Very interesting footage. One thing that is worth noting is that the troops are in high spirits and very laid back, even to the point of smiling to the camera. They knew it was going to be a piece of cake the moment they landed on the island. The war was practically over after 3 days.

Also it was a necessary and completely legal intervension (as stated by the UN in 1974) but turned to a territorial occupation after a stalemate. 1 - EOKA was created only against the uk that had colonised cyprus.it never raged war against the turkish people that lived there.
2 - greece never had 20.000 men on cyprus.Aprox 2.500 without counting the greek-cypriots.If you searched at the agreement made on 1960 you ll find out how many soldiers should have been on the island for the greek side and the turkish one(inludes no airforce and no navy).

The Turkish invsasion was about atrocities and the abrogation of Turks' rights on the island. This unfortunate fact can not be side stepped because it is central to the lack of trust that exists now.
