Monica just found them hiding here on youtube at ElectricBoysTV. Slam them with fanmail so they don't get lonely. No one's been to their channel or left them comments.
New EB info: The compilation album is called "NOW DIG THIS! The Best Of" and will be released 25 May (UK) and 27 May (Sw & Fin). Summer tour dates being scheduled. Also, I have an all-Electric boys playlist here on youtube as best as I could scratch together if you're interested (see my channel, at top). Here's hoping they get their own channel soon! :-D
@christopherdaisy This explains why they changed the tracklist for the American market. They replaced Get Nasty, Party up, Freaky funksters, Hallelujah I'm on fire and Funk o metal carpet ride for Bob Rock's five produced tracks that was more appealing to the American market.
This was first released on Mercury Sweden AB in 1989 on both CD, LP and cassette for the Scandinavian market. It was also released on Vertigo in 1989 for the European market with same tracklist as the Swedish pressing.
I used to strut my stuff on the dance floor at the Astoria to their tracks back in the good 'ole days, got to see them 3 times, got autographed a 12" of Elecrified which hung on the wall in my room when I was a younger man.
Conny is a real genius guitarist and always a pleasure to listen to.
I first these in the UK in 1990 supporting Thunder. I bought the album the next day and was a fan from then. Its a pity they didn't last long. The new remasters are amazing, great for those in parts of the world that didn;t get the Swedish original tracks.
Damn, I lived for the 80's but this is the 2nd band sent to me now that I have no clue who they are. LOL! I'm in Canada, so where are these guys from and did they get very big??? I'm sure I woulda heard about these guys if they toured Canada in the 80's. unless I was too stoned to remember them. lmao!
It is on the Original Version of "Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride". They changed it for the US release. Look for the remastered version that came out last year as it includes all the original tracks as well as bonus tracks.
it was released on an EP with Lips and Hips and Electrified - I think I might have picked it up as an import though - certainly the boys didn't know it existed in that form when they signed it for me.
"Get Nasty" was the band's second single from 1987. It was also on the first (Swedish) version of "Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride", as was "Freaky Funksters", "Hallelujah!" and the title track. Don't know why they excluded them. Great trax!
Conny has released a few solo albums and an album with Titanic Truth, plus he was in Silver Ginger 5. Conny and Andy are now in Hanoi Rocks.
The CD re-issue of "Funk-O-Metal..." on Sweden Rock/Universal contains all 15 tracks from both versions, plua another 3 bonus (2 live and one early version of Lips N Hips).
Conny was also in a band called Rollin´ with Rolene once who made one really bad album, I think Andy was in the band to, but I´m not 100% sure of that.

saw these live a few times - always great - when they toured with thunder - now that was a great gig...

Lips and Hips almost! As an American this was too keyboardlike for those days.

The band was actually called Rolene. He was also in Roadrats who released two singles. This was prior to the E Boys days.
