why did you choose the cO3u instead of a normal condeser mic with a phantom alimentation and mixer/preamp?

It was affordable and I didn't know the first thing about recording equipment. It's not a purchase I've come to regret so far, but I'm looking to replace it once I get a new comp and sound card etc.

yeah, a good sound card is needed too...but if you have to make a semi pro equip for singing from the beginning it could be very expensive. that's a pity...many artist could do better if they had money. it's a shame not giving everyone the same poosibilities. stupid money. and stupid who has loads of it and waste it.

"don't be a dick" lol, nice... i'm actually looking into getting a samson c03u, you used it for this video right because i love the sound? also curious because i'm not too familiar with recording, is it possible to plug the USB mic into a computer, your guitar into the mic slot of your computer and acquire sound simultaneously on one track when recording? so that you simply put into synch the (vocals+guitar) and (video) afterwards, in lets say windows movie maker?

I just record the vocals and guitar through the USB mic, but I'm sure you can do it the way you describe. The Samson mic is pretty good, but I recommend you buy a cap to shut out any background noice.
