What do you do at 0:40 to select only the very edge of the model? I've never been clear on that in any tutorial

Actually I choose face not edge.

You see the dots right? it is to select the face, I don't select the edges.

I drag select from side camera so it's easier for me rather than choose it one by one from front or perspective camera.

The fact is I can't find any easy/simple tutorial so I just create my own way. I still try to make a little bit complex version of anime head (the one that can animate eyes/mouth/face expression) but got stuck all the time.

Please share if you have a better and easier method to create this.

Great video! Probably the easier way I've found to start modeling an anime head. My method is more complicated but that doesn't mean it's better in fact I'll try to adapt your way to my method and see what I'll come up with. Thanks for sharing!
