@TheGoldenVegas yeah! I can defend hq vs 7 ork cpus on normal and then win if I get a baneblade but without baneblade imp. guards are garbage in a fight they arent really good at anything but defence

in the h heresy books, it describes the marines as brilliant and basically indestructible, but on Dow and the tabletop game, they are not as good as that.

Like every other race in the game they all have strengths and weaknesses. Aslong as you cover your weaknesses and use the rite units against the race your fighting then you can win with any race.......... Its just the space marines are alot easier to play with and other races such as the Imperial guard or eldar actually involve skill and if used correctly can deal out heavy damage. By the way Imperial guard FTW!

lol, the space marines are harder than the imperial guard, hell if it wasnt for the space marines the ig would be dead by now, the space marines saved the ig in the horus heresy, even though it was space marines who rebelled and turned chaotic bla bla bla, but still if there was know good space marines there to help the imperial guard would of got owned and the imperium would of been crushed, but the imperial guard are really cool

I've actually read several books where marines, or chaos marines, mabey 20-60, own aqn entire army of guardsmen, I beleive we can assume from this, that marines are better. plus guardsmen need things like pre8ists and commisars to keep claw and religiouse sanctity, to a degree, a marine is his own preist or commisar.and moomoocowgr is right, the space marines do pull the guard out of almost everything.

in fact, in one of the horus heresy books, they mention the standard tactics for a fight, and it went something like this "guardsmen hold the line, marines break theirs". the emporer even favors them more, thats something.plus mosty guardsmen are drafted they don't choose to join, most marine hopefuls choose to, wheter they know it vor not.I have more reasons, but I think I sufficiantly pwned you.

I'm reading commissar can hero of the imperium at the moment but im not sure if that includes any reliable information about the discussion, mostly because it all about a cowardly commissars opinions and how negitive he is. :D

no, you kinda have to infer it, but many of my friends agree, it was what the author most likley meant, and it makes sence, guardsmen are useless in a charge, most of them get mowed dwon befor they get there, but, they have overwhelimg firepower, which makes them exel;ent in a trench or bunker fight. And yes, chaplains serve more as moarl, but sometimes, they do preovide spiritual support,but mostly they are commisars minus the "rule by fear" thing.

I loved it. It was truly amzing. And that means alot, since I'm not easily impressed when it comes to Dawn of War videos. I like how you had the big pile of bodies in the river, and then mor orks came to add to it. One recomendation though, I think you should have a battle between to Imperial Guard Armies. That would be a REAL Imperial Guard battle! I rate this video 5/5

Yes it is. Tbh i think the latest one, soulstorm, was abit of a let down. If you havent got any i recomment just getting soulstorm if your not going to play online. mail me for more XD
