For a person who sees this for the first time the lady's movements and gestures appear jerky and almost funny but her playing is very professional. There is too much of Mason Williiams in this performance. The cold classical touch is not present if we talk about Tommy Emmanuel or Richard Smith

well obviously the touch of emmanuel is lacking. he's one of the world's best fingerpickers...one of a kind. i agree with the mason williams comment, but not about her movements..keep in mind this is not, though it sounds like it, a classical piece...it is for the guitar, and even through transducing the natural rhythm into cello, one retains an inherent sense of how to move with the music that is guitar-based

This sure is an awkward looking instrument, an "invisible cello".

I find that the beauty of the instrument resides in it's conception, which contraditcs with the purpose of electrical cello (the beauty of the instrument, if you make abstraction of the sound that is).

I'm a cellist myself. If you look closely, you will notice that there are two extra tuning knobs on the scroll.

The cello... is a Ned Steinberger. My husband has one of his violins. You can pick up a cello like that for about $2500...give or take depending on where you buy it. Nice rendition.

Yeah except for the fact that this isn't trying to emulate Spanish music at all. It was just a guitar instrumental by Mason Williams and they changed it up a bit. Hmm I wonder why she would stand up while playing, oh wait, it was designed that way. Yeah in case you didn't notice it's not a regular cello and it's designed so that you can play with the same amount of control you would sitting down, much like a guitar.
