I was there, it was great to see them in my hometown, best concert I've been to since Rounday Park in Leeds in '93 on Europa Tour! this was gorgeous :)

I was sick that I missed Sheffield but listened to it on Radio City live...was surprised by Bono's under par vocal performance(not like him). Looking forward to seeing the boys on a night of a great performance all round...crowd were awesome tho'!

I was there! Only becauz We were away when they played 02 in London, and the crowd was SO into them, all the time we were singing!

We went to see them on this night and were so glad someone has put this on.

It was an electric night and such a fantastic way to end the show.

2 and half hours we stood in ore of these men truely amazing thanks for taking us back!

i travelled from Newcastle to see the gig i was really that bothered about going but ticket for free from a comp at work, got there new album for free as well listened to it on way down sounded good, but i have to say it was the best gig i have evere seen in my life i would definately go see them again.

travelled from Sunderland to see U2 at Sheffield and the trip was well worth it.

the stage and the set was amazing, the guys were in really good form, hope they can comeback with something even more spectacular.

i worked on that stage for the 9 days it was getting erected and it was very impressive how we done it. and the show was really TREMENDOUS

Maybe the band should have walked amongst the crowd - SHAKING HANDS !! A Set that costs £5,000,000 takes six cranes & four days to assemble ....I was there on Thursday Night & This Set is Nothing Short of AWESOME & the band were on TOP FORM !

I was there, thurally enjoyed it, but their live shows at the moment are overated. There was nothing incredibly spectacular. Revolving stage, two bridges that swung around and that screen at the top. It's all been done before. There wasn't any pyrotechnics, crowd interaction, or fireworks which is what I was expecting. They might aswell of had a smaller stage with just some lights and it would've been the same concert. I'm a massive U2 fan as well, so don't think I'm a hater lol.

'it's all been done'??? An outdoor stage set-up with this kind of visibility has NEVER been done before. The telescopic screen has NEVER been done before. An outdoor stage that can bring a band so far into the crowd has NEVER been done before. What HAS been done before is bloody fireworks - that's been done a lot! Disappointed coz there was no fireworks?? What are you? 10-years-old?? lol

Take That did that very thing at one of their gigs. I wasn't there, I've seen a video on YouTube. Might've been New Years Eve a few years ago they did it, but they came far into the crowd. Just to clarify, I don't like Take that either :L. Also, I don't mean fireworks as in 5th of November, I mean there was something dramatic that was needed. I mean, you have to admit there wasn't a moment where something made you jump, eg a explosion of some sort. I can't describe what I'm trying to get across.
