Chantal was way better. I liked her a lot. Saleisha is a bitch. I think it wasn't a fair fight for both of them since one of them had a good experience prior entering the ANTM contest. Besides, Chantal has a good heart.

@Aprilrosegibbons I think the rules state that the contestants aren't allowed to have appeared in any national campaigns prior to the show, so the Wendy's ad breaks that rule. As for the other appearances, they don't break the rules as far as I know but as someone said it shows that Sal had a relationship with Tyra, which gives her an unfair advantage. Don't know if this was a set-up but it is rather unfair.

Saleisha is extremely beautiful, I'm certain most of the haters on here are jealous. I loved both Saleisha and Chantal, but Saleisha's pictures WERE stronger than Chantal's. The fact that Tyra steamrolled her through the competition eliminating much better contestants....she won and then it all turned out Saleisha had been on ANTM, the Tyra Banks show, had broken eligibility rules to enter the show...it was an obvious fix.

Saleisha is a good model, but should not have been allowed on ANTM.
Saleisha was the WORST winner in Top Model history. The ONLY reason she won is because of Tyra's bias toward her and the fact that they knew each other BEFORE the competition began. Cycle 9 was RIGGED. Jenah should have won.

Wow I can't believe that was 4 years ago....anyways this was the one year that I didn't really watch top model simply cuz of this but it's really no big deal. Just didn't watch it...waited till the next year to come. My favorite ANTM was cycle 3 tho.
saleisha deserved to win, she had the BETTER walk, by a mile and she was more creative in her pictures, with the dynamic poses (jumping in the air, hanging upside down, moving around the frame, with her leg up) and she SAID that she had experience before, and she STILL had to IMPROVE herself and work for it and she DID
The same happened with Jaslene, cause she was there in cycle 7 and she clearly said to Tyra I'll be back and surprise, she wins cycle 8 , that was a deal already arranged, but at least Jaslene is a good model cause Saleisha isn't!

Top model contestants are allowed to have past modelling experience. Many, maybe even most, do.
Saleisha was in a modelling camp held by Tyra which the two of them mentioned in the first episode of her season as this video shows. That's probably why she's seen in the cycle 6 runway and on the Tyra Show.

i think all this is unfair for the rest of the contestants because, this is a competition for amateur models, and being on those commercials and events, specialy on tyra's show gives her the title of "professional". But, she didn't won that much experience, because her photos at ANTM weren't the best.

I actually can't believe something like this happened, it just proves how brainwashing and conspiring the industries, economies, the government really are. I think it's sick that Tyra already knew Saleisha, and not only knew her but they had some kind of relative history. From the very start when Saleisha was crying when the 13 girls were picked, I knew something was off when she was chosen because it seemed too obvious. Reached a decision? I think they reached their final decision at the start.
Not only did they take away that one chance from a girl that really deserved it, they gave it to someone who didn't need it because she was already involved in the industry and had even appeared on television together with Tyra Banks, and that alone is enough to start a career these days.
Besides the immorality of this, it has broken official rules which is just unacceptable, no matter what the situation.
You can say that there is no point in making this fuss, but this comes pretty close to corruption. Beside the fact that Saleisha already had a place in the model industry, national, she was also on very good terms with Tyra and with that you could say she already had it in the bag. There are so many aspects that bother me about this - the whole purpose of the show is to give a girl with potential the chance to get into the industry, someone who wouldn't have gotten that chance otherwise.

i don't think anything was wrong with saleisha winning. there are a lot of models who make it to antm and already have experience when they come. it also isn't like tyra was the only one who chose her to win. there are five judges and they all have a say on who they feels should win.

One of the rules of trying out for ANTM is that you can't have had a previous modeling contract within the last 5 years and you couldn't have appeared in a national advertising or marketing campaign. She broke both of those rules, so as far as I'm concerned she shouldn't have even been allowed to try out.

Top model contestants are allowed to have past modelling experience. Many, maybe even most, do.
Saleisha was in a modelling camp held by Tyra which the two of them mentioned in the first episode of her season as this video shows. That's probably why she's seen in the cycle 6 runway and on the Tyra Show.
And 7:04 ? Seriously?? You think THAT'S part of a scandal, that Tyra has the same haircut as Saleisha in one photo? Tyra had the EXACT same hair as Chantal in almost every elimination night!!!!

i think all this is unfair for the rest of the contestants because, this is a competition for amateur models, and being on those commercials and events, specialy on tyra's show gives her the title of "professional". But, she didn't won that much experience, because her photos at ANTM weren't the best.

Saleisha already knew Tyra before ANTM she went to Tyra's self esteem camp when she was 14 so I think thats why Tyra choose her plus Saleisha was with an agency before Antm but Tyra still allowed her to enter the competition Tyra had it planned out I love Tyra but she got some tricks up her sleeves.

I actually can't believe something like this happened, it just proves how brainwashing and conspiring the industries, economies, the government really are. I think it's sick that Tyra already knew Saleisha, and not only knew her but they had some kind of relative history. From the very start when Saleisha was crying when the 13 girls were picked, I knew something was off when she was chosen because it seemed too obvious. Reached a decision? I think they reached their final decision at the start.

You can say that there is no point in making this fuss, but this comes pretty close to corruption. Beside the fact that Saleisha already had a place in the model industry, national, she was also on very good terms with Tyra and with that you could say she already had it in the bag. There are so many aspects that bother me about this - the whole purpose of the show is to give a girl with potential the chance to get into the industry, someone who wouldn't have gotten that chance otherwise.

i don't think anything was wrong with saleisha winning. there are a lot of models who make it to antm and already have experience when they come. it also isn't like tyra was the only one who chose her to win. there are five judges and they all have a say on who they feels should win.

One of the rules of trying out for ANTM is that you can't have had a previous modeling contract within the last 5 years and you couldn't have appeared in a national advertising or marketing campaign. She broke both of those rules, so as far as I'm concerned she shouldn't have even been allowed to try out.
