The land has been Jewish land for thousands of years, a fact supported by solid scientific evidence as I mentioned. That doesn't mean that Palestinians can't also live there, but it does in fact show that Jews have about a 3,000 year head start on inhabiting the land compared to Palestinians.

The land is the historic homeland of the Jewish People, and that fact is supported through thousands of years of historical, written, and archeological evidence. Palestinians of today certainly deserve a homeland, possibly in part of the Jewish land since it would be convenient for them, but the fact is that the land is proven Jewish.

Alex, I believe you are the one that would benefit from such a Middle East History class. While you are right that Israel DID achieve its independence in 1948, everything I said is correct. The land has been Jewish land for thousands of years, a fact supported by solid scientific evidence as I mentioned. That doesn't mean that Palestinians can't also live there, but it does in fact show that Jews have about a 3,000 year head start on inhabiting the land compared to Palestinians.

call it whatever you'd like. The West Bank was in control of the Jordanians until they decided to attack Israel in 1967 and lose it. Jerusalem was never part of the Palestinian state offered in 1948, it was supposed to be under UN control because they knew that Muslims would never let non-Muslims pray.Even if it was part of the Palestinian partition which it wasn't, the Arabs turned down the partition and launched a war in which they threatened to drive the Jews into the sea.

I'm not talking on their behalf though but I think they are caring about what they should, and they're doing a great job since at least for now I don't think "world peace" is on their agenda (maybe after Palestine is liberated from israeli occupation and is given back to it's owners).
