The 2.0 litre TDi 4 x4 170 BHP diesel wasn't mentioned on this review. This engine can be found in the VW golf to - and remapped to 205 bhp, 415Nm (305 lbs/ft) torque! 0-60 mph should then be 7 seconds. I'm torn between getting one of these or a diesel Nissan Qashqai.

Thanks for the great review. Few Qs if you would be aware:
1. Exactly which engines are expected to come to India immediately and will each of them be offered with a DSG.
2. Where do you see the top of the line model spec sitting on price (on road mumbai).
3. I'm still paranoid abt the quality and cost of skoda after sales service and parts price. am i better of with a civic A/T?
