@beavinator420 I find Bathory quite tame compared to Emperor. You know the lead singer for Emperor is currently sitting in some cell in an insane asylum because he killed the lead singer of a roval band, and ate a bit of his brain?

He wanted a guitar, but the guards wouldn't give him one, only a little keyboard. So he sits in his cell making weird keyboard music as we speak. Emperor own lol.

Ihsahn was the singer of Emperor, now he has his own solo band. He lives with his wife and kids, definitely not sitting in jail.

Varg Vikernes killed Euronymous from Mayhem, then was in jail until recently where he made synth music. He's out now though, and has released new albums. He didn't eat any brains or weird shit like that though.

@MrAintyermate umm, i would consider "Under the Sign of the Black Mark" to be the defineing album for black metal, since every black metal album has elements of that sound. just listen to "Call from the Grave" and "Enter the Eternal Fire", and then listen to any other black metal song. Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, Immortal, Enslaved, and even Mayhem borrowed pretty much the entire basics of their sound from that album. Quorthorn created black metal, and then he created Viking Metal.
