Batteries from EVs are even more toxic than oil, and the electricity that this car uses comes from power plants that burns oil or coal. Just imagine if millions of these EV are sucking electricity every hour. This is not the solution to the problem, the true solution is on renewable energy sources which Big Oil companies are blocking with all their might.

@Blitz4000 Batteries can be recycled almost 100%. Once electric cars are mass produced and take off better safer batteries will come. I agree about renewable enegry that will come in time but we have to start somewhere. We need to stop supporting the Oil Mafia.

I was referring to the manufacturing stage of the batteries. The process to produce the chemicals for these batteries is more toxic for the environment than oil. Buying and using EVs would not end your dependency on oil...you will still use oil though, only indirectly and you will do harm to the environment even more. Big corporations are just messing with us. They don't care about the planet, all they care about is money and these EVs is just a tool to enhance their image.

@Blitz4000 I agree with you reguarding Huge Monopolizing Corporations not caring about our planet. From the food industry to the oil industry They do not care about the people the animals or the vegetation They harm and destroy. They worship money and 5 dollar hookers. Yes maybe the production of lithium batteries at the moment may not be as safe as it could be, but like I said better safer battery technology will come. At least its a start in stearing away from our dependence on oil. Peace.

This is without a doubt the ugliest car I've ever seen. I really wanted to like this when I heard Nissan were making this car but from every exterior angle it just gets uglier as time goes by. Kinda like getting drunk and pulling an fat bird at the beginning of the night and while sobering up you realise what your doing and stop yourself from doing the nasty and going over to the dark side. Ugly people will say beauty is on the inside, but they're wrong, I wont get close enough to the minger.

Why do people care about the start of sound so much? We are on the cusp of the greatest fundamental improvement (environmental, performance, reliability, vehicle design flexibility, etc) to the automobile industry ever!
