  • i love your soft pulsing bassline, and how you don't let it overpower the trebles

  • A stunning performance, you never cease to show excellent playing skill. I am working with this song and I've ran into a problem. At the beginning of measure 14 the transcription indicates to put an accent on the melody note at the top of the arpeggio, I want to add a rest stroke but this interferes with the arpeggio because it stops the B string from ringing, how should I accent that note?

  • Hi. Thanks for listening to me.

You cannot use a rest stroke, as you say... instead you only have to pluck it harder than the other notes. It's as simple (and difficult) as that...

    Good luck!

  • how do you play this so fast AND fleuntly?? is there a technique?? or is it just loads of practice?

  • I just tried to play this at your speed, and my fingers literally fell off and flew across the room. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY.

  • Hi my friend. No, I am not happy for that. on the contrary. I am sure you will be able to play this as fast as you want if you practice a lot. I did! :-)

    Happy playing!!

    Hugs,

  • Very beautiful piece adante. Thank you for posting this on youtube. Is there a "how to read sheet music" book you could recommend for me?

  • Thanks for sharing! I never heard this piece until listening to this awesome performance. The same day I heard this; I want and got the sheet music. I felt that I just needed to learn this song.

I play the arpeggio kind of slow and it sounds so creepy; it will take some time to develop a decent tempo.

I stand and awe at the speed of your arpeggio. Great Work!

  • Fantastico!!

    Mighty arpeggio!

    Holy guitarist!

    :)

  • This 'Harpstudy' is of Opus 48 n.5

I hope it is helpful to a question of "luidbros"

    Best regards.

  • @angrymormon you say you practice this song can you tell me where to find it i know its 3 years later on this comment plz and thx

  • Wow peo, lovely tremelo. As a CG student it's a study to aspire to, you set a great example. Thanks.

  • Thanks David...

Appreciated. BTW: this is "arpeggio"... not tremolo...

  • Nice as for me! Very good tempo and played precisely with no mistakes. I wish i could play without mistakes. What kind of dopping (drugs) did you use before reording? Cuz i wanna use them too! :->

  • hello ive been trying to find the tabs for this one and i cant find them by the name "harpstudy"... does anybody know if it has another name?

  • It's also called Moderato. It's in E minor. The right hand pattern is a pretty consistent p i m a m i etc etc. Hope that helps.

  • This is opus 48 no. 5. Try classtab(dot)org

  • There is something wrong with YT! I didn't get one single notification!

  • Did u recorded this video using semipolished strings? or standard strings?

  • Hi! I can understand your question. I used standard strings but my hands where very dry that day and the strings very new. So, unfortunatly there is to much stringsound. Sorry :-(

  • That's fine, I was just asking my friend. U play very well. I hope you keep playing and uploading. I'd like to hear some Agustin Barrios songs from you.

  • Excellent indeed. I watch you playing a lot Peo, studying your videos is very, very instructive. Tone, dynamics, speed: just superb. This truly is a five star.

  • I am supposed to practise my guitar and here I am sitting, gluing my eyes to your playing!!!

  • good timing

  • Wonderful. Very harplike :) May i ask if you are using some kind of guitar holding apparatus? I've never seen a thing like this before.

  • wwelti: Thank you! Yes I use a support called "Gitano" [actually imported from Germany :-)] Since to years back it replaces my standard footstool. It's a great invention: light, foldeble and gives you a perfect playing position. Highly recomended!

  • Thanks. Indeed it's inexpensive and well available in german music stores :) Highly interesting, i always found the classical position uncomfortable. So now you know why i started to play ukulele ;)

  • Superbly played! Congrats!

  • just excellent !
