  • victorinox

  • Spyderco, Mora, Sog, Benchmade, Victorinox, Kershaw, Buck

  • Victorinox, gerber and buck

  • COLD STEEL best quality ever

  • sog, ontario, kershaw

  • Buck, Kershaw, Cold Steel in no particular order for me. As far as customer service is concerned...I have never had to return any of their blades. Another to mention (non-folder) would be Mora. For the money, it's hands down the best utility, skinning, woodcarving blades I have used. I buy Mora knives from Amos Outdoors exclusively due to their excellent, professional and timely service.

  • Where are the esee gerber and ka-bar

  • Esee knives are by far the best knives I have ever own.

  • i'm a kershaw guy!!! LOVE THEY'RE KNIVES, but i am leaning towards SOG also so i gues i could have two knife companies.

  • @bladedweapons sog knives are nice but there customer service sucks!!

  • @Lookinformemarbles haha my parents wont let me order offline i'm only 13 soo yeah they said no haha but how does they're service suck?

  • Yo, it's funney, I have the kershaw scallion the spyderco persistance and the swiss besides some others. We have many weapons in common

  • @thenowandaway we got good taste!!

  • Also like Kershaw. A whole lot of knife for your money.

Besides those… Victorinox and perhaps Mora if we're not just talking folders.

  • for right now i love buck knives i can afford them

  • buck, victorinox, and most recently kershaw. just got my first one, a scallion with a half-serrated blade. my dad got an oso sweet at the same time, yet i like it less because it it made in china. but as of right now, benchmade makes the best factory knives hands down.

  • I dont really care as long as it works.

  • There are lots of good knives out there, but I’m a big fan of Gerber. Quality is good, prices are great and they are made in Portland, OR.

  • I like the fast deployment of SOG Flash 1,2 and Aegis.

  • for money and quality so far its the kershaw made in america..... close 2nd spyderco wish it was made in america.. cant beat the tenacious for under $30...

  • Gotta love Kershaw!

  • I have to go with RAT company. My Rat-1 folder beats the Tenacious any day. ;)

  • @bfgguns Is there a big price difference? I have heard good things about those!

  • @Lookinformemarbles

The RAT-1 is cheaper or has the same price as the Tenacious, don't know exactly for what you can get it. But for me, it was cheaper than the Tenacious. It's more rugged, has better finish and I like the blade also more. ;)

  • ESEE

  • I'm liking my Spyderco Knives, you cant beat a time proven knife. But have a couple CRKT's that I do enjoy also. Love there designs, and non traditional approach to the pocket knife. I carry a CRKT peck as a money clip. Sharp as heck, and always on me.

  • Great vid Mike! I like them all but I do carry Sogs more than any other. Kershaw does make some great stuff to.

  • @Mr45Bullitt Yea i am still waiting on my Sog to come back! I hope this week! Take Care Bill.

  • got to be wenger or victorinox. made in europe, cheap, decent quality and mostly legal where I live.

  • Not sure I can weigh in on this, but Buck seems to be able to hold their own! The Bantam and Vantage knives seem to be an excellent and affordable option.

  • Favorite, most affordable knife i've owned : Kershaw Blur. outstanding. I've owned two SOG's and need to give them love too. The "blink" is a great EDC. would like to get my hands on that multicam aegis you had though. How much did you pay for that?

  • Can't say which is best, but I've had a couple cheapos that destructed fast - the all time worst was a 'smith & wesson' labeled knife that lasted two days ... got it for fifteen dollars back in 2002. My favorite is an Osbourne Design commissioned by the NRA - a Benchmade Goucho. I've carried it in my pocket for four years now. I love it.

  • My favorite changes from time to time. But right now i have to say folders kershaws has my vote.

  • zero tolerance. so i guess thats kershaw.

  • I have to say Spyderco. For all the same reasons I love GLOCK. Great value and they WORK.

  • benchmade

  • SPYDERCO! no question. with $20 knives to $500 knives, every kind of locking mechs, all the handle styles, blade materials. & no one can touch the customer service that spyderco is putting out. i'll always be a spydie fan.

  • in my opinion i would have to say victorinox

  • @kirklanddavis yeah me too!

victorinox(cause its all i have lol)

  • hey I gotta problem with my kershaw I have to call them I guess

  • That's easy, Kershaw, love there variety of choices of well made and affordable knives.

  • puma

  • My choice is kershaw as well........ they are great quality and they have great prices. I never had to deal with customer service because out the box the knife is solid and sharp so I never had any problems so never contacted customer service. Every kershaw I had made me bleed so people need to respect the knife and not treat it like a dull POS lol yenz out hahahahah

  • VERY tough call. If you're talking folders, the Zero Tolerance 300 series (Kershaw) are MONSTERS in terms of what you get for your money....but so are some Benchmades and Spydercos....tough one bro.

  • My favorite knives are Case... but for carrying probably spyderco or benchmade

  • I agree with ya-Kershaw

  • I agree! Kershaw-Great prices, quality's good, endless variety, and good design!!

  • I totally agree, for the money, Kershaw. I actually use my knife everyday and if I were to break my Kershaw somehow I would be bummed out but they are affordable enough to go out and buy a new Kershaw. Thumbs UP!!

  • Benchmade

  • Frost Cutlery BABY!

  • Frost Cutlery BABY!

  • im a fixed blade kinda guy do id have to say K-Bar, but for a folder Kershaw is one of the best.

  • too many to choose

  • COLD STEEL

  • Chris Reeve Knives and Spyderco :)

  • Benchmade !!! Life time sharpening..DKG

  • COLD STEEL AND SPYDERCO! but i really like almost every knife!

  • SPYDERCO FOR SURE! ALL THEIR KNIVES ARE SOLID AND SHARP AS HELL

  • SPYDERCOOOOOOO!

  • nice video marbles keep up the good work

  • Value for your dollar I'd probably give to kershaw or boker. Both have really cool designers come in and produce good work. Emerson, strider, and Chris reeve are just phenomenal if you have the coin, but price is a factor. I think you'd be hard pressed, however, not to give it to Spyderco in the end. Bang for your buck, I just don't see better. I think people can loose sight of overall value when bogged down in issues that for the most part doesn't pertain to them(Type of steel for instance)

  • Spyderco, CRK, high quality and bang for your buck!

  • for folders - Kershaw (w/o a doubt)

For fixed blades - Ontario (great quality, great value)

  • Spyderco and Benchmade my favs too

  • overall...spyderco its been that way for years if your talking overall company spyderco hands down, now that being said some companies put out a great model here and there...but with the literaly thousands of knives that went through my hands over the years spyderco has let me down the least...

  • Gerber Hands Down!

  • @stlstunnerr hahaha thats a joke right! lol

  • ill stick with my BUCK Vantage series

  • kershaw/ZT

  • Fixed blades, love my KA-BARs. Still don't have a ton of experience with folders, owned a couple but I honestly cannot even remember who made them (been years since I had a folder). Been looking at Spydies, Kershaws, and Benchmades, but I like the looks, and the fact that Kershaws are made in the USA the most so far. We'll see what I end up grabbing when I get the chance.

  • for folders i like Chris Reeve Knives and Spyderco. for fixed blades i like ESEE knives. but i have others that i like, kershaw makes a great knife. and i will be trying out other manufactures in the near future. such as lionsteel.

  • cold steel is the best their are cheep and will keep an edge and are easy to sharpen

  • 1 spyderco = Value and Performance.

2 Emerson = Quality and performance.

3 Cold Steel= Price and Performance.

  • Why does everyone like spyderco so much? I havent heard of anyone using them for bushcrafting or hunting. And the tenacious all I hear about is how it opens up and cuts everyone. Im not saying theyre bad but im just wondering.

  • I'm going with Kershaw, but reserve the right to change after I find out what their cust. service does with me. Cool Vid!

  • Value for your money? Only Sanrenmu

  • Spyderco!!

  • BUCK KNIVES !!!!!

  • that i own? timber rattler and corona professional. if swords count then musashi. yup k bye.

  • #1 EMERSON... no issues, owned 9 of them. USA made

#2 Kershaw/Zero Tolerance ... Great values, but some odd clips, USA made

Liking the CASE, BUCKs. CANAL STREETs & Striders that I've bought too, also USA made. Spyderco is nice also, love the Milie and other USA made ones. Hate their new wire clip everyone else seems to love. Had some issues with my Benchmades even though some are my favorites. Of the "imports", only cheap Boker Plus CLBs and Victorinox seem to make it into my house anymore.

  • Lovin' the Kershaw and the spyderco.

  • ontario knife and steel (k-bar ol hickory and a bunch more)

  • Buck

  • Spyderco has been doing good by me

  • From my experience, Spyderco never seems to disappoint.

  • i would have to say coldsteel!

  • In my experience, Quality: Benchmade > Kershaw > Victorinox > Spyderco > SOG > CRKT. Value: Spyderco and Kershaw. Overall Functionality, quality, choices and value Spyderco wins for me

  • couldn't agree more!!!

  • For fit, finish, warranty service, overall build quality and value for the buck, my choice is Kershaw. Even the knives they have made in China are well made, at least the ones I've had experience with.

  • For folders, I have a Spyderco Edura which is pretty nice I would say they are best in that category.

Just got a SOG Seal Team Elite today, I'm really liking it.

  • Spyderco all things considered

  • Spyderco/Benchmade

  • Spyderco is tops in my book.

  • Benchmade is for me

  • bench made / sog /kershaw

  • yea,Spyderco, i do love me kershaws tho:D

  • Cold Steel / Benchmade

  • Kershaw for value and customer service, Spyderco for quality, design, and functionality. Victorinox is good too, but not my favorite. CRKT isn't bad either.

  • only my lovely black tac tanto Walther knife !! lol !!

  • Kershaw for smaller knives. Ka-Bar Beker for larger knives.

  • RAT/esse

  • KERSHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • spyderco,kershaw,and kabar

  • SCHRADE, mine is made in the USA. My 2 dollor folder has been used and abused and its still no blade play, and its still sharp.

  • spyderco and kabar!!!!!

  • For value Kershaw & Spyderco both have great knives for the money. But if you're looking for the absolute BEST. EMERSON...hands down.

  • i go with kershaw made and produced in the U.S ^-|^ and spyderco gotta be good

  • Id say if we're talking about this level of knife then Kershaw has the overall best product. I love my Spyderco's but I still feel that the overall product itself is being done best by Kershaw. As stated in the beginning, I cant speak for high end blade makers due to lack of use in my part.

  • 1. Spyderco.

    2. Kershaw

    3. Buck

    4. CRKT

    5. S.O.G. Would be higher, but over priced for blade steel used.

  • For me it's: Spyderco, Victorinox and kershaw

  • sog/kershaw/spyderco

  • SOG/Cold Steel

  • I know you just wanted the brands but might as well say which knives got me to love the brand..

    kershaw---OD-2, EDC, love that knife

    spyderco---Grasshopper, gotta love the micro's

buck---186 Odyssey, shame they stoped making it

CRKT---Ignitor, sweet assisted technology and badass serrations

  • Hey man, great topic. I'm with you man, it's hard to beat the quality and value of a Kershaw! They do it right with their 20-50 dollar knives. I absolutely love their stuff!

  • Case Cutlery has the best quality and customer service IMO.

  • Case probably has the best quality and best old school knives all case knives are made in usa,you don't always need fast opening, but spyderco is awesome, spyderco probably has the the best opening speed for a manual knife, and kershaw is a great company too.

  • Ka-Bar, SOG, Spyderco

  • One vote for Spyderco.

  • I like Cold Steel

  • SOG for me! 100% hands down.

  • will just to put a comment on his page i have a kershaw like the blue one he and it grate but if could have what i call a good knife but do not own one yet it would be the SPYDERCO MILITARY!!!!!!

  • I`ll have to say Spyderco,Kershaw and CRKT all good brands. Thanks for the vid :)

  • I would have to say either SOG or Kershaw!! I bought a SOG for my buddy as a gift and he seems to love it, I carry a Kershaw Ken Onion, I love that damn knife...Its built to last!!! Great vid man!!!

  • Sog, Spyderco & Kershaw are all tied, but with ZT I gotta give it to Kershaw.

  • For all their faults, Benchmade makes knives of consistently hight quality at fair prices, and the Axis lock is absolutely the best. Spyderco is excellent, but you have to love the Spyder Hole to love Spyderco, and I just don't. Buck is always Buck, but not fully up to speed in 2011. SOG makes good knives, but for under $100 you get junk with "SOG" written all over it. Kershaw makes great blades, in the US, but they hate lefties, of whom I am one. Winner: *sigh* Benchmade, as always.

  • Kershaw is number one for me ...Sog close second for me too

  • @TheFirearmsChannel Thanks Mike! Wings for lunch today?!

  • @Lookinformemarbles I always like Spyderco...but it's the Kershaw Clash I've been carrying....P

  • CRKT

  • Im going to have to say first choice KA-BAR second CRKT- mainly because I love my My Tighe

  • @Sccuba182 Almost bought a dozer! Still think i should!

  • @Lookinformemarbles Lol, Do did I actually! Im saving up for the Kukri Machete though I really want one! haha I recently just got the Ka-bar Next Generation in grey its awesome shes a killer!

    Cheers!

  • I gotta go with Benchmade. Love the axis lock with a pocket folder

  • @YokoWenis Yea that is one knife i don't own is a benchmade!!

  • I too love Kershaw knives man. I just ordered the OD-2 And the OSO Sweet. Like you just said for the price you cannot beat the quality. Check out Smokey Mountain Knife Works. Thats where I ordered them from. Awesome Prices! ! !

  • @SONOFAHGUN Yea man i will check them out! Let us see them when they come in!

  • Chris Reeve, Benchmade, Spyderco, Victorinox

  • @The1Epistle Thanks nice choices!

  • Emerson

    Spyderco

    Great Vid!!!

  • @bankmind80 Thanks man I don't own a emerson!

  • Across the board I have to say Spyderco, I think they have the most winners in their catalog consistently .

  • @hathcocked Yea there selection is Sweet! Not enough funds though! lol

  • @Lookinformemarbles I hear that! lol.

  • Right now benchmade, is working for me. Had numerous Kershaws and loved them. Thinking bout getting a spyderco.

  • @Middnite8 Get that spydee

  • dont own anuf to say

  • @whatscooking96 Thanks 4 watching though!

  • @ITHINKUREALESUK I need to get a gerber!

  • Benchmade

  • gotta say:

    Spyderco

    CRKT

    Kershaw

    "before he became famous"...lol

  • @JohnWayneColt45 Lol Your a high roller now! I did not even see this vid when you made it i don't think! Dam o well ask again lol....

  • @Lookinformemarbles its all good man, the more vids the more info.Everybody has different opinions to bring to the community.

  • Spyderco makes the best.... but be careful cause those ffg blades will cut you deep!

  • @mechanisto1832 Yea they are sharp as hell 4 sure! Thanks!

  • just bought my first Kershaw yesterday and i love it!

  • @Brandon401401 What kind? Did you do a vid? I never get all my vids from people i sub to! Thanks!

  • kershaw

  • @fruitsaj Yes!

  • Hmm i guess i'll go with Spyderco, Victorinox and Gerlach (polish company) :). Great video mike!!

  • @TheLazySpoiledKitty Thanks buddy!

  • spyderco, whatever the price great quality and they have great prizes aswell.

  • @XDHardstylerXD I like spydee as well!

  • I 2nd Kershaw.
