It makes no sense at all to refer to the Big Game to find out if someone is a good player or not. I have so many wild loose friends in live games. They look as if they are good players but I destroy all of them online with a tighter strategy

The level of poker in live games is a lot lower compared to the same stakes online.

I think part of what helped dario make this move was the fact that hansen's play style is generally loose, and so dario probably put him on a hand that would be behind his ace nine, perhaps something like king ten suited.

Still a bad move in my opinion; he shoved for 220 total to pick up hansons 35 that means he has to put hansen on a hand other than AA KK or possibly even QQ depending on whether hanson would lay down qq 6/7 times in that situation. Sure it worked this time but I got to believe that when hanson 3 bets to 35k he has AA or KK at least better than 1/7 times which means poor move by dario.

@Gforcebond Do you know what happened in the previous hand? Do you know who bluffed, who limped and who was winning? Obviously you cannot judge one hand by itself because you don't know the context of the entire session. That being said, Minieri played with "exploitive play", which is doing exactly what you should if you saw your opponent's hole cards. "Optimal play" would be your fundamental player, who only plays premiums. At this level, strategist plays are better than fundamental plays.
