I don't get it , being a Christian dosen't mean your a slave , you do good things when you want IF YOU WANT , theres nothing there to force you to ,but all the "good acts" we do , it makes us feel better about ourselves and feel good about helping someone that could have been ignored. You decide whether or not you want God in your life and if you don't, you go to Hell, and you're separated from God. It's not what God WANTS but, he's letting YOU CHOOSE whether or not you want him. If you do, you go to Heaven and you get to be with him forever just like you wanted, if you don't you go to Hell and you'll never hear from him again. It is YOUR choice.
@kellyflute Its not a choice what you believe. If its our choice to hear from God, then why do millions of people try to communicate with God every night and get no response? Because the fact is that he isn't there. Its wishful thinking. And nobody would choose hell. If anyone had a choice to go to hell or to not go to hell, all other things being equal, they would choose not to go to hell. The idea is that God says that you are going to hell whether you want to or not if you don't praise.
@gtg309v I never said you choose Hell itself. You choose God. If you want God you can have him. If you don't you go where he isn't: Hell. You're right when you say that no one would choose Hell. But if they don't choose God, Hell is the only thing apart from God, so that's your other option by default if you don't choose God.
@kellyflute Like I said, there are millions of people who wanted to choose God but when they tried praying to God they were left with no response. Over and over they tried, faithfully praying, looking for God, but there was nothing. Millions of people have tried to choose God before. Many ex-christians too, who never got an answer from God and so they were left with no choice but to accept that God isn't there for them. So, they accepted reality and moved on with their lives.
God isn't some genie that does what we want when we want. And how do you know if NONE of those people got answers? And not every question needs an answer. For example, would it benefit you in any way to know how many Galaxies exist? It might satisfy your curiosity, but is that information really useful to have? And also, God might not answer in the way you want. God speaks in languages we can't all understand. I'm still learning it. One is called "coincidence".
@gtg309v (comment part 2) Not ALL coincidence is God speaking, but when something coincidental happens just think "Could this mean something?" And when I do that I get a lot of prayers answered! That does NOT mean ALL or MOST of my prayers, but a lot of them. Once you learn how to listen to God you realize how MUCH God really DOES answer us.
@kellyflute There's nothing supernatural about coincidences. Its ridiculous to ignore when your prayers aren't answered and then point out a coincidence of one of your prayers being answered and claiming that it was God. Those are just ordinary odds. Sometimes you will get what you want, and sometimes you won't. That's life. Thats like if I were to roll dice and pray to get a 7, and then ignore whenever I don't get 7 but then when I do get 7 I say God answered my prayer. That's not an answer.
@Darusdei If you want God you can have Him and go to Heaven, Where God is. If you don't want God you go to Hell, where God isn't. He wants all of us, but he doesn't force himself on us, so he lets us choose. You can't force love.
@Darusdei How is God hurting you when you're SEPARATED from Him? All hurt and pain comes from what is NOT of God. So Hell is the most painful thing there is. He leaves you alone like you wanted and you experience the hurt from the separation. You aren't completely separated from God right now, but you aren't fully WITH God either, so you experience SOME pain off and on. But once this life is over and you've made your decision, it's either all pain or all gain.

Because you can know a million ways to NOT do something, but there are few and sometimes only 1 way to do something right. @Darusdei YOU CHOOSE whether you want to be with God or not. You choose to follow God or the Devil, its one or the other, no in between, if you follow God, you end up where he is. If you follow Satan, you end up where he is.Hell is total separation from God. When you are separated from God, you feel everything that is evil, because all good, which is God, is gone. Like how there is no darkness, just the absence of light. If you want to be separated from him, he gives it to you.

Hell is not just a punishment, which is how many people view it.
People who reject God and don't want to be with Him in Heaven are getting exactly what they desire. They choose an eternity without God. And for God to force that person to be with Him in Heaven would not give the person a choice to choose Him or not. We WOULD be slaves if we didn't have that choice
God loves us so immensely and He want us to love Him too, but if we don't, He won't force us. Take it or leave it. It's up to you.

No, actually, it's a thing called remorse and wanting to be cleaned of your sins and never again allowing yourself to be dirtied by the sins you have already committed. It's called repentance. You don't have to be religious to repent, it's simply feeling remorse for the sins you've committed and doing what you can to never commit them again, basically cleaning your conscience for yourself. Christianity only has 10 laws of which it must follow - the rest is advice which we choose to take or not to take. you have the quaran, which added another testament onto the bible. After the end of the bible, it said that it is the end of the bible - if anyone adds anything on, they will be punished. your quaran added a new testament, and changed the name to avoid punishment. Your quaran also changed 'lord jesus' to 'lord mahhamed'.

You see, if I was god, I would not have required any 'death' or crucifixion in order to save the rest of humanity from their sins. If I was god, I would have said "Humans must ensure that Jesus lives a long and peaceful life, and ONLY THEN, will humans be saved from sin". I wouldn't require murder.
@Martano666 see, Jesus went to hell for 3 days to defeat the devil. That is why he died, so he could go to hell, and thats why all sins were placed upon him, so that he'd be put in hell because of so many sins of sex, drug use, and other wrongdoings. this meant that now, god wouldn't care about sin, and would accept all as long as they accepted Jesus as their saviour, and let him into their lives.

So he could have said "Ensure Jesus lives a long natural peaceful life, and that will allow people to be forgiven for their sins, rather than "JESUS MUST BE KILLED ON A CROSS BRUTALLY in order to save people from their sin". God decides how the story went. That makes god pretty sickening and 'blood-lusting'.
@Martano666 jesus was the example for all of us- he healed others. He helped so many, but didn't bother to help himself alone. And after he helped people, he didn't expect others to help him back. At the end, he was fighting for OUR lives. He sacrifised himself on the cross not because god forced him to, but because Jesus wanted for us to have a personal relationship with god, after the devil would be defeated.

If your god created EVERYTHING.....then that means he designed how everything works. The entire IDEA of Jesus coming down to earth for the sole 'purpose' of saving people from sins by being brutally crucified on a cross is sickening. It didn't have to be this way. The bible proves the water cycle in GENESIS which dates back before Egyptian times, also the bible proves that there is more water than there is land, that was only discovered later on.

Hell isn't just a place for evil people, it's what you want, in a way..
You decide whether or not you want God in your life and if you don't, you go to Hell, and you're separated from God. It's not what God WANTS but, he's letting YOU CHOOSE whether or not you want him. If you do, you go to Heaven and you get to be with him forever just like you wanted, if you don't you go to Hell and you'll never hear from him again. It is YOUR choice.

But if they don't choose God, Hell is the only thing apart from God, so that's your other option by default if you don't choose God.

Over and over they tried, faithfully praying, looking for God, but there was nothing. Millions of people have tried to choose God before. Many ex-christians too, who never got an answer from God and so they were left with no choice but to accept that God isn't there for them. So, they accepted reality and moved on with their lives.

For example, would it benefit you in any way to know how many Galaxies exist? It might satisfy your curiosity, but is that information really useful to have? And also, God might not answer in the way you want. God speaks in languages we can't all understand. I'm still learning it. One is called "coincidence".

Its ridiculous to ignore when your prayers aren't answered and then point out a coincidence of one of your prayers being answered and claiming that it was God. Those are just ordinary odds. Sometimes you will get what you want, and sometimes you won't. That's life. Thats like if I were to roll dice and pray to get a 7, and then ignore whenever I don't get 7 but then when I do get 7 I say God answered my prayer. That's not an answer.

@Darusdei How is God hurting you when you're SEPARATED from Him? All hurt and pain comes from what is NOT of God. So Hell is the most painful thing there is. He leaves you alone like you wanted and you experience the hurt from the separation. You aren't completely separated from God right now, but you aren't fully WITH God either, so you experience SOME pain off and on. But once this life is over and you've made your decision, it's either all pain or all gain.

God is absolute, understanding the concept of any god would help you understand that being a creator makes god in every way right....rules of science have you. 2+2 will always be 4, if god is the creator everything he says must be the same...you cant deny the rules of science any more that you cant deny gods rule of the universe no matter how absurd it sounds to you. So in the event you cant open your preschool eyes and see that 2+2=4 you might be held back several years.

Hell is not just a punishment, which is how many people view it.
People who reject God and don't want to be with Him in Heaven are getting exactly what they desire. They choose an eternity without God. And for God to force that person to be with Him in Heaven would not give the person a choice to choose Him or not. We WOULD be slaves if we didn't have that choice
God loves us so immensely and He want us to love Him too, but if we don't, He won't force us. Take it or leave it. It's up to you.

He does not punish us on earth. He would only punish believers of satan (666) and make a judgement when we die if we are to go to heaven or hell.

Islam and Cristian is almost the same.
We both have the same Ways, we both have the same book and we believe in the same god.
The only difference is, for cristian lord Jesus the most important Prophet.
And we believe in Lord Mohammed as our most Important Prophet.
Storys arent different, whenever you are Islamic or Cristian.
You believe in what you believe.and it doesnt really make difference.
We are normaly the Same, only with Culture difference and names.

@Dracylium im sorry, but our laws are completely different. Christianity only has 10 laws of which it must follow - the rest is advice which we choose to take or not to take. you have the quaran, which added another testament onto the bible. After the end of the bible, it said that it is the end of the bible - if anyone adds anything on, they will be punished. your quaran added a new testament, and changed the name to avoid punishment. Your quaran also changed 'lord jesus' to 'lord mahhamed'.

@1900maniac thats because in the bible it says that 'all men will hate you because of me' which also applies to jews, because their torah is our first testament.
This proves the bible right, because look at hitler who hated Jews, look at the Black Death - which was blamed on the Jews. Muslims hate Jews too, and even some christians seem to hate Jews. and Atheists hate Christians.

Oh yeah, god is quite merciful. All you have to do is 'believe' he is real, and agree to be his slave for eternity, and you will receive his mercy. You see, if I was god, I would not have required any 'death' or crucifixion in order to save the rest of humanity from their sins. If I was god, I would have said "Humans must ensure that Jesus lives a long and peaceful life, and ONLY THEN, will humans be saved from sin". I wouldn't require murder.

@Martano666 see, Jesus went to hell for 3 days to defeat the devil. That is why he died, so he could go to hell, and thats why all sins were placed upon him, so that he'd be put in hell because of so many sins of sex, drug use, and other wrongdoings. this meant that now, god wouldn't care about sin, and would accept all as long as they accepted Jesus as their saviour, and let him into their lives.

@Passionofawriter Well I realize 'why'. But that is not what I meant. God is the boss right? He makes the rules right? So he could have said "Ensure Jesus lives a long natural peaceful life, and that will allow people to be forgiven for their sins, rather than "JESUS MUST BE KILLED ON A CROSS BRUTALLY in order to save people from their sin". God decides how the story went. That makes god pretty sickening and 'blood-lusting'.

@Martano666 jesus was the example for all of us- he healed others. He helped so many, but didn't bother to help himself alone. And after he helped people, he didn't expect others to help him back. At the end, he was fighting for OUR lives. He sacrifised himself on the cross not because god forced him to, but because Jesus wanted for us to have a personal relationship with god, after the devil would be defeated.
we're here to fight and be a light in the darkness. not live in peace- that's heaven.

If your god created EVERYTHING.....then that means he designed how everything works. That includes things like: -Animals that are made to 'rip apart' other animals while they are still alive in order to get food. All carnivores are forced to do this. That is sick. Animals DO feel pain you know. They have all the same pain sensors as us.

@Passionofawriter Also, as I mentioned earlier, god required blood sacrifices. That is sickening. It's written in the old testament. On many occasions, goats and even humans were murdered to please god because instructions to do so is written in the old testament. Also, Jesus dying for other people's sins is evil. I don't care if jesus wanted to die to save us or whatever spin you want to put on it. THe bottom line is, if I created a universe, there would not be any babies being murdered.

Thats why it says 'the one who never sinned became a sinner' meaning JESUS! people whipped him because it was THEIR WILL! god gives us free will. The entire IDEA of Jesus coming down to earth for the sole 'purpose' of saving people from sins by being brutally crucified on a cross is sickening. It didn't have to be this way. There doesn't HAVE to be bloodshed in order to save people from sin. Only in THIS world does this stuff have to happen. I assure you, if I were god, I could have created a peaceful universe without the bloodshed. Meat would grow on trees.

All of this stuff I have said is from the hypothetical position that Christian is true.I personally don't believe Christianity, or any other religion for that matter. Some religions have evil beliefs like Islam and Christianity, some religions are entirely peaceful belief systems. But, that doesn't make any of them more or less true from my position. That is just how I see things. So, will I go to the christian hell because of my beliefs? You decide.

@atheistnarutofan the bible claims that the earth is round (may i remind you it is before the time of the man who actually discovered that) it was just proven that swearing harms the body, it says that in the bible. The bible proves the water cycle in GENESIS which dates back before Egyptian times, also the bible proves that there is more water than there is land, that was only discovered later on.
Job 26:7 says that the earth hangs on nothing(space)
but the bible disproves evolution & big bang

*facepalm* the bible says the first rain was the during the flood. as for saying that there is more water than land, i've never seen that, but it does say there is water above the sky. "So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse 'sky.'"
it also says that light existed before the sun and the stars.
the bible is NOT a science book.

@atheistnarutofan the bible says that 'god made the waters gather into one place for land to appear' somewhere in genesis - that's in Genesis 10, and before that it says 'gods spirit moved upon the face of the WATERS. light did exist before the sun - there's not just one star in the galaxy, there might have been a dying star at the time.

you probably aren't as intelectually honest to do that, though. when you learn more, argue, but until then, you shouldn't try to use it as a reason to believe.
