@saberur66, A milk bag is not required for a Blendtec either. It all depends on the consistency you stop at, and whether or not you want the pulp. However, VM requires a silly tamper for many blending jobs. The Blendtec doesn't require or need such fussy intervention like a Vitamix.
This is awesome but does this work with all veggies and fruits? I did a video on carrot juice and celery I wonder if it would work as good as my awesome juicer did for me?! I got a lot of juice with the amount of carrots and celery I used buy maybe it's because I got such a badarse juicer :)
@turgore I tried it with my Magic Bullet juicer attachment and it didn't work until I steamed the carrots first. I might end up getting a good blender just so I can do stuff like this.
I have a $150 Jack Lalanne PowerJuicer that works wonderfully, except for the fact that there is a LOT of waste and cleanup is a pain. These high-powered blenders really look like the way to go. With the carrot juice, I think I'd simply thin it out with a little cold water and drink the pulp and all! :-)
Notice that "isaachaze" has still yet to provide ONE SINGLE ref that provides an objective video demo that compares the Blendtec and VitaMix side by side, that shows the VM outperforming a Blendtec. That is because no such video exists. Blendtec is in a league of its own. Also, there are VM followers that claim a Blendtec cannot blend items like apples without liquid. I posted video proof that's a blatant lie, and challenge anyone with a VM to do the very same w/o a tamper. Any takers??
This juice is brown, not orange. It is very oxidised. I have a twin gear juicer which produces perfectly orange carrot juice on the first pass and totally brown juice when I put the pulp back in for a second pass a few moments later! In contrast, when I let the juice of the first pass sit for days (!) in a test tube, it will not turn brown, except at the very top of the test tube. With some Vitamin C added, the color will allways be orange, i.e. not oxidised, even using my blender.
@franzguenther1, this is I why I highly recommend adding ice and / or a little bit of cold water. This will make oxidation a moot issue during the blending cycle, and turn the juicer into a dusty, unused appliance.
@PE425 vitamix doesnt suck. both blenders are very good. it depends on what you are looking for. a blendtec has simple settings and you can just push a button. vitamix (which I have) allows more control and I like the tamper for the vitamix. Most professional chefs use a vitamix. I think a lot of bartenders use blentecs. To say vitamix (or blendtec) sucks is just stupid.
@isaachaze, If I said Blendtec sucks, would be arguing the same way? Of course not, which is why argument is a logical fallacy (and stupid). There are many reasons why VM sucks, when compared to Blendtec. How do someone "like" a tamper? That just doesn't make sense. It is like saying "I love all that manual intervention when I am blending", or "I prefer my blending to be harder and fussier". Actually, the Blendtec offers more control options, and is much faster and easier to use.
@PE425 No, that's why I said saying the Blendtec sucked would also be stupid. No, saying you like to use a tamper makes perfect sense. Both blenders are great blenders. It sort of depends on what you are using them for. And people simply wouldnt be buying vitamixes if they were so inferior to blendtec. No, blendtec is not more controllable than a vitamix. Blendtec is "digital" (push button) and vitamix is analog (control knobs). I prefer the control I get with vitamix. Simple as that
@isaachaze1, "Both Blenders are great blenders." That statement is a deliberate attempt to avoid any honest comparison between the two. Yes, VM is a great blender when compared to just about any other blender. However, when it is compared to a Blendtec, Blendtec wins hands down. VM costs more, requires a tamper for many jobs, is a real bitch to clean, and requires replacement gaskets and blades. Blendtec has none of these issues, has much better performance, and a more durable blade.
@PE425 This is simply fraud and you are providing misinformation to people, for whatever reason. The Blendtec IN NO WAY wins "hands down" or even at all. They both do different things. Saying it's a bitch to clean is a BLATENT lie. The VM is VERY easy to clean and takes me 20 seconds. It DOES NOT require replacement gaskets and blades. The Blendtec DOES NOT HAVE MUCH BETTER PERFORMANCE. Most people LIKE using the tamper. A fair debate is fine; just stop lying. Thanks
@isaachaze1, "They both do different things"?? They both blend. The Blendtec happens to perform much faster and easier. Just see "Raw Food World #316" right here on YT. If you are going to suggest that the VM jar is as easy to clean as Blendtec, then you are living in denial. Moreover, VM operates with a SHARP blade, great for cutting fingers and ruining expensive rubber spatulas. EVERY sharp blade becomes dull, and when it does performance deteriorates until the blade is replaced.
@PE425 Yea, check out a thousand other vids here on youtube comparing the VM and blendtec. They do different things in that they operate differently. The VM is "analog" and the blendec is "digital". I prefer the control of analog. The VM is VERY easy to clean -- put a little dish-soap and warm water, blend, rinse. THe VM has a 7 year warranty. Not sure what blendtec has, but I'm sure it's not better than that. It's fine to like the blendtec, just stop lying about the VM. Blade lasts forever
@isaachaze1, You don't know what you don't know. Unlke VM, the Blendtec blade is designed to operate with a dull blade to begin with, so sharpness wearing down is never a concern. Also, commercial models are a brand's best foot forward. However, VM's best foot forward was to willfully try to copycat Blendtec's design that is found in ALL Blendtec models, which resulted in VM being found guilty of patent theft, with up to $33M being awarded to Blendtec! Good job, VM!
@PE425 I assume you work for blendtec or are a shareholder or something. I have no problem with that. But when you start posting stuff like the VM is hard to clean, etc, that's a problem, and giving people false information. I don't think it actually makes much difference probably, but still, I don't like seeing a bunch of bunk spread about the interwebs.I dont really care about any lawsuits, and major companies are constantly stealing from each other and suing each other for it
@isaachaze1, Yes, you assume that, and like many other people that have made the same assumptions, you are wrong again. I do not, nor have I ever worked for any blender manufacturer. I just happen to have done far more reasearch on the subject than you, and can speak more intelligently about the subject than you.
@PE425 Well, you can certainly lie about the subject a great deal more than I can, I'll give you that. Just the fact that you claim the VM is hard to clean tells me all I need to know about your knowledge of the subject. Let's say that you have a blendtec, you like it, and leave it at that. The truth is, both blenders work very well and people will be happy with either blender. You've obviously never used a VM, and you like your blendtec. Cool. Good luck with everything
@isaachaze1, The one that is spreading BS, is you. Yes, you can try to sidestep the point about VM's patent theft against Blendtec, but it speaks overwhelmingly about who makes the better blender. Even VM's top of the line commercial models cannot compete with Blendtec's entry-level blender. VM knows that they were the best for many decades, and in a desperate attempt to compete with Blendtec, they willfully tried to copy many of Blendtec's patented designs, and like you, are totally busted.
@PE425 I assume you work for blendtec or are a shareholder or something. I have no problem with that. But when you start posting stuff like the VM is hard to clean, etc, that's a problem, and giving people false information. I don't think it actually makes much difference probably, but still, I don't like seeing a bunch of bunk spread about the interwebs.I dont really care about any lawsuits, and major companies are constantly stealing from each other and suing each other for it
@isaachaze1, Because the VM has a 4-prong blade, FDA law requires that the blade and gasket are removable, as they recognize that the VM is nearly impossible to adequately clean without taking the gasket and blade out. The unnecssarily intricate jar shape also does not help the situation. The Blendtec jar is MUCH faster and easier to thoroughly clean, and since it has a 2-prong blade, it is allowed to be factory sealed, allowing much easier cleaning AND without the need to replace gaskets.
@isaachaze1, "Thousand other vids"? Where? You just continue to dig yourself a deeper hole by revealing to everyone how little you know about either one of these blenders. At what point do you finally admit that you are wrong? Go ahead and show everyone how much you know about VM and Blendtec, and point us to a side x side video that shows VM outperforming Blendtec. You can't. Even VM (the company) disagrees with you. They sell replacement blades and gaskets because they DO wear out.
@PE425 Hmmmm, yea, I HAVE a vitamix and have used it for a long time, so I obviously know quite a bit about my own vitamix. Your credibiltity is nil, given that you have blatently lied about the VM (saying it's "a real bitch to clean" etc). Ok, I was exaggerating by saying "thousands" of vids, but there are quite a few vids comparing the VM and the blendtec, and I'm not going to search them out for you (you can easily find them yourself). I never said the vm outperformed the blendtec dumbass
@isaachaze1, I am not the one with a credibility problem. Let's just start by citing references. I have provided a very detailed ref (arguably the most comprehensive review and performance comparison) right here on YT yet you have ZERO references. If you get your facts straight, it would make it less embarrasing for you. I have searched for such performance comparisons between them and the only one with detailed performance comparisons is the one I already cited. Nice try, douchebag. NEXT!
@PE425 Trust me, I'm not in any way embarrassed. If the blendtec was so superior, it would be the end of vitamix, and everyone would just buy the blendtec. Yes, when you stay stupid shit like the vitamix is hard to clean, you have NO credibility. and you didn't cite any performance comparisons, and you are purely pulling shit out of your ass at this point.
@isaachaze1, yes you moron, I DID cite a reference. Apparently, you also can't read worth a shit, and are so stupid that you don't even know when you should feel embarrassed. You cannot even tell when you are getting pummelled. Again, just check "Raw Food World 316" right here on YT. You can't cite any performance comparisons that show VM outperforming Blendtec side-by-side, because you know they don't exist! VM would never do well in performance comparisons next to a Blendtec!
@isaachaze, The only reason why VM has been in most culinary schools is because VM has been around for eons. Subsequently, the reason why most chefs have used VM is because most are trained with them, have been more familiar with them.
So how long did it take you to cut up all those carrots before you made the juice?? and how long did it take you to clean out both containers and the bag you strained it in?? I'm sure that's information your viewers would like to have received during this video. try adding a little ice and maybe some green apple and pineapple, and try using a vitamix next time too cause it makes it a lot better and smoother.
@fullbodyhealth, switching to a VM is the worst idea! Yes, adding a bit if ice can help. When I make carrot juice, I don't waste time chopping them up. I just add a bit of ice, cold water, break the carrots in half, and blend! As for smoothness, I am afraid you are dead wrong. Using the same ingredients, quantity, and blend time, a Blendtec will ALWAYS outperform a VM, and will do it in an overwhelmingly convincing manner!! That is why there are many people switching from VM to Blendtec!
This might be a real nice blender but it makes real bad juice. There are 3 kinds of juicers Masticating ,Centrifugal and ones that grind then press the press method is by far the best but cost a lot .The Centrifugal are very bad for juic,e carrot juice turns brown right before your eyes in these machines I use a champion juicer the juice will stay bright orange for hours
I have just recently started juicing, and my Jack lalane power jucier broke, I was juiceing carrots I had cut up and it just stopped. I guess the motor broke. What is the brand/and or type of the last kind of juicer you are refering to?
I sent you a long message but it did not go through maybe cause i sent a web page get a champion juicer commercial around $260 call them and ask for a furbished one lot better price i have a older household model and its pretty good as well if the carrot fits in the hole you wont have to cut them up at all to get a better juicer you will have to spend around $1,000 or more 1 866 935 8423
I have been juicing for 20 yrs almost every thing this guy is saying is not true. This is one of the worst ways to juice. Without getting to detailed about it this blender mixes a lot of air into the juice you can see that the carrot juice is going brown the very worst thing that can happen to juice
I just bought a 200 dollar juicer, Jack lalans, and I was wondering if you lose any of the vital vitamins in the pulp that is extracted from fruits and vegtables or if teh spinning blades of the juicer affects teh vitamins you are trying to get off teh fruits since the blades are spinning so fast I heard you lose some of the vitamines due to oxidation , do you know anything about this? thank you
Jimmymytube If jacks juicer is Centrifugal ya then it puts a lot of air into the juice it will turn brown kinda fast ,sorry. If you keep the jucier just drink it fast and keep it cold that will help I dont think its the blades that hurt the juice its that spinning basket forcing the juice through tiny holes at 3000 mph. the juice that you get from that thing is still way good for you
Juicing this way releases all the stage 2 juice unlike most juicers. This is a way for people to transition to whole foods. Personally I drink it with the pulp.
what do you do with the pulp? I would like to know a way not to waste the pulp..besides just eating it plain which is good but i know ther is a better way
a couple great ways to utalize the pulp is to throw it back into a smoothie, or I like to throw it in the mix for my raw flax crackers and dehydrate (on a low temp of course!)
Plain and simple, I put 1 cup of water and carrots into a standard blender add a bit more water to make it flow smooth and drink the WHOLE thing. Waste nothing.
@edesir That is good if you want to get some fiber...however, If you use a juicer made for juicing vegies & fruits (that kind that spits out the fiber / waste), you will get 100% juice. The reason why this is superior, is because your body will digest nearly 100% of the vitamins, minerals, ect. If you drink WITH the pulp, a bunch of the good vitamins will be turned into waste (because it has to work 2x as hard to digest the fiber).

He let the carrots blend fot 47 seconds,i make juice like this in my vitamix prep 3 and i never feel a need to let it blend over 10 sec. !

Because of the health benefits of this blender, I wouldn't be surprised if the "medical industry" tried to make it illegal.

I thought you didn't like juicing as stated in your "Blending vs. Juicing" video.
