  • This was the last Top-40 tune that The Rolling Stones would ever have in The USA. The Music Industry imploded soon there after. Nice tune, by the way.

  • these lyrics are dated. we can use the wind to get the paradize back. easy. wind powers, LH2, via the windsurfing formula: mass in motion. energy. e = 1/2 M v^2 in Watts. Mass in motion is what the fields gives us. wind and, wind made waves at sea. so, we can work and spail to get ''ít'''back. the fields of Eden are full of energy. and if we spail and we strail we get the water back. spailingstrailing, for you and me. spailing is here, to use the trash, the wind. global warming, more wind.

  • Drummer always looks like he doesn't want to be there...but he has been,for years;

  • Insipid and limp in the studio, this song comes alive on stage with keef flashing out the licks.

  • has this song influenced the book title the one for 127 hours? or the otherway round?

  • the Stones hit #23 in Billboard, 12-23-89. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great weekend!

  • Steel Wheels - my favorite Stones album till now

  • it sounds like a duran duran bass line.

  • Finally a video for this song with a much better quality.

  • Lyrics say truth

  • Still prophetic....especially today! When are we going to get off our duffs and demand peace? Nobody is going to do it for us. There will be no Deus Ex Machina folks.

  • So much better than the other version, which is the same as this one, only the song lyrics are super imposed over most of the footage of the band and you can barely see them.

  • this song is amazing yet seems nobody remembers it, never play it on my local radios, not once.

  • @chechar3dg My guess is it was censored. How dare they suggest that we're between a rock and a hard place?! But that is the truth! You like this song for the same reasons I do I bet!

  • who really plays bass at this song? don´t tell me bill because i don´t believe it

  • @mprieto504 well, this was recorded in i believe the late 80s, and bill left the stones in 93, so whether you believe it or not it is probably bill, unless someone briefly took his place for some reason

  • @mprieto504 yes that's Bill!!!

why don't you believe it?...he is an awesome bassist

  • One of their best songs! Great video !

  • eso es un verdadero clasico q Maestros Atte: un amigo de Ecuador

  • The Stones make every other rock band look lame by comparison.

It's hard to believe, but I've been jamming to the Stones since the 1960's.

  • very good song.....great freaakin' band!!

  • this video was flimmed in FOXBORO I was outside the stadium in Oct. 1989

  • this is another favorites of mine...

  • best 80´s discoinfluenced Stones

    Rolling Stones rocks!!!

  • i first herd this song at the gym my dad goes too :p

  • I hear ya man, this is one of the better ones they put out.

  • This song speaks of the present state of the world right now...how prophetic...

  • This song never ever gets old, love it every time I hear it and love watching Mick sing & dance to it!He is pure raw sex at it's best! Thanks for this post! xoxoxoxoxo

  • Extremely camp! Extremely rock n roll! Extremely good!

  • Great Stones tune...forgot about this one!

  • Mick you rule! All the Stones do!

  • Such a great tune man!

  • Between "IRAQ" (a rock) and a hard place....so on the point. Were in the same boat on the same sea, and were sailing south (going to hell), building dream churches with silver spires (false relegions), and our rouge children playing loaded dice...(the deck is stacked) JUST MY TAKE on awesome lyrics, i wonder what was their inspiration for such insightful lyrics!

  • @mrgoodvibrations good comment

  • @mrgoodvibrations Oh wow, that wasn't needed.

  • Of all the bands to out last others. They were in line to be the first ones to go down.

    Stone ME!!!!!!!!!

  • This version is better than the others (where you can barely see them).

  • This song kicks ass!!!!!

  • I still love this tune.
