I live in the rainforest. You cut down a tree today. Another one will grow in its place tomorrow. Actually, three will grow in its place over the next few years. It is the way the companies export the logs whole--there is NO downstream processing done in PNG!!! It is the way that miniscule payments are made to the landowners only and the way the landowners waste that money that is the sad thing. Greenpeace, please campaign for the people primarily. Not for carbon dioxide.

What a load of rubbish! Carbon Dioxide does not cause climate change, so the destruction of rainforests does, nothing although it is cruel.
