Here is my take on the "colonization" issue. And I am saying this in good faith! Menlik and his army expanded their territory just like any other powerful king or ruler would do during those times. Gondar, Wollo, Gojam, Jimma etc most Ethiopian provinces had their own rulers at those times. Menlik's effort to centralize power won't make those provinces colonies.
