  • Well - Actually - a side rod bearing was steam cleaned a little too well the night before at the BN Western Ave yard. It ran hot on the trip down - forcing us to stop repeatedly for cooling and lubrication. This BN SD9 was used for the trips to Chicago (Thanks Al), then back in the AM to allow the 261 time overnight to have the bearing repaired. The SD9 ran track speed easily. (Even transitioned into shunt) I think she appreciated the workout - she smiled all the way into CUS. Thanks Twig
