Religion's a personal thing. This mayor is nuts and there's no way around that. The problem is, so many people call themselves a 'fighter of social injustice' or 'anti-prejudice' etc.. then characterized all people of any religious faith as 'nuts' and 'insane'. That's just a bigoted as anything else.

However, it's also just sensationalized in the media and so on. Most people aren't so narrow minded. The majority of normal people have friends from every end of the spectrum.

I agree Religion is a personal thing but not to many religious people who insist that Church and State be one, that there be prayer in public schools and that abortion be rendered illegal for all time. That's not personal-its public policy.
