Actually, when I think of Superman I think of the most awesome force of all superhero's so I don't see the comparison to Dwight Howard. Maybe you can argue Shaq's case since he was unstoppable in his prime. True unstoppable forced are Kobe, Lebron, and Wade... Howard is not an unstoppable force whatsoever. Plus Dwight Howard basically gave himself that nickname at the slam dunk competition a few years ago. Pretty gay...

Did you watch the last Orlando-Cleveland game? If you did, you didn't see what happened when Dwight Howard tried to bully Superman. Next matchup is this coming Sunday. I suggest you watch as Howard tries to establish position, it's kinda funny. Howard isn't great, he's nowhere near the level that Shaq was at in his youth. I'm not saying that Howard doesn't have potential, but Howards current numbers aren't even as good as Shaq's rookie numbers.

you can't just say howard is great because he's the dominant center of the league... when shaq was in his prime he was putting up HUGE numbers that dwight howard isn't anywhere close to. Plus, it's not like a league title or award given out to the dominant center (which howard is), it's a nickname. Would you call Kobe Mr. Clutch or call Lebron James His Airness? No, those are other guys' nicknames. Same goes for Superman. It's Shaq's nickname, so Howard can't have it.

well, I'm not too sure about shawn kemp, but you did ignore Hakeem. In my opinion, Hakeem's one of the top 5 centers ever, and Shaq managed to put up about 30 a game against him in the finals against the Rockets. Compare that to Howard's performance last year (he didn't even make a field goal in Game 1) and consider that Howard was mostly playing against Pau Gasol, and you see why Howard is definitely NOT Superman.

Yes yoyoggw126, you are correct. Also, Shaq AVG. his 29 PPG in a season back when Defenses in the NBA were more physical and, well, just flat out better. Howard will be great but look at the 1990s---golden era of Centers---(in no order)Mourning, Shaq, Ewing, Robinson, Hakeem the dream, Sabonis, Rik SMits, etc. Today you don;t have that competition.
