  • Thanks man, you first, has played palm muting, now i know, that this guitar is good.

  • I have a quick question. Are you using the dean m10 amp, standard pickups, and no effects, etc etc? I'm just curious because i'm new to guitar and i plan on buying this guitar if that is true. It sounds really nice to me. This is the best dean evo xm review i've seen. the nice clean tone and the heavier tone sound great!

  • @337camo Hi Camo, The guitar is probably plugged into some sort of practice amp that we use in the private lesson rooms. No effects are being used. All guitars from The School of Music come with set-ups and adjustments to make them sound and play their best for our customers. So you may want to try out the guitar at your local shop. Definitely dont buy off the web. Try the guitar and buy the one that sounds good in your hands. Best of luck!-glenn

  • sorry but i just wanted to ask... is this guitar good for completely new player, for first steps? and for playing hardcore/punk/alternative music?

  • hi man good play.. look pls answer me... this guitar is good for play alternative rock?

  • @l2xangelx Hi angelx, Thanks for watching our video. Yes, i think its a great instrument for any genre. Its very affordable and an easy way to get started in rock n roll. As you become more experienced, you might want to progress to an instrument with more refinement, but its great to start with. Thanks again and Happy Holidays!

  • Can you play country music on this? For example, she's country by jason aldean

  • @MrChicagoGuy23 Thanks for the question. This is an all around inexpensive guitar to get you into a rock n roll sound. For country, though, id say maybe not. The pick ups dont have the high-end twang that youd like to hear. Maybe it would be better for a country-rock hybrid sound if anything. I hope this helps. Thanks again!

  • Is that guitar good for playing metal?

  • @theschoolofmusic is this guitar the Dean Evo XM Electric Guitar?

  • @theschoolofmusic is this like the Dean Vendetta with tromolo or are they two different sounds

  • do i need a certain amp to make it sound like tht or can i just buy the cheapest one?

  • should i get this or a gibson les paul

  • @kukdadydollar If you can afford a gibson les paul then go with the Gibson for two reasons: 1) Higher resale value 2) replacement parts are plentiful. Now, the reality is that a Dean costs like $150 bucks and a Gibson costs $3,000. bucks. Do i think a gibson is $2,850 better than a Dean? Not a chance. If i was on a budget, i would feel comfortable buying a Dean and knowing i got a darn good guitar for the price.

  • @theschoolofmusic Haha What a weird question .

  • is it good to play if you not have big hands ? Ty i love the collor and shape <3

  • @Maxsaline yes, actually the neck is smaller on this guitar more a gibsons so its good for small hands. Fenders have longer necks but crisper notes. Gibson length necks have less string tension but a more muddy sound.

  • @theschoolofmusic and is it also good for metallica songs ?

  • hey im trying to figure out some guitars i should buy, and this one is on my list... If u could rate this guitar overall on a scale of 1-10 it would help very much. Please reply soon. Thanks :)

  • Is it good for Green Day, rhcp, nirvana or blink 182 songs????

  • @vasorockgirl sure is. Remember, that a good amp has as much effect on tone as the guitar. So a good combo of the two is needed to get just the right sound youre searching for. Thanks for the question. I hope this answer helped.

  • Iss It Good For Like Soft Rock Or Artinitive?

  • @TheAlien360 sure is. Id say Alternative like Silver Sun Pick-ups but maybe not soft rock since this guitar has a growl instead of clean sparkle like most soft rock songs require.

  • @theschoolofmusic how about beatle songs or rolling stones songs how is it for that type of music

  • Something is wrong with my model...........I cant tell what it is, could you give me some info on how i could fix it.

  • @DragonArmorSoldier71 What makes you think something is wrong with it?

  • @DragonArmorSoldier71 What makes you think something is wrong? If you can describe as much as you can I may be able to help.

  • i should've bought this :( it was a Guitar package in that store :( i dunno which one is better but i think i like this one more :(

  • you should change the title dean xm. there is the dean vendetta xm and the one that you have is the dean evo em. change it from dean xm to dean evo xm, they are a different model. dont want any confusion.

  • yes i did but have you the 10 watt amp from dean or another one, but can it makes a difference which amp you use (i mean the sound not the volume)

but already thnx for help 0=3

  • 1 question how did u get this sound cuz mines is really bad. is it the same amp as by the pack or another one

  • Thanks for asking. It was pretty easy. The guitar has a nice growl to it naturally. The amp is pretty standard solid state amp that we use in our teaching rooms. Perhaps it was the way we equalized the amp that gives it the sound you like. Have you experimented with various settings?

  • I see a les paul in the background....umm Can I have? lol.

I want the dean XM because of it's pickups and it looks like a les paul.

  • yup, it looks cool. sound cool. and is a very light guitar!

  • Is the Dean Vendetta a good choice or better if I buy a Epiphone Les Paul Specaial 2 or is better if I wait and I will get a Yamaha rgx121z?

  • All those guitars are solid choices but will sound very different. The yamaha is the most versatile but the floating bridge can be a pain at times. The Epiphone is solid but will have high strings. The Vandetta Splits the difference between the two. Hope that helps.

  • i play metal and harcore shit like that, is this worth it?

  • hmm, probably not if you are going to rock out hard. Youll want a guitar with a locking nut so it wont go out of tune so frequently. Thanks for asking!

  • @theschoolofmusic u can get locks on it u kno those r good too

  • This is a good project guitar to figure out how to level frets and work around cheap construction. Though if this place sets it up for you, you won't have quite as much work to do.

  • These guitars cost $95.00 from our in-store inventory. They come with a carrying bag and a full set-up ( $75.00 usually). We can also order you brand new "still in the box" models for $135.00 which will also include all the free stuff.

    Thanks for your interest!

  • How much do these cost

  • they are fairly inexpensive. you can get one for under $200 bucks.

  • @theschoolofmusic can for under 200?

their 120 no matter where you go.

used to be 80 when i got mine.

  • @theschoolofmusic

i was just start playing so i go tthe cheapest guitar i could, and guitar center has an amp&guitar package for like $180 and the individual guitar is like $120

  • @JimmyDavidProduction at guitarcenter a new 1 is 120.00 but i saw em on sail 2 days ago(august 28th 2010) for only 99.99

  • what spefific effects or pickups were used while you played?? please answer!

  • hi ugafan93. Thanks for the question. There are no special effects. That is Just a dean plugged into a Fender Champ Amp. The Amp itself has reverb and distortion options.

  • alright, thanks alot for answering my question!
