  • Possibly the best editing on you tube -fantastic

  • There never is a syle that "comes back" but rather gets more attention than others. Every style deserves their day in the sun I suppose. Metal endures for me because it really inspires me to play. If music (any genre) doesn't do that for you then it is a waste of your time. In the words of Plato, "Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." :)

  • 3:00 i want that notes.....

  • It really bothers me to think that one day we will meet our fate, and we never know when our time is up. One minute your doing something and then gone. Life is a bitch!!

  • i wish that i could go back in Time i would Suggest Randy not to go in the plane

  • Watch That Metal Show with Joe Lynn Turner. The same guy was to drive Rainbow/Ritchie Blackmore in place of their vacationing bus driver. Blackmore said he felt a darkness about this guy. Blackmore wouldn't ride with him.

  • Who hired the stupid coke head bastard pilot???They should have done testing on him before allowing a guitar phenomenon into the plane with him,,,who hired him Sharon???

  • Bro I need the tab for the last song! it kicks ass! please!!!

  • @PurpleSnowFox I did start on a tab for this song. I'll see what I can do for you...

  • @03191982 thanks. by the way, this is purplesnowfox. this is my new channel. your great at guitar! can't wait to get the tabs!!!!

  • I remember the day this happened.sadly at the time most people didnt know who randy rhodes was.I did because i had the album blizzard of ozz.but at the time ozzy was the big star. had been in sabbath all those yrs and it was his solo carreer. most thought his band was great but nobody new who randy was or any of the other members for that matter.when i first heard him I thought he was great and thought he was better then EVH which was most peoples favorite guitarist at the time

  • @smithdsmit Great comment about Randy. Thanks :)

  • Comment removed

  • In that end solo, is that Randy Rhoads, if it is its amazing. That has to have been Randy Rhoads

  • @ozzy4266 Wow that is the best compliment I have ever received. I really appreciate that. I suppose my ability at that time brought out the best in me. I hope Randy appreciated the effort anyway. Thanks. :)

  • @03191982 That was you? Man, your good, I seriously thought it was Randy in his Quiet Riot days. Randy was the best by far. May he rest in piece. Keep playing guitar man. The world needs his style back, and you have it.

  • @ozzy4266 Thanks so much bro. Very cool of you to say that. I'm a guitar teacher so that is like the most kickass compliment I can receive. :)

  • @03191982 Im a guitar student, Im learning Crazy Train and all other Randy songs. Please tell me what kind of guitar did you use. Was it a Gibson Les Paul?

  • @ozzy4266 That style is coming back, hang in there.

  • @42lynchmob R.I.P. Im tired of hearing Rap music. We need Randy!!!!!

  • @PurpleSnowFox Hello PSF. If it is the electric part (i,e, 2:34) then it is the solo I created completely on my own. It was inspired by Randy's playing. Thanks for listening and I truly appreciate the comment. :)

  • "Randy with his black and white polka dotted flying V"

    another note....the airplane was a V-tail Bonanza

  • RANDY RHOADS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

  • The day that music died...

  • @goodygoody23 Agreed...LLRR!!

  • In the BAND PICTURE in park, who's the dude standing on ladder?

Are the other guys Kelly Garni + Kevin DuBrow. (It doesn't even look like Randy......he must have been so young...)

    Thx

  • the way you made the picture at the very end he looks like rock jesus rising from the death

  • @CoGsCrAfT Thanks. LOL. I was able to get two pictures and superimposed them over one another and in effect give Randy and his music the impression of living on forever. It was an inspired moment. I really appreciate the comment very much. :)

  • very cool!,ya know I never thought about it untill a few years later after his death while looking at photos of Randy with his black and white polka dotted flying V that it has propellers on the neck instead of dots, kinda gave me chills the first time I noticed it

  • @chriswelch1971 If I remember correctly those "propellers" represented (gave homage to) the bow-ties that Randy used to wear in Quiet Riot.

  • at 3:34, I could be mistaking but the guy on the far back on the left looks like Johnny Ramone.

  • @TheStormtrooper94 Wow! You could be right. Sure looks like him at 3:34. Thanks for posting.

  • Excellent video. I've never seen some of those images from the accident scene. It still give me shivers when I see it; such a loss. My all time favorite guitarist. RIP RR.

  • @rockerjt Thanks, I really appreciate it. There is even more footage out there that was recently posted on youtube. Truly a sad day and a great loss for Rock n' Roll.

  • 3:34 I'm in shock! I've never seen this picture before....

  • The God of Rock is smiling upon you for this. great job

  • why did he have to get on something he didnt want to :((((

  • I miss you! randy the legendary!

  • @chaotic13000 Well said chaotic13000.

  • Very nice video. Well done.

  • @markraishbrook Thanks Mark. It was definitely a labor of love. Long live Randy!

  • Great video! I liked all those early pics of RR through his life. Nice job on putting the mood, the music, and all the pics together. Thumbs up!

What a shame that such a talented guitarist with a bright future ahead of him had to die because of an idiot driver/pilot that took too many chances.

  • @MusicalMagicProducer Thanks so much for the kind comment. Jack Osboune mentioned in a recent interview how that accident was given different explanations by witnesses there that day. Who knows what the true story may be...

  • @03191982 Whatever explanations were given, the simple fact is that RR would never have died if it wasn't for the pilot making more than two low-level flights over the tour bus. Blame it on cocaine, or his lack of sleep, but the pilot was the one who acted like a fool, which led to the accident. Had he simply flown the plane like a normal person, RR may still have been with us.

  • what the god of music do to cruch by plan :( randy rhoads die the rock die

  • @hassanstar2009 Luckily, his music lives forever to inspire musicians everywhere. I am thankful for that no doubt. :)

  • Truely a very sad day in the History of Music. I give this video a double thumbs up. Thank you very much for creating this video. The music really sets the mood.

    R.I.P. Randy Rhoads

  • @xtremepyrotech Thank you so much. This video took me about a month to put together. A 5 second clip about Randy's death on VH1 Classics doesn't do him justice. He was just too damn important to Rock-n-Roll.

  • who the fuck is the person that don't like this video :(

  • men you are my idol you know everything about randy thank you very much and happy new year!

  • @nicolas201014 LOL. Not everything Nicolas :). I'm sure my knowledge is nothing compared to Kelle Rhoads memory. I just try to do my best and keep up with the changes. Here's hoping Randy fans will get their wishes fulfilled this year. Long live Randy....

  • hey men where is the tour bus? what they did with it?

  • @nicolas201014 The tour bus was actually sold to a collector I believe some time ago. Of course that was just rumour and I cannot tell you who might of actually "bought' the tour bus. The documentary is still on the down-low. Noone (except Peter) knows when or even "if" it will be released next year. As with all things related to Randy Rhoads; just be patient. :)

  • hey other question do you know when is avaible the documentary: last train home.

    thanks!

  • thank you so much and merry christmas!

  • Comment removed

  • where's the rest of the plane, i mean what they did with the remains?

sorry for my english, hey other question where are randy's things like guitars,clothes,etc... and what is the name of the sheriff? please answer, thanks!!!

  • @nicolas201014 The only part of the plane that was recognizable was a piece of the wing that broke off upon collision with the tour bus. All remains were removed from site and properly buried according to the wishes of the families. Randy's guitars have traveled around somewhat but they are never too far from Musonia. I do not know the sheriff's name. That was never told to me. Hope that helps a little... :)

  • It is said Andrew Aycock tried to kill his Ex-wife and almost killed Ozzy, Sharon, Tommy, Rudy. Don, and Jake (The manager) but Randy pulled up so it wouldn't kill Ozzy, Sharon etc...

  • @mrdeersniper I did talk to someone (Randy fan) who did talk to the Ex-Sheriff of Leesburg. He stated that it was probably NOT an accident. There is a lot we don't know about that tragic day. Don Airey may have photos which do show what happened in the cockpit that day but has not published them out of respect for Randy.

  • Epic video! Thanks for sharing some of those old pics.

  • @Drzronnie Your welcome Drzronnie. Thanks for watching. Randy was EPIC. :)

  • Best video on YouTube. No doubt.

And one thing I also like about it is; there's no flaming or negative comments.

  • @Alexanderzzzzon Thanks Alexander. I think it shows the kind of respect Randy has as a dedicated guitar teacher and performer. He was pure music. I am very thankful to his students who have uploaded their private lessons on youtube as a way of showing the world his passion to teach. He was beloved by his students because he was humble, patient and simply wanted you to reach your true potential. As a performer he was very dynamic and magnetic to watch. Long Live Randy. :)

  • @03191982 Cheers mate!

    Long Live Randy!

  • you did such a great job on this video!! i love it! do you know anything about the documentary last train home? is it still in the making? god bless Randy Rhoads

  • @Elvinv That is a hard question to answer no doubt. I've been told that it has been finished. The question is, "Why have we not heard anything about it?" I know that it was (rumoured) to be released simultaneously with the 30th Anniversary reissues of BOO and DOAM. The unfortunate thing is that they too have been delayed. It looks like the waiting game for Randy fans once again. We are used to that I suppose. :)

  • @03191982 thanks for your info. it is a pity that we have to wait for so long :( but when the documentary is released we'll be more than happy :) have a nice day!

  • Godbless you rhoads

  • @Co0kiEzJokEzz Absolutely!! I couldn't agree more.

  • you did such a wonderful job...so sad...

  • @joesgirl57 Thank you very much joesgirl57. Randy was truly a great loss for us fans. Hopefully we'll get to see Randy perform once again on stage with the release of unseen footage next year. He as a wonderful teacher and inspirational guitar player in every way. A wonderful human being. :)

  • Respect :(

  • @Deagleagle Thanks Deagleagle. Randy is a true guitar hero and always brought the best out of everyone. :)

  • Randy was the best. What about this song? What band is playing?

  • @Parthasarathidas1 This is a song I wrote for a concept album based on Randy's positive influence on guitar players. I made the video to fit this song by telling the story of the plane crash from a documentary perspective.

  • that is the real plane?

  • @nicolas201014 No. I actually found footage of several Beechcraft Bonanza planes making low passes and was able to construct a story around Randy's plane crash. Notice that one of the Beechcraft's is not even a V-tail. (:43)

  • Randy Rhoads was the greatest guitarist and if it wasnt for that damn busdriver he would still be alive today

R.I.P RANDY the greatest guitarist in history

  • @ZakkWylde225 Randy has been sorely missed but this year he makes the ultimate comback!

  • poor man he wuz a great guitarist and will always \m/

  • @deathmaster5546 Thanks for your kind comment. Randy will finally get his day in the sun with the documentary and unseen footage in November. Get ready to be amazed once more...

  • its so sad, he was only 25 and he was the best guitarrist, T-T, thumbs up if you think that randy is the best guitarrist of all time.

  • @nicolas201014 Without a doubt the best musician in a generation...

  • hey man please write back! when will we get to see the unseen randy rhoads clips, and what songs will they be! please write back

  • @jacoblroark Sorry for the slow reply. In January of 2010 Ozzy & Sharon announced previously unseen footage of Randy from Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman. As far I know these will be "complete" shows. All Randy fans are elated by this news of course. November seems to be the key date to remember. Along with that are the 30th anniversary reissues that will have the original drums and bass parts back on them. Be patient, I've waited 28 years for something this good. It will finally happen.:)

  • @03191982 so r u saying these footages or "complete shows" will be released in november on 2010? if so, i hope film of paranoid will be part of the film, randy tore that song up! in fact when iommi heard it, i'll bet he shit his pants! also, where will i be able to find the unseen footage when it is released??

  • i cried in the beginning

  • @jacoblroark It was a terrible day for all Randy fans. I believe this year is full of hope. We will get two unseen footages of Randy playing on stage. It will also spark a whole new generation of guitar players to teach the guitar and learn their craft better. :)

  • @03191982 omg seriously when!!!!! what songs!!! dude u got me hyped up. i wasnt even alive when he was, but i play guitar and he's my idol!!!!!!! please write back!!!!

when are they coming out, and what 2 songs are they!!! hopefully one of the songs in paranoid played by randy, that was kickass

  • Good work my man!! It's very painful to watch the beginning,,The middle was great. The riff is 100% Randy,,,the ending really hurt me,,,

  • This was the hardest video for me to make as well. I hope it shed some light on the tragedy of that day. Long live Randy...

  • RS: I go into that in Chapter 19. It was clear that there was in fact a struggle [on the plane between Andy and Randy] before the crash. Photographs taken by Don, the tour manager, prove that the plane was almost perpendicular when it clipped the tour bus before it crashed. I believe that Randy was [struggling with the pilot, Andy] trying to save our lives. ...

  • @rhoadsrules1 / I read Rudy Sarzo's book as well and I just don't agree with Rudy's assesment tha the pilot was trying to take out his ex wife. Tommy Aldridge has said he did'nt agree with Rudy as well. Heck Jake the tour manager and Don Airey had just gone up a few minutes earlier and Andy Aycock was doing the same thing with them as well, buzzing the tour bus. I would love to see the pics that Don Airey supposedly took that would prove it. My opinion just a dumb idea and a fatal mistake.

  • Maybe someday we'll to discover once and for all if what Rudy says is actually true. Even I feel like it was no accident by the way the plane was perpendicular to the bus before impact. Who knows...

  • I've heard of those pictures. If they are true it would indeed be a revelation of monumental proportions. Even the retired sheriff of the case has mentioned that it was no accident.

  • @03191982 / What did the sheriff say? I just think it was a bad idea from a guy that was geeked up on coke, fatigued from the drive of 10 hours and trying to show off. I will say that it is strange that he Aycock said he would take it easy with Rachel Youngblood onboard because of her heart condition and Randy's fear of flying and then he went back to buzzing the tour bus like he did with Don Airy and Jake the tour manager on board.

  • @michaels2boys I met a very cool Randy fan not too long ago that went to Leesburg and talked to the sheriff that was there that day. He simply said that it was definitely no accident. Some speculate a struggle while others speculate sabatage. If Don Airey ever publishes his own book I would definitely want to see if it was indeed true.

  • @03191982 I believe you are talking about Rob. Super cool guy. I agree. We'll have to wait for confirmation on whether or not something really did happen. I won't speculate about it. I just like to know if it is true or not with some certainty.

  • This is the worst day in history

  • i'm sorry i could never seen rhoads play live. that will always be my regret

  • @TheMarkus16 Yeah I was only 12 at the time and didn't see my first rock concert until I was 15. I am so grateful that Tribute came out. It inspired me to become a guitar teacher all these years later. Thanks Randy...

  • Well, this was just depressing.

  • @NoQuattro It was definitely a horrible day. However, Randy's music keeps inspiring new guitar players every day. Some of my guitar students are definitely into Randy and that is so cool...

  • when the plane crashed they found cocain in the flyers body only nicatine from cigs in randys body.

  • That right heese0tron. Randy wasn't high. He just wanted to take some photos of the surrounding area. Worst day ever for Ozzy fans...

  • this was a sad day :/ playching chicken with ozzys bus..they r out of their minds..

  • Yes it really was JMaiden666. But I don't think Randy knew what was about to happen. He only wanted to take pictures from the plane. What a great loss...

  • why is it that so many great guitarists die before their time?

  • Great question BigJoeTheMusicMan. I guess for some it's not meant to happen but simply a sad twist of fate.

  • 28 yrs ago------exactly-------R.I.P Randy Rhoads

    March 19, 1982

  • Absolutely right usefulcoin. Every year here at Ultimate Rhoads we pay tribute to him. Thanks for remembering.

  • @usefulcoin Thanks for Remembering Randy on this day. Peace...

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Hi KarimisFan. The song's title is simply March 19,1982. It is an instrumental piece meant to tell a story about the plane crash that occurred that day. Thanks for listening.

  • Was very honoured to see Randy play live in Hull,England with Ozzy on the 1st Blizzard of ozz tour in 1980..fantastic guitarist will never be forgotten..RIP Randy a true legend.

  • Thanks Psyrax64,

There is finally some wonderful news for Randy Rhoads fans these days. A soon to be documentary and newly discovered footage of Randy and Ozzy will be released later this year. What an exciting time!!

  • Any idea where to get the documentary?

    R.I.P. Randy

  • its not out yet, but if u find otherwise, could ya tell me? i really want to see it. (there mite be two, im not sure bout the second 1, but the first will be out 3-19-10)

  • The documentary will hopefully be released this year. No date has been set yet. The new footage of Randy discovered by Ozzy on Jan. 24, 2010 will be released on DVD later this year. Something also tells me that there are even bigger things on the horizon but no news statements have been issued yet. Go to Peter Margolis's Facebook page for further updates. Until then just keep the faith...

  • The documentary should be released this year. Peter Margolis (director) has stated on his Facebook page that the first 35 minutes of the documentary are completed so far. That is all that is known for certain. Everything else falls under speculation. Ozzy stated on Twitter that new footage of Randy will be released on DVD later this year as well. This is definitely the best year to be a Randy Rhoads fan!! Be patient. I'm sure you will get to see your favorite guitar player live on stage again.

  • @03191982 im so excited for this. Thanks for the info. Hopefully i will get to go down to his grave on March 19th year to pay my respects, as I live 30-40 mintues away.

  • That would be wonderful KarimisFan. Someday I will take the trip out to California and pay my respects as well. Thanks for remembering Randy on this tragic day.

  • R.I.P the best guitarist in history!

  • Thanks JonasM07. I completely agree!

  • I couldn't agree more. Randy was a fantastic teacher as well. :)

  • @JonasM07 Absolutely. For Randy Rhoads fans it was the death of a true guitar hero.

  • someone can answer this question please?i just want to say if there is a film ora video tribute for randy.

  • Hello ruinmela. This is a music video for a concept album based upon the Death and Legacy of Randy Rhoads. I created it to tell the story of the Day Randy died. As you may already be aware a documentary of Randy is already in the works and new footage was discovered by Ozzy just 3 days ago. It is a wonderful time to be Randy Rhoads fan. I am currently writing and recording the remaining songs for this concept album. It will be finished this year. I hope this helps. ~David

  • Deep.... Wow... Randy will NEVER be forgotten... I totally agree

  • Thanks YogaArmy. Randy was one of a kind. Hopefully the documentary about Randy will finally show the general public just how unique he was as a musician and a wonderful teacher.

  • The house in this video is the original but now is fully restored. There are no original photos of the house before the crash. (At least none that I'm aware of). This is more of a music video than an actual documentary. I tried to be as accurate as possible about the crash based on the articles and pictures I read. Only those that were there know how it really unfolded. I suggest reading Rudy Sarzo's book to give you the best insight.

  • Randy is the god of guitar, idc wat anyone says, he was the best and will always b the best

  • Randy was the best for so many reasons. He was a dedicated musician, teacher and best friend to Ozzy. There was nothing more important to Randy than helping other struggling guitar players find their own voice on their instrument. We miss you Randy.

  • Randy was the "Total Package." We are lucky to have precious gems like The Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman. Thanks Randy!!

  • @rhoadsfan93 thats rite man. sure there r other great one's (Hendrix, Page. & Eddie) but Randy stood out for some reason.

  • randy will NEVER be forgotten

  • Randy's memory will certainly grow when the documentary of his incredible life comes out at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. The man becomes the legend.

  • may you restin peace randy rhoads

    your #1 fan, Kevin

  • Thanks for your kind words Kevin. Long live Randy Rhoads. :)
