must commend you on this, you must have put alot of effort in your research. But can you explain to me. From all prisoners of war that Pakistani captured, for some particular reason 40% of them are sikh. Dont get me wrong, they are strong committed people, isnt it a bit strange that the Indian government wants to send them to front lines for one reason 2 get killed or to kill. I do admit, i have heard stories from pakistan minorities being forcibly converted.
