The customer did all the importing himself so i don't know. the conversion was a complete straight bolt in with no mods to the van. This van is for sale now.

i was just in the UK where i drove Vauxhall Insignia with the 2.0L 16V C-TDI 160 HP motor with a 6 spd manual. wow what a car. all the power/torque you could ever want. torque from 1200 rpm in 6 gear no problem. not driven the new VW yet.
What? Since when did AWD T4s make it to California in the first place... then to be exported back out? I would think if a Syncro T4 made it here, Californians would go crazy for it. Heck T3s syncros already command waaaay too much money on the used market.... like $15k sometimes... $30 for a a Westy Syncro.
well it's a custom built van, Jason (van owner) imported the engine and full syncro drive train from the UK. we built the special M-TDI pump for him and got the engine running and he got someone to install it all in the van which had a VR6 when he bought it.
Which Pump-components did you used to build a mechanical 5-cylinder-pump?
The older mechanical TD-pumps have no flywheel and a smaller shaft than the electronic TDI-pumps.
So what have you done to use the TDI-shaft in an TD box?
Have you mill out the box?

yes we sure can, no problem. just the way you hook up your pressure tube to the pump instead of Vacuum
