You can be full blooded native and be removed from your true identity or be non-native and be very connected to the native spirituality. I have seen all forms of this...natives who are disenfranchised due to their colonisation and the effects of such internalisation of such fear based religious values is truly a sad state of modern society....may all native people find their way back to their true spiritual essence and cultural traditions based upon belonging, respect, humility and integrity.

In Judaism, the earth is very important so, it's not true that the bible culture doesn't speak to preserving the earth. It was the misinterpretation of the bible by Europeans who screwed up everything with their greed. If people truly lived the bible way, we wouldn't be having these problems today. Christians should learn, then apologize.

Please forgive my fellow Christians for their trepasses towards the Natives. I assure you, that one day they will have to stand before God and he will ask them "why did you abuse my native children?". "why did you steal their lands, kill their buffalo and force them onto reservations?". Why? Why? It's a very important video as always (for any by Floyd Red Crow Westerman's friends) and Christianity does have faults/problems which promote neglect of the natural way of things.  Though I personally believe whicherver belief was most commercial would have done this (hence Islam is the choice of today). Great video.

I think the missionaries have cause the most problems coming forward that NDN people have had to deal with it. It to this day pits those who want to be more traditionalist against those who see it as a brick in thier face of thier religion so they get attacked. I actually had a very christinized man attack me, verbaly, at powwow because I was a woman, pregnant no less, who would speak her mind.Told me I was no more than a vessel for man. He never came back this way after I was done with him.
