  • Great show..saw it in person but all i gotta say is,,,, I WANT ONE OF THOS DAMN JACKETS lol

  • lol sounds like its a dick in a box at 1:16

  • @ItzBigidy lol because it is. Idk about 07 but the past three years have had that in it lol

  • lol "Cut, cut, eat, eat. Cut, cut, eat, eat. Whooo, boners, Mmm, that's good!"

  • Cut Cut eat CHEW cut cut eat CHEW cut cut eat Boners mmmh thats good

  • The perfect scores in music GE tend to disagree- it's the greatest.

  • soo clean! amazing show!

  • their uniforms look like a better version of the uniforms my high school had in 07... this is an incredible show.

and rofl at the tenors around 4:05

  • MCM is awesome. Rhythm X is awesome. Hanson is awesome.

  • Hanson > X and MCM

  • LOL! 1:30

"you hit a centimeter off the center of the spike again i will cut your ballz off and feed them to me pomeranian!"

    jk

  • Yeah wtf is that all about? haha

  • pretty sweet.

  • easy dude

we all know who's going to throw anyway

  • haha

  • Ok i'm sorry. The percussion teacher at my school told me that mystique was always the best in everything. I just assumed. You don't have to be a jerk about it.

  • what they do "depending on their show"? They wear it every year. It would be great to see some variety from them in show concept. Maybe this year they'll turn it around and do something completely different. That would be nice.

  • my point exactly

does anyone know why they do it anyway?

i mean what part of putting on mascara before a show makes somebody feel cool?

  • MCM only does things like that for certain show ideas/designs. Those kind of elements can really add to a show concept. Other groups like blue knights have done it before too. It all just depends on what kind of show you are doing. MCM is definitely one of the best performing groups in PIW. It is simply just a part of what they do certain depending on their show.

  • delete "certain" from that last sentence. lol.

  • What Music City Mystique does is part of their visual costume. And since they always win visual, I would say it's helping rather than hurting. Out of all the groups they only lost to three not wearing any sort of makeup. That's pretty good.

  • Yea...the last time mcm won visual hands down was 2004. The only other time they were close was when they actually tied in 2007 for visual. Glad to see you actually know what your talking about. So....the make-up is actually not helping. So .....out of 5 years, groups who haven't wore make-up have beat them in visual performance.

  • @drumsinagymFAN im pretty sure its just a tradition

  • Well we all know they like to hide behind their make-up.

  • This BHS group is pretty good for a high school line. Doesn't sound like they need luck!

  • So many damn notes!!

  • I just noticed...one of the tenors has a Burger King crown on.... lol. I love these guys

  • Rhythm X should be sick this year. since justin is on it

  • Yes, for no other reason but Justin.

And maybe at the end of the year they'll be like Bluecoats and Mystique saying, "ok, you marched with us, pay your dues."

  • Rhythm X is sick every year. Its going to be especially awesome this year with Joel tapping along with the rest of the all-star line.

  • JUSTIN LEWIS IS SOOOOO FUCKING HOT.

  • Did you march Coats or MCM? You seem to not only know a lot about Justin obviously, but have a personal vendetta against him.

  • Both. You for, me against.

Treating the staff/my friends of both organizations with the lack of respect that he did, I have no problem in saying what I'm saying.

When Bluecoats staff tell me that when they had auditions in November 08 and had to clean dried puke from he drums from them being drunk at Retreat, I lose respect for them.

Yes, this was the best drumline coats ever had, but the fact they were assholes about it makes it a little less sweet

No I don't feel bad at all.

  • What's wrong with asking a member to abide by the rules when it comes to paying your dues?

Why does this guy not have to pay dues for one organization and get to run to another?

But you know what, let him burn those bridges, he's RX's problem now.

  • I never even said there wasn't anything wrong with paying dues, or implied that he did. My question was if you had knew him personally? Did you even march with him or are you making statements that you heard from other people? Just curious. You seem to have it out for him.

From what I've heard from a friend who marches X he is having a good time and no problems.

  • this is correct. he is having a great time at x, and im glad he's in the snareline.

  • Hmm. I see. No one gets drunk on finals night in DCI......

Secondly, a lot of that situation has mended between the staff and members. Forgiveness is a possibility in this world. I think those guys learned and accepted that they made mistake and error in judgement that night.

Thirdly, there would be dried puke if those guys missed some spots after retreat.

  • Drunk, throwing up DURING retreat?

yeah, there's a difference. No one is dumb enough to say that no drinks on finals.

But yes, I believe in the whole, "representing your ensemble with respect." That's not the case when you can't walk straight to retreat.

  • So the entire battery was throwing up at retreat? They might has well have performed 18 guys 1 cup in my opinion.

  • Yea if you didn't march coats 04-08 then you don't shit about the staff.

  • I marched with the corps director.

I aged out with guys on the staff there.

I marched with the snare tech.

MM came in and helped us at MCM for years and years.

But you're right. drum corps is such a large world, there's no way that someone knows someone a few years after the age out.

  • it sounds like someone is a little bitter about having his ass handed to him all of last year by rhythmx.

i was at x's rehearsal last weekend, and i can assure you that justin is having an awesome time. and i must say, he drumming a lot of notes with a lot of dudes EXTREMELY well. rhythmx is going to be a sight to see.

  • Yeah, I'm 31. No one handed me anything last year.

I've helped a lot of the MCM kids with food, transportation, money. Some of these kids bust their butts to pay off their dues.

It's a lack of respect for the organization to let you march even though you owe money, then up and bail even after being less than respectful as a member.

    That's how groups go under.

It's easy, you pay, you march. You don't, you don't.

  • So this "lack of respect," that this person had, took advantage of these "awesome groups" that allowed him to "march" without paying "fees". Not to mention he was actually asked to leave MCM. All of the blame definitely rests in the hands of kid, not the adults who run these organizations....who allowed this type of behavior. Got it.

  • I think it's funny how you don't have a clue as to who you're speaking to.

If you got a problem with MCM's score, you go and talk to the judges that gave it to them.

I think that we all know that MCM doesn't "hide" behind anything.

But really, I could care less what your opinion is. Best of luck BHS!!!

  • Does anyone find it funny that MCM allowed a member that "wasn't paying their fees" to march. Hmmmmm. Interesting decision from such a well respected organization. I guess they allow things like to take place during the season, with intentions on cutting them the next year. Interesting.

  • Who is this guy?

  • I believe at some point these conversations involved elements surrounding an incident/incidents with Justin Lewis. LOL. Well, I'm friends with Justin personally, so I would like to wish him luck, as well as X, MCM, and all of other groups who will be at WGI finals.

  • Nice assumption that people don't have a clue who you are. It seems to me that you really don't care about what other people's opinions are. You only become more defensive each time you respond, while feeling the need to further draw this pointless one sided argument out. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to all the groups this year.

  • It really sucks a lot of the music isn't heard on the dvd

  • The world of Copyrights is a scary place. It happened to us too. I'm in South Hills High School, BTW.

  • oh yeah sucks for you guys. i watched that...

    congrats on the win though

  • Thanks.

  • Also a good thing that WGI didn't stand by their rule that all the music has to be cleared or your disqualified.

    It's a great show.

  • sex in my ear

  • the tenors during that visual, if you couldn't hear, say "cut, cut, eat" and then the third time say "cut, cut, eat, boners, mmm that's good"

  • it has already showed up again at rehearsal this year.

  • ..... wow. insane

  • Did anyone notice how the quads did the eat with their sticks as utensils visual from last year?

  • i did! :D

  • I'm pretty sure it was in 06 as well.

  • and 05... and 04... and so on

  • Gotta love tradition

  • i sat about a foot from the snare line, absolutlely amazing

  • That was ME that said "Uh Oh"!!!

  • so clean.

  • RX is obsessed with justin timberlake i think

  • haha! i love the guy who said "Uh-oh!" at the bass break. XD

    4:30ish.

  • I love these guys. ='D

  • i love you bollman

  • Everybody loves Josh Bollman.

  • i love josh bollman.

    SNOID!!!

  • who is Josh Bollman?

  • RX Snare and my battery tech for the last winter season.

  • pro shit then lol

  • having fun

  • all i want to know is why the snare player cut his hair...

  • He shaved it while teching our winter line, I have pictures of it.

  • This was most fun I've ever had in the lot. After watching them warm up here I knew they were gonna win...

  • No, I'm pretty sure the attitude is what attributes to the awesome notes they threw down. Are you more inclined to do your best when you're stressed, or when you're having fun?

  • i just think its awesome they let the crown stand this close. Talk about hype. I just wish I would have had a chance to see this show live.

  • i was in dayton for finals and saw it live. HOLY SHIT. this show was incredible. most clever and all around BEST show design i've ever seen. ever.

  • i hope youre sarcastic...

  • I hope he's not. EVER!~!~!

  • Rhythm X is the best ensemble ever in indoor history. The end.

  • haha

    4:12 the tenors hahaha

  • i still can't believe how incredible this show is...ahh! it amazes me.

  • This was the cleanest show of them all, and over all the best.

  • Best. Ever.

The pit arranger/tech said that the way they did the lot on that night, with the crowd interspersed, is how they're doing it from now on.

Thank RX for a new tradition.

  • whoever videotaped this mustve been right next to me. fuckin sweet lot.

  • Damnnnn.. tenor chops!

  • unbelievable.

  • YES GOOD ASS CLEAR video. Loving the good quality of the vid. Awesome quad and snare footage. SO GAWD DAMNED CLEAN lol.
