pretty good, also check with your local model shop for some high gloss spray sealant or varnish, it should be very easy to find and will give it that shiny gloss look as well as help protect the paint from being worn off when being handled.

i found that the paint came off pretty easily when i did it with tennis balls.

the tape will eventually loose its adhesiveness. Not to mention that when you paint something it becomes a solid layer and when the layer moves the paint moves with it causing the paint to crack.
