Why is it so difficult to understand that illegals are not citizens and should not be in America w/o proper documentation? We cannot just go to Mexico and live w/o proper documentation.

I think people are just over reacting, we need to get illegal people out of our country, no matter their ethnicity. I live in Arizona and 50 miles south of Phoenix people cant go out in the desert and ride dirt bikes or doon buggies for fear of running up on human smugglers or drug runners. People in other states dont understand whats happening here. Illegal immigration has taken its toll on us. It's very expensive to take care of illegals. 17% of those caught by by the sheriff have criminal records. They are not all here to pick lettuce. Many are good people I'm sure.

Most illegals don't even know these protests exist. Very few of them would show up at such events, knowing that they might get arrested. You are all being played by the media.

If you say no, you get a shot to go before a judge. You’re in removal proceedings, but it may take four years from start to finish.throughout the process you are entitled to a work document. This is a copy of the Federal Law that isn't well enforced. Suddenly Arizona wants to enforce the Federal Law and everyone gets butt hurt.
It isn't racist for being asked to show ID. You do so when you get on a airplane, use a credit card or get pulled over by a cop.
In case it matters I am a third generation Mexican American. I'm not offended when asked for ID. You shouldn't see it as an inconvenience because it isn't.

Also still in the law are provisions creating new state crimes of: 1. human smuggling; 2. stopping a motor vehicle to pick up day laborers; 3. knowingly employing illegal foreign residents. This leaves in the law many sharp teeth for Arizona to punish those who hire or help illegal aliens.

I'm mexican, and I have no issue with Arizona. I was born here in America, like my mother and grandma and my father. I think people are just over reacting, we need to get illegal people out of our country, no matter their ethnicity. I have my id, birth certificate as should ever american and don't have a problem with showing it.. or being asked to. I live in Arizona and 50 miles south of Phoenix people cant go out in the desert and ride dirt bikes or doon buggies for fear of running up on human smugglers or drug runners. People in other states dont understand whats happening here. Illegal immigration has taken its toll on us. It's very expensive to take care of illegals. 17% of those caught by by the sheriff have criminal records. They are not all here to pick lettuce. Many are good people I'm sure.

I completely agree with Arizona taking a stand. I'm looking on the net to find products made in, or exported from, Arizona and buying them. I'd like for others to do the same. They can only get people to do what they want by paying them for their services as in employment or creating something that they want such as what busiensses do. It maximizes freedom of the individual since every person volunteers to interact with the other.

These people used to be corn farmers and workers in the fields. When NAFTA was introduced, the corn sold from here to Mexico displaced 6 million corn farmers. They did it on purpose, because then US corps. opened up sweatshops on the Mexican border in order to use this displaced labor. The rest come here to fend for themselves. Free trade..
