  • Yes, all of this is true, but the drug label states all of these things. I have been on Zoloft for six months now (starting to wein off it), and I have not gotten any of these symptoms. I'm not saying that no one gets these symptoms. However, I feel that it is the responsibility of the doctor to be sure that the patient is benefitting from antidepressants. If a patient is getting these symptoms early on, they should tell their doctor. The doctor would prescribe another antidepressant.

  • Just legalize weed and solve many problems.

  • its makes u smart right anyone because i am very smart after taking it very calm.

  • @nsn889 Yea keep taking your poison and everything will. be. Just. Fine. Idiot

  • its makes u smart right anyone because i am very smart ate taking it very calm.

  • My mom was 100% in good health. Physically and mentally. She went to a fruit loop phychitrist and she prescibed her Geodon. Its a mistake that has about killed my mom. She now weighs 115 lbs and cant even drive. She is now has to be with a family member 24/7 because it has (destroyed her mind)

It makes you loose your mind and will destroy it. The peaple in the FDA that allows this and the Dr prescibing it should burn in hell because they know the truth. It destroys minds and famlies

  • i take sertraline and went out on a binge drink they made me feel like i was in a trip. i was about to play darts and someone said i dare you to stab yourself in the leg with a dart and for no reason i started stabbing myself over 20 times later that night i threw a glass at someones dog for no reason. i am not like this when i drink i only started going weird after taking medication. i would advise people to not take anti-depressants.

  • having a different brain is a gift...being insane is ok coz thats the way god made your wonderful brain and your amazing thinking ..also there is a very thin line between lunacy and intelligence....

  • these drugs should be illegal!

  • I started on Wellbutrin, next to Celexa, then it was Effexor, Then from there is was Cymbalta. When I first started on anti-depressants they felt like just what I needed. I felt good, I laughed a lot, I always was in a positive optimistic mood. Believe it or not it all started with just one pill Wellbutrin which was administered just after my coming clean off of street drugs and alcohol addiction. Currently I am on: hydroxiyzine, trazodone, clontidine, and Cymbalta. I feel like killing myself. ☹

  • What would happen if you took ecstasy while on 40 mg of Celexa? Or just simple shrooms, even?

  • scientologist crap ... research based on scientology is not science...

Yes antidepressants are not perfect but they have saved many lives.

  • Psychetruth my ass, Columbine was a psyop and had nothing to do with anti-depressants. Hell any idio who looks at the death photo of Harris and Klebold can tell they were already placed on the ground when they were shot. I agree there's a problem with the may these medications are distributed to everyone but they have helped me and countless others. Antidepressants don't cause violence, idiot doctors do.

  • @Siva3Enthroned You are misinformed. Please do some research.

  • @Glamrma Is that all you have to say? I have personal experience, I am currently on a high dose of an anti-depressant because anti-depressants in high doses have an anti-obsessive action and I'm obsessive compulsive. You can present me with a study saying anti-depressants give everyone AIDS too, and it will be a waste of your time as I haven't got AIDS. Not until my medication could I successfully employ cognitive behaviour therapy, and you're telling me you know better? As I said...

  • @Siva3Enthroned And you seem to have a lot of hostility. Which is part of the point.

  • @Glamrma And that ladies and gentelmen, is a fine example of a cop out.

  • @Siva3Enthroned gentlemen even. Type fail.

  • @Glamrma ...the problem is indiscriminant prescribing, not the drug itself. Argue with my experience all you want expert but if I got a positive result from my medication (and am certainly not "numb", "dumbed down", or "docile", look at my videos) then clearly the "anti-depressants harm everyone" idea is down the toilet.

  • ...The pills and I felt better within the next few days.

I was also taking an anti psychotic drug called Resperidone (May have spelt that wrong), I was wondering if you know of any bad reactions it can cause taking both at once?

  • When I was 14 I was on a drug called Celexa, which is a Prozac knockoff, and I experienced a lot of these side effects, particularly depersonalization and restlessness. One day, after I had been taking it for almost a year, I was lying in my room and felt this sudden urge to do something, I started to just freak out and I immediately decided that I had to bring a gun to school. Luckily, I realized after a while how irrational this was and I decided that what I have to do is to stop taking...

  • I am so sick of this crap!! If the media spent more time on reporting the good that these drugs do for 1000's of people and how they change lifes in a positive way instead of only focusing on the negative maybe people would not swallow this stuff so easily. By the way I take 3 psych meds, yes 3!One of which is Zoloft, and I have not tried to kill anybody all week!!

  • @sboyer38 You are fortunate. But what if your friend, your mother, father, sister, brother were on the same stuff and became violent? Just because you didn't experience a bad reaction does not mean that it can't happen.

  • @Glamrma I have been getting treated for my illness since I was in my early 20s.I have been through the mental health system in my state. I know more people taking medication than I can remember. I have only met about 2 people in all those years that do not benefit from medication. If one med does not work for you then you try another until you find the combo that controls your symptoms enough to let you get on with your life, that is the whole point .I now work in the field trying to help others

  • @sboyer38 I wish you well. I feel a lot of people think they are being helped but from what I have experienced personally and what I have read with untainted glasses there are many more than 2 people who have been hurt by unnecessary prescribing and over prescribing. The very essence of these drugs is to narcotize people into a numb state. That is not really helping you. How can you live a fulfilling life being doped? Go in Peace and good luck to you.

  • I started drinking during the day while taking celexia. Im going back to the doctor and giving back thier insanity pills.

  • @yfm4450 Good for you! Good luck. Try non-harmful therapies. We can all eat organic, drink water, take good vitamins, get sunshine, make friends, go for a walk, all can help.

  • I have fantasies of grabbing my guns and hunting down everyone that fucked my life over...The doctor prescribed Celexa to me after Ive been having these fantasies. I have not taken the medication because I am afraid I might lose my self control if I take the drug. What the fuck do I do?

  • @fuckcomments Get a good naturopathic doctor.

  • Some posters claim they cant quit because they experience sleepless ness headaches and other synptoms when they try quitting . Sleeplessness , headaches and other symptoms are withdrawal symptoms, not proof that these drugs work . The drugs cause sleep disturbances . If you are off these drugs for several months , you will feel better than when you took them . If you had never take these poisons , you would have been better off .

  • @8888Connie

So when I went through withdrawel symptoms when I went off of IV Morphine after a bad auto accident that means that the Morphine didn't work? I was just imagining that it took away the horrific pysical pain that I was in?

The problem with SSRI's is that they are overprescribed, not that they don't work. Original projection for the analogue was that it would only help > 10 percent of those suffering SEVERE depression, usually in conjunction to other mental disorders.

  • prozacs the one that causes people to go crazy the most out of every antidepressent if im not mistaken i used to take it

  • I'm taking Celexa and I've been on it for 6 weeks. After my first 2 weeks, I noticed a huge difference, but it only effected me for 2 days, after that, I still suffer anxiety to this day. I'm only taking them on a daily basis now to see if anything happens, and so far nothing.

Honestly, all this Zoloft, Celexa, Ativan etc. just seems to me as if I'm living a life parallell to the movie "Flowers for Algernon". The only thing I notice about the whole thing now is that my memory is going.

  • i had a violent outbreak while taking antidepressents, i almost killed myself.

  • watch

Psychiatry - Making a Killing with Dr. Rima Laibow & G. Edward Griffen By CCHR

  • The drug itself does not cause violence but a doctor forcing you to take the medications by verbal persuasion - i.e. you have a choice, take the meds or be committed to hospital.

Being forced to take something will cause untold anger and, aggresiveness.

In my case, hitting the wall beside the head of the doctor or staff. I don't have it in my to hit a person.

  • No, you cannot definitively say they cause violence because you are misinterpreting a correlation for a causation. In addition this logical fallacy, you confuse a necessary for a sufficient condition. Antidepressants are not sufficient to justify violence as there could very well be an outside element. Further, you do not know the sequence of events. Was the person violent before they went on antidepressants and they were not effective? Think next time.

  • @soxfan3688

Hey "soxfan", stick to analysing sports . Studies show that people on antidepressants experience agitation and extreme hostility , often out of proportion to any events in the person's life .Even if someone had violent tendencies before antidepressants , they will be much angrier and more out of control on them .

  • My doctor tried many different medications to try to help me with my anxiety and depression. She thinks I may be treatment resistant. Wellbutrin made me angry all the time and my wife was on the verge of throwing me out of the house by the time my follow up appointment came around. I would be angry for no reason and would physically shake because of that anger.

  • i am 50 n i take 50mg of luvox 4 my ocd,

but if i am driving the next day i do not take 4 it causes some disorietation.

  • Just type in "murders caused by Prozac" . Basically. all the info u need. Nearly every "insane" crime of the last 15 years can be linked to SSRI's. NOT a coincidence. Reminds me of Thalidomide, doctors said it was safe also.

Accurate video here, and important post. Thanx 5 Stars.

  • Comment removed

  • @inkey2 Thats pretty scary. The results of this drug are self evident simply by typing in murders caused by Prozac. While it may help many people, it's quite obivious that it also hurts many people. These doctors have little understanding of what these drugs will do in all cases, and they don't care, it's about the money. Last month I went to the abandoned Weston State Hospital, they did lobotomies there in the 1950's, some of the ice picks are still there.

  • @clintonearlwalker Agreed!

  • the mainstream media also uses these school shootings, weather school or else where, to help push for gun banning laws. its called order out of chaos. they are supplying the suicide pills to promote violence in otherwise good ppl full well knowing. so they can turn and say we are all bad ppl capable of this psycho activity to further take our rites, and u know how bad they want us to be a disarmed nation, to further dismantle what we have left.

  • keep in mind here that if you go to a shrink and spill your guts for any one reason or another, and that shrink prescribes you pills/in most cases antidepressants/ lets say your a veteran and you go in for post dramatic war syndrome, you are now instantly labeled mentally unstable. just something to keep in mind when watching the main stream media when they report on shootings and things.u see the media is making a kiling no pun intended off big pharma, notice the frequent advertising for pills

  • Dragonkeeper- If you use these pills you will be unstable , lose self control

  • on the main stream media. its trully not hard to make a conection here. NWO 4 life, Suicide pills Rock!! welcome to THX 1138, our brave new world will be run by a scientific dictator ship, and Dr. Cocktail's maken the best psychotrophic drugs he can cook up for them little kiddies, yes he wants them to tast the rain bow, and soon i mean real soon there gonna be able to feed it to them in our public schools with out your permission..

  • You need to be on Risperidone.

  • paxil made me nothing but happy....i was on it for 2 years and i love it.

  • What drug company do you work for?

  • If you are on an SSRI AND Cymbalta, you are on TWO SSRI drugs. Cymbalta is an SSRI drug. The only thing that you can do is wean yourself off of them VERY SLOWLY. Be careful. It is very dangerous to get off of these drugs. It is also dangerous to get on them.

  • @th1onein Agreed!

  • I total agree with this video. Kids should not take these pills. Look at the history of shooting sprees. They are up about 90%.

What's changed you ask? Well 50 years ago people didn't give their kids a daily dose of mind altering drugs. I can't believe people don't see the connection, it's black and white. They just wanna argue and say theirs no proof. Parents have a few argument's with their kids, take them to a psychiatrist for a 10 min visit and then pump them full of death. Naive!!!!

  • @ffcloud321 Agreed!

  • Sugar busters is a good book that discribes how dangerous sugar is.

  • Dr. can you talk about bipolar mood disorder? I like the way u talk, very therapeutic.....pls

  • if you want to beat depression get off the number one cause, sugar.

  • Yes. Sugar apparently makes you depressed. Sugar really is the #1 cause for depression. You know what the cause is? Look around the world. The economy, idiots, possible disease, syndrome, disorder, cripple, it could be anything. And you think it's sugar? Wow.

  • Someone mentioned Charles Whitman , the sniper at the U of Texas ,as proof that shootings occurred before antidepressants were in widespread use . Whitman had a brain tumor affecting the part of his brain involved in impulse control and antiidepressants afect this area so his case is similar rather than distinguishable in that the cause was brain damage not psychological problems.

  • Trials of antidepressants are not really double blind because the drugs cause major physiological changes such as irregular heart beat , intestinal disturbances , extreme bad breath , restlessness.

Long term use of any psych drug kills brain cells and exacerbates psych problems. If they tested cigarettes for a few wks, they wouldnt cause cancer and the worst effects of psych drugs take months or yrs to appear.

  • In trials of antidepressants some researchers consider the drug a success if people gain weight and others if they lose and some drugs are approved for causing people to sleep more and others if they reduce sleep . The drug companies will contrive any excuse to get poison in your synapses to make money.

  • I used AD for < 1yr and have tardive dyskinesia , frigidity , severe pain and stiffness , increased depression.

AD dont really pass double blind studies as discussed in books by Peter BregginMD and Dr Tim Scot. Researchers rated whether subjects felt less depressed , the subjects reported being more depressed & even the researchers , paid by big pharma, found tiny efects.Trials are just 6 wks and if you quit early due to bad rxns , you're not counted.

  • So many side effects, some of which make those who take antidepressants even more depressed. Does the benefit of taking them still outweigh the cost? Clearly, that's questionable.

  • Find good people to talk to. NOT A SHRINK!!! psychologists just want to exploit your depression to fill their stinking pockets. Talk to your friends and family! If you have no friends, make some! it isn't that hard! One good person who cares about you will do more good than all the pills in the world.

  • here's a solution for you...start examining your life and figure out what is wrong. Depression is your minds natural way of telling you that something is wrong in your life and you must take immediate action to change it!

  • shit, i'm on wellbutrin....gonna go off though, has not done alot for my depresseion since it doesn't make my hubby stfu and listen, my toddler any easier to take care of, get rid of -40 winter temps, +40 summer temps....pretty much all the shit making me depressed in the first place!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the information...so if antidepressants are not the solution what is it?

  • To start do not consider psychiatry an option. There is no lab test to validate depression as an illness. It's a nefarious fraud. Human suffering is yet real. How you behave, good or bad, is not a desease. That is not what deseases are. Seek the real whys of your depressions. It might be a bad relation , the economy, the lost of a love one. So many posibilities. Just be surrounded with the right people, to begin with. Do something you really like. Keep away from people who kill your dreams.

  • Healthy diet, exercise, a positive attitude, aims & drive & try to avoid any chemicals/drugs, it works every time.. with loads of good effects & no adverse side effects, except one, when you really get it on, you might attract a lot of jealousy and all that goes with that, (you make 'others' depressed.. he he).

Drugs = damage, the 'I' in SSRI = Inhibit, a drug industry term for chemically damages (like bleach, acid, VOCs do) & they cause damage all round the body.

  • i will try that!....thank you!

  • kill those motherfuckers who make and prescribe this poison. im a victim myself. my life went totally downwards after taking this garbage!!! really... or it was a coincidence but i strongly that they made me crazy!

  • @mOOds999 i cant agree with you anymore ive been throught the same shit is it me or im not the only one who feels this way

  • @mOOds999 100% agree i tried them and i hated myself even more for letting these stupid chemicals mess with my delicate brain...WARNING! people antidepressent medicines are not a magical pill and they wont fix your head they might screw you up completely ...good experiences, healthy diet and a fun lifestyle with spiritual practices and happy thinking will let your brain evolve and mature dont put these retarded chemicals i your head by the prescription of an idiotic noob who doesnt understand you

  • @nrgshkl093 the only thing which these stupid pills are good at is preventing your dick from having an erection...

  • @nrgshkl093 what i thought my self recently was that antidepressants make your serotonin expand loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg makin you slow and fearful. the frequency of fear is a long slow wave. so they cause PURE FEAR!

  • @mOOds999 i agree!!...its just sick, these drugs should be banned and our stupid governments should legalize weed xD

  • WTF? Cooked up the ingredients for a mass murder?

  • psychiatrists are criminals they are up there with attorneys, used car salesmen, preachers and child molestors.

  • Your idiot. These drugs are a life saver.

  • "sugarbrownrabbit" : Yeah. You bet. These drugs are "lifesavers" like heroin, cocaine, meth, etc. You need to look at the results and facts rather than what the sales and marketing departments distribute from the pharmaceutical companies. Belief in witches, alchemy, etc. were once wide-spread and very mainstream. Does any serious, sane person believe and advocate such nonsense nowadays?

  • They saved my life, before them I felt depress and angry all the time. I used to cut myself, and because I was piss at myself and the world. But since the pills my life change for the better. W/out the drugs, I would be a another loser, that would have commited sucide. If want to argue any futher e-mail me. These pills really help, without I don't know I'll do.

  • why were you pissed at the world?

  • LUVOX = BAD DROG

  • This is sort of pissing me off. I was prescribed Celexa to take care of some of the problems that are listed as side effects. What the hell is that all about? How stupid. These videos I'm watching about it have me convinced drug companies are truly evil. I don't know what to do though, I'm in bad shape..

  • I was put on Lexapro, I'm glad I took only 1 dose, my doctor saved my life when he told me I didn't need it, GOD BLESS HIM!

  • Finally a Doctor coming forward with the truth about SSRI's!

  • Thank you for being bold and brave....my daughter is a victim of the Byzantine system causing 'the people" to commit the genocide....The drug companies and the politicians who support them are monsters!

  • does anyone know anything about deuloxitine? im on 60 mg a day. please mail me and let me know.

  • Has anyone ever compared the chemicals in Prozac/antidepressants and that old psychedelic drug, Acid?

  • I am in my mid 40's, I had a bout of depression 20 years ago, I was prescribed Prozac, as a teen I experimented with what people call Acid or magic mushrooms,. after three or so week's on Prozac, I found the effect's and side effect's of Prozac were hauntingly similar to Acid/magic mushrooms!

Perhapse the same chemicals are present?... can you imagine the implication's, if they were! ouch!!

  • I was on Prozac for only six month's, which was as far as I'm concern, six month's to long!

  • Both Prozac and LSD effect the serotonin system in the brain.

    They affect it differently though.

Prozac blocks re-uptake of serotonin and leaves it in the space between neurons.

LSD is taken up into the cell through serotonin receptors as if it were serotonin.

Something called "serotonin syndrome" can occur with antidepressants where there is too much of a build up of serotonin. The effects are similar to LSD including hallucinations.

  • @MadeiraIslands

Excuse my french but fuck that... Mushrooms are mind expanding and help people evolve their thinking, antidepressants are mind-crushing and numbing.

The purpose of those two substances you compared serve two COMPLETELY opposite functions. One free's and the other controls the mind.

  • Doctors Serve As Middleman Pushers by Evelyn J. Pringle

  • I was on Zoloft 100mg for at least 5 years. During that time I was so angry all the time. I just put it down to not being depressed (ie expressing anger on outside instead of inside). One day I stopped taking my med's. After a few months I stopped feeling angry and only then realised it was Zoloft that made me feel that way. It was bad, I'd be on public transport and when I got off at my stop I'd be thinking if these people in front of me dont get out of my way I will push them over.

  • so many lives were lost before these warnings were out. You will see more in the days ahead on the past drugs that also had these side effects adverse affects..and it was too later for the families to save their loved one! the clues were all there..but family members did not have ANY INFO TO COMPARE THE ACTIONS OF THE PATIENT. EVEN THE DOCTORS BACK THEN! it is criminal what these drug companies do to sell their drugs. CONCEALED DATA PROVES IT.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE OF MY TRUE STORY I WITNESSED!

  • I am not going to give the name of the drug but I HAVE FACTS..THAT THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT CAUSED MY SISTER'S DEATH! STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFO. ALSO THE LADY TALKING IN THIS VIDEO SHOULD DO THE 20 YEARS BEFORE THE LAST 20 YEARS! YOU WILL BE SHOCKED. HEAR MY STORY!!!

  • I'll bet many of the people who get violent are people who are on doses higher than they need and then suddenly stop. If I forget to take mine, I'm kicking inanimate objects and cussing alot, and I'm normally one of the sweetest people you'll ever want to meet. Also, I narrowly escaped somebody I thought was my friend until he turned on me after having drank on prozac. He had no intention of quitting the brain games he played on himself, so I stayed the #$@* away from him after that!

  • I've experienced a lot of these side effects. But what can you do? I've been on SSRI's and Cymbalta for years. If I stop for a couple days I can't sleep, I can't stand being around people, I feel awful. So I've been on antidepressants of one sort or another for over 30 years; talk therapy is fine, but it's not enough.

  • "If I stop for a couple days I can't sleep, I can't stand being around people, I feel awful."

Those are withdrawal or "discontinuation syndrome" as industry likes to call it.

After 30 years your body is addicted to them and can't function correctly without them.

  • so youre ruining the reputation of psychiatrist a job ill be taking your ruining my future

  • @audadvnc

You're right talk therapy is not enough at all... The solution is higher quality food. Period.

  • You posted this 2 years ago. Don't know if you ever read this but do some googling and you will find there are medical professionals out there that will help you get off these SSRI's. They are not as prevalent as the Western MDs trained and sponsored by the big pharma companies. Good luck on your journey. Try naturopathic and homeopathic, make sure your electrolytes and enzymes are in balance. Get sunshine therapy, vitamins, etc.....not a simple quick fix as one bad pill.

  • @Glamrma "not a simple quick fix as one bad pill." - Wow, someone who thinks anti-depressants are a quick working drug telling me to do "some research." A quick fix? While your body adjusts to the medication, which can take months, you get ill and tired and experience mood swings, and you're going around lying to people implying pills are a "quick fix"? It certainly seems you don't even know the first most basic fundamental thing about the mechanics of these drugs.

  • Please go to Yahoo and type in "Horrible Truth About Psychiatric Drugs" to see a research paper exposing these drugs. Also so the search "Documented Proof Psychiatric Drugs Shorten Lifespan". Be sure to include the quotes. You will learn information no psychiatrist will tell you. These drugs destroy fertility and libido and cause impotence and extream disphoria and obesity. The promote suicide and violence not prevent it.

  • When I was 14 I was put on antidepressants and I was thinking about homicide a lot, revenge and just started feeling morbid, I took myself of them and it was after that the homicidal thoughts vanished. It was very out of character for me to think about being violent so am very concerned thinking back on it.

  • Comment removed

  • I have been on a lot of drugs over my lifetime....and Prozac made me very agressive.....and wanting to pick fights and arguments....and that was on a low dose. I eventually went off it.

  • Imagine being on an anti psych drug and not being able to write-a symptom of Parkinsons. I mention it to my p-doc and he gives me an additional drug for the side effects. My stomach became so bad I couldn't drink anything & I couldn't walk right. The medicine was killing me so I stopped & went into a delusion for 3 months. When you stop abruptly BAD things happen. 40 days of paranoia & euphoria followed by 40 nights of paranoia & death but at least now I'm prescription & delusion free.
  • Excellent presentation. In fact this video is devastating because it talks about the elephant sitting in the middle of a room full of blindfolded psychiatrists. In fact they aren't even blindfolded because they've known this for years. Just so happens that many of these drugs have patient expiration dates coming up, I wonder if thats the reason why questions are finally being asked? The remedy? Put out a more expensive version or combine 2 drugs and give it a different name. No problem.
  • Not patient, thats what you used to be, it's patent expiration dummy. How is it that all

the info in this video is just coming out

now that the PATENTS are expiring. There

were many p-docs who knew about this stuff

but only a few had the guts to speak out.

They were older guys, for the most part,

who could afford to be ostracized...

    and they were.

  • Just cleanse your colon. I used Paranix and its been 12 years with NO FLU, NO ALLERGIES, NO RUNS, NO NOTHING. I trust NO DOCTOR. Cleanse your systems and you'll be great. Even your salvia will taste CLEAN!

  • I am female, was put on meds at 15 (pre-Columbine) and was transformed me into a maniac. I was paranoid, belligerent, obsessed with violence and had homicidal fantasies. I drew pics of bloody knives/bodies all over my books, wrote violent things in class, raged at teachers, and eventually threatened to stab a girl for giggling at me. The school did a lot of nothing but luckily I was pulled off all meds before anything awful occured. I am now 27, med-free, and would NEVER take that poison again!

  • check this video out: No Science - No Cure

  • The Dr.s tried treating my Fibromyala with these stupid pills, Paxil made me Numb, Antitripoline I was a Zombie, on Zoloft I was about to rip off my own mothers head!! I now refuse to put any of these psyco drugs in my system!! Damn Nazi Heads!! CSD child pill pushers!! Im in oregon with the Nazi schools!! Its really easy to get meds here!!

  • consider that fibromyalgia has been linked to consumption of aspertaime (AKA Nutrisweet and other names). This chemical is often embedded in foods that are unexpected. Detoxing body from this has been reported to eliminate the fibromyalgia.

  • There is enough evidence now to ban these drugs. When LSD first came out the psychiatrist were praising it. Now it is an illegal drug like many other psych created drugs. The only thing keeping this industry alive is the gross amount of profit they make. This money made at the expense of others lives. No different than any other drug dealers.

  • If you look at all the cases of violent behavior of infamous cases (Virginia Tech; Columbine etc.) where medication is said to been an influence (by those anti-psych med people that I can only agree with)the individual had the cognitive distortion in their thinking a self-trained perception that violence was the only option...

  • like the guy that shot up the mall and said he just lost his girlfriend and his Mcdonalds job; there is more than one girl out there and more than one place to get a job...but these individuals with the idea that things are hopeless (to be continued)

  • I have a friend who's 12 year old daughter hung herself after a bad reaction to Zoloft.

She hallucinated, heard voices urging her to kill her family, saw blood coming out of the walls, freaked out and hung herself.

She had no history of psychosis and was only taking the medication for "social anxiety".

We just had another mass shooting today where a 19 year old took an AK into a shopping mall. He was also on antidepressants.

  • Sorry to hear that! That would be the case of the medication making things wrose.

  • Are we that concerned with the opinon of others? How many of these "gotta go out with a bang" persons want to die and want others to know they died? Cognitive distortions are errors in thinking that can be corrected by simply thinking the opposite...Everyone hates can be Not everyone knows me, so who cares if they like me or not.

  • The common feature of these shooters is "negative" thinking or belief system about the world around them...(this is cognitive not chemical)...the mental disturbances discussed in this video, however with this "negative" thinking are potentially dangerous

  • These reactions are like playing Russian roulette, becos it does different things to different people and its too randomn

  • Well I'm a big CBT fan. But if you have ever done a drug which produces an altered state of mind, you will see that mind altering drugs can have a profound effects on cognition and contribute to "cognitive distortions".

The drug makers and the FDA acknowledge that in a certain percentage of the population, antidepressants drugs can cause both suicidality and homicidality.

Yea the drugs don't pull the triggers but people can have bad reactions which make them worse.

  • I thought I was inside my mouth, My friend slapped me in the side of the head becos I was screaming for help (It looked real)...he told me to follow his voice and to remember we were frying

  • I prefer no substances...not even those I used to think we fun...

  • If I had audio to go with my video I could explain those two former roles: 1. Violent thinker 2. Chemical scrambling and 3. How I believe the two interact

  • Well there's certainly a cause. People didn't do these mass murders 50 years ago. It is only recent. funnily enough it has conincided witht eh increase in medications. The fact that the warning labels also state that these drugs can cause violence and suicide also seems to add some credence to the concept.

  • "Well there's certainly a cause. People didn't do these mass murders 50 years ago"

Yeah, they did do these things 50 years ago. Never heard of charles wittman? Charles starkweather? Albert fish? Were they on SSRI'S?

  • See how many school shooting you can find prior to 1985. Then see how many you can find after 1985.

I actually did that research at one point. I think you will find it interesting.

  • Charles wittman was at a university.

  • See how many school shooting you can find prior to 1985. Then see how many you can find after 1985.

  • I doubt if medication causes violence by itself; It is more likely the case that the medication either did not help or just made things worse...

  • I think she did a pretty good job in this video describing an anesthesia reaction.

Just like someone can have a "bad trip" on LSD, so too can someone have a bad reaction to an antidepressants.

Try search the internet for "serotonin syndrome". It's a real medical disease.

LSD and antidepressants both work on the serotonin system in the brain.

  • I think it's "akathisia," not anesthesia. :-)

  • Yep, Freaking auto spelling correct got me.

  • Was put on Paxil for situational anxiety/depression. No history of violence or suicidal ideation. Not until I was told to quit the Paxil and dear God... None of the doctors knew anything about withdrawal.

  • Me, too, Queen. The akathesia, extreme anxiety, and depression, insomnia, started 7 months off Paxil. Never had these problems before. And there's not enough room here to list a host of other serious problems from this drug. Doing better, but still in pretty bad shape at 19 months off.

  • When the Doctor's were pushing anti depressants down my throught for treating my fybromyalga, I suffered with some major Anger probs, sleeping probs, and I could have ripped your face off and not give a piss for you. Research Nazi's In your schools rules, it'll answer alot of these questions!! peace!

  • Why are doctors not required, by LAW, to inform patients of these dangerous side-effects? Is it because the pharmaceutical companies are bribing the lawmakers? I stopped taking doctor-issued pills many years ago and I feel way better off them than on them. It's a scam! A lie! Please do not trust doctors just because they are doctors. They are people first. Thanks for posting this video and getting the truth out there.

  • man Im on prozac and it makes me speak my mind way too much when its not appropriate. Being depressed sucks... there is no end to it.... maybe if people didn't suck so bad others would not be depressed. I think the majority of depressed people are very intellectual individuals like myself, but have realized how shitty the world and people are and that there is nothing we can do about it. Sucks...

  • i'm a nurse i will tell you what fluoride is doing to me and the people i medicated watch my video and visit my blog

    watch?v=oX8ppB-wKEQ

    peace

    olivia

  • Psyche drugs do not help. When is America going to figure that shit out?

  • The patients take anti-depressant drugs for only one purposes-feel normal.

BUT, it causes much more "SAD Effects" which including death of patient and others.

  • I just started taking anti-depressants after letting it out that I was contemplating suicide (even though I wasn't as depressed as I have been in the past) for the past few months. Are anti-depressants that bad? I must say, I'm alarmed by much of what's been said in these videos . . . will they turn me into a homocidal maniac without me knowing it? WTF?

  • Some side effects are very common; others only happen to a small percent of people. It's important that you know what they are so if you start to experience them you can contract you doctor immediately. It's also a good idea to know what the risk and benefits of a medication before you start taking it. This is known as informed consent.

  • i dont agree that antidepressants make u violent but there is one thing i agree is that u could still get depressed even if ur taking antidepressants, only a minority of people who take antidepressants have no depression at all, the majority still get depressed, but less than b4, and im talking from experience

  • Well fair enough, you can disagree but the FDA and the drug makers agree that they can contribute to violence. It says so right in the package insert. Of course the majority of people don't have that adverse reaction but it only take one person w/ a gun to ruin the day for a whole lot of people.

  • Exactly. Statistically, it could extremely rare, like one in a million or something. But that is all it takes to get a columbine or VA Tech. I heard the VT madman was on anti-depressants.

  • I am currently on the antidepressant cytolapram, but i'm slowly cutting it down at the moment. When I came off it fully I got really angry, and I smashed a plate on my brother's head. (He is a dick though).

  • According to Dr. Irving Kirsch in Prevention & Treatment "there is now unanimous agreement that the mean difference between response to SSRI antidepressant drugs and response to inert placebo is very small. It is so small that, despite sample sizes involving hundreds of participants, 57% of the SSRI trials funded by the pharmaceutical industry failed to show a significant difference between drug and placebo.

  • So she won't research any deeper then what they say? That's crap. They don't even put everything on the label that is wrong with these drugs. You can get more info by really opening your research up. Wait till you learn that these drugs change the structure of the brain. They have perminant effects. They go out of the way to keep everything they can off of those labels.

  • That is true. They do try their best to avoid putting anything incriminating on the labels. When they do add stuff, they are generally attempting to minimize their product liability. Rx labels even vary from country to country. The FDA may force a company to include a warning but they won't include it in other countries since the FDA only governs the USA.

  • Well, some of the more complex stuff isn't even looked at by the FDA. Much less put on the labels. There is lots of stuff not one labels anywhere. My understanding is actually that our FDA is less strict then a great many places.

  • um, our FDA sets the standard for Canada, EU, UK, Australia and Japan to some degree. Mostly because most research is actually done in the USA. However, many countries are more conservative than the US. As an example; all SSRI antidepressants except Prozac are all but banned in the UK and EU for children and teen. In the US we hand them out like candy.

  • Maybe antidepressants can prevent violence as well. You will need to come up with some statistical significant scientific evidence to prove your point

  • Well despite the fact that the drug labels list violence as adverse event (meaning drug companies admit the drugs can cause violence). I added a link to SSRIStories in the description. I have more data on this and will add more link later.

  • Thanks for the detailed information.

  • Yeah, I pretty much had all those symptoms.

    I felt absoloutly horrible.

I was really weird, and I felt so fucked up. I also would get really violent sometimes. And the one thing that bothered me most was that I was always a somewhat artistic experessive person, but all the anti depessants completely took that away.
