  • What an absolute gem of a majesterially transcendent scene!

  • This makes no sense. The highway they are on wasn't opened til the late 80's. Up til then, if you wanted to travel north from Sydney...you had to take the old pacific Highway which was basically aswerving two lane highway which today runs parallel to the one you see above. Had this part of the highway existed then..we would have gone this way. This is how it looks today...certainly not back then. Don;t know how they got this shot.

  • @GavinJ37 Hi Gavin, many parts of the F3 were open as early as 1973 (remember coming back from holidays on this road). It was piecemeal in those days ie stop/start, and there was a toll

  • Hume highway? last on that back in 79

  • Riding motorbikes still is...."Z thou" for sure if you ever come across 1...

  • @MikeLovesChoppers

Not to mention the billiard table smooth road surface compared to what it is today.

I rode in the funeral run in the movie - it was amazing - great memories.

  • @MrJohannVegas yeah lol

  • @MrJohannVegas -Yes, but if you watch the movie, it makes sense. The funeral got a lot of attention and was reported on the news so he could be a news cameraman.

  • the movie was done in 1970 i thought.

  • Wow, the Hawkesbury River bridge hasn't changed at all.
