the knot's are no where near tight if all the pins are out they fall out on their own. But bobby pins are a pain so I wouldn't recommend this for an every day style, just something fun every now and than. To make this even easier you could make rope braids and normal braids and just twist them around and pin them down.

Your videos are great but one thing is really bothering me... you keep using THAN instead of THEN. Than is referring to "rather than" Then is referring to the future... "Now and THEN" "...THEN you tie the knots..."

Really cute. Suggestion on the fake hair that might be helpful for those who might have problems juggling real hair, fake hair and hair elastics. Have the fake hair be twice the length you want fold it over the hair band and secure with one of the little clear poly rubber bands that you can find for securing the ends of a braid. Alternatively, get a big, blunt, plastic tapestry needle with a big eye and thread the fake hair through after the real hair is secured.
