Dallas, Texas here. Daytona Beach is a wonderful place. Always a smile when I hear those waves.

I use to reside in Mesquite...in fact use to work at the rodeo their. My best friend got me interested in Florida because he always talked up the beaches Padre Island and my friends in Lousiana reguarly try to attend the Kappy Beach party in Galveston I think...

In any case after enough Travel Channel & Miami CSI episodes I was hooked on Florida...lol
