So, the vibrator is mixing the cables and (hopefully) creates short circuit? Wouldn't be better if you put the vibrator away and hook up cables that normally powers it to the external relay? This should be only little more complicated to build but would be more reliable and foolproof (note that protection diode may be necessary to avoid damage to the phone by voltage spike from relay).
