This was the last Top-40 tune that The Rolling Stones would ever have in The USA. The Music Industry imploded soon there after. Nice tune, by the way.
these lyrics are dated. we can use the wind to get the paradize back. easy. wind powers, LH2, via the windsurfing formula: mass in motion. energy. e = 1/2 M v^2 in Watts. Mass in motion is what the fields gives us. wind and, wind made waves at sea. so, we can work and spail to get ''ít'''back. the fields of Eden are full of energy. and if we spail and we strail we get the water back. spailingstrailing, for you and me. spailing is here, to use the trash, the wind. global warming, more wind.
Still prophetic....especially today! When are we going to get off our duffs and demand peace? Nobody is going to do it for us. There will be no Deus Ex Machina folks.
So much better than the other version, which is the same as this one, only the song lyrics are super imposed over most of the footage of the band and you can barely see them.
@chechar3dg My guess is it was censored. How dare they suggest that we're between a rock and a hard place?! But that is the truth! You like this song for the same reasons I do I bet!
@mprieto504 well, this was recorded in i believe the late 80s, and bill left the stones in 93, so whether you believe it or not it is probably bill, unless someone briefly took his place for some reason
This song never ever gets old, love it every time I hear it and love watching Mick sing & dance to it!He is pure raw sex at it's best! Thanks for this post! xoxoxoxoxo
Between "IRAQ" (a rock) and a hard place....so on the point. Were in the same boat on the same sea, and were sailing south (going to hell), building dream churches with silver spires (false relegions), and our rouge children playing loaded dice...(the deck is stacked) JUST MY TAKE on awesome lyrics, i wonder what was their inspiration for such insightful lyrics!

The Stones make every other rock band look lame by comparison.
It's hard to believe, but I've been jamming to the Stones since the 1960's.

Rolling Stones rocks!!!
