Ditto on Stu's crackalackin snare. It's not uncommon for today's music, but for 80's music it's extremely unusual. Every stupid producer in the 80's insisted that the snare drum should sound like a floor tom with a hint of snares on the bottom of it. I hated it. I was so glad when the 90's got a clue and introduced the piccolo snare to modern pop music. Hence, I crank my snare up so tight it's totally smackalicious!
