what is the connenction port? for example, if my website is called mysite.com, what do i have to add at the and of the ".com" do i have to add a :8080 thingy or something like that?
@Dynose This might mean your Domain name is not pointing to the right nameservers or IP's. When adding a Domain under a client in Plesk it checks to see if that domain is pointing to the server if not it usually displays a notice, but will still let you continue adding the domain. So if this is your issue, try logging into your Domain Control panel and adding "Custom Nameservers" or "IP Addresses" of the server you are trying to host the domain with it.
please do more videos on this subject....i need to know how to set my domain name up so it go's directly to index page. right now i can only view my site by going to site preview and and url is too very long so if you could do some thing on this subject it would be greatly appreciated
Not sure if my first comment got posted actually I am not sure it did, still very new to YouTube, anyway I will cover linking a domain name to a server via DNS using the Plesk 9.0 control panel on my next video tutorial today into tomorrow, so yes look out for it.
@Eisenherz2828 I have the new plesk 10.0.1 installed now on unix so if you need videos on this version let me know. Parallels completely changed their UI so some people might be finding it hard to navigate and to find things.
