Some people can not handle criticism.If that's the case why put your playing on a public venue.Everybody is not going to like you or your playing.What is it ? Because you didn't hear "you are great" it offends you.
It is just a way to pay tribute. Also, as a study, I needed to compare fingerings with another jazz guitarist overseas. The guitar is a 1965 Epiphone Howard roberts, very good instrument.
I do understand because Billy is one of my top 5 Jazz Guitarist.Wes,Dennis Budimir,Howard Roberts and Geo.Benson being the other 4.I've transcribed many of Billy and the other guys solo's as well and it is good for developing one's style and for inspiration.It's just that I don't see the point of putting it on youtube.As a guitarist myself I usually am not very critical of other guitarist stuff.To me jazz is an expression of one's self and playing someone's solo on youtube is like having 1.
@dirtyguitarplayer610 a conversation as repeating the speakers word's back to him or her.Sorry, I do know the effort that it took to do that and it was beautiful.Peace and love.DP (check out my youtube channel, I am trying to hook it up.dirtyguitarplayer 610).Thanks P.S by the way is that a Howars Roberts Epiphone.I have a 76 Gibson HR Custom. 2.
@dirtyguitarplayer610 Playing someone elses solo is often a vital step in your own musical journey. Inspiration comes from many places. Why not be open to find inspiration in all of them and not only from where we are told to?

Hello,
It is just a way to pay tribute. Also, as a study, I needed to compare fingerings with another jazz guitarist overseas. The guitar is a 1965 Epiphone Howard roberts, very good instrument.

@meowkittyxo
Sorry about the sound but I was more interested in the playing than the recording. It comes from Bud Shank - Slippery When Wet (1959).
