@sirtom68 I've been playing around with pine straw burning this year. I have an unlimited supply of pine straw down here LOL. It burns very hot but needs good air flow. Also wanting to make a waste oil burner that fits in my wood stove. Just need to invest in a good plasma cutter so I can start making a real burner design.

At $8 per bushel that equates to $320 per ton.

Where I come from that is ridiculously expensive for heating.

May I make a suggestion....

If you build a box of fire bricks around your flue pipe and then build a fire at the base of the flue pipe instead of at the top, you'll have a modified rocket stove. I would be interested to see if this would make burning your corn easier and have less smoke to pollute. Also, a rocket stove is very efficient and might burn less corn and provide more heat.

Just my thoughts ....

That's gotta be the most complicated and diffucult stove i've ever seen.  It's retarded.
