  • what size is youre tank?

  • @161108JR : 369 gallon

  • @mediajunkie Than u dont know managuense they ate all of my vieja syn. fry

and are terrorising my green terrors convict dont stand a chance against these big guapotes

  • @mcfokkinw : haha actually mediajunkie was right. The convicts had nests within days of entereing the tank, and their offspring swarmed the tank. The mana's were put into the tank a couple of months later, and were never able to reduce the numbers significantly. Too many rocks and wood in the tank, so lots of hiding spaces for the littel, quick convicts + the smartest and the fastests survived!

  • whats the common name for the cichlid in :5 seconds?

  • I only know the latin name: Parachromis loisellei

  • supposedly from what i have read, the common name is guapotilo. but i am not completely sure its true. it says they are rare. where did you get it?

  • YEAH! KISS and cichlids....right on!

  • the convicts were the first tank inhabitants. I had three couples and within a week I had 3 nests. I removed most of the fry, and kept a few in a separate tank to later feed the managuenses. After the mana's and loisellei were introduced, the Convicts never succesfully bred again, but the remaining ones + most of the feeder fish live a good live between the rocks. Their number is not increasing.

  • Your tank will be over run with cons in a while
