The Hammond B-3 is THE organ for rock. Bllodrock, Deep Purple and so many others used this instrument as a rythem section to set the flow of a song. It probably came from southern church servies those old rockers heard as kids int he early 50's and 60's. No doubt Greg Allman started out on the local church Hammond B-3.
RIP Nick Taylor. I played with Bloodrock in the late 70's as a replacement drummer. The reason Bloodrock never really made it was because the songs had no FM or 40 to 5 minute direction. They just seemed to go off in a tangent and that's not good for the flow of a song. The breaks in this song bring the song's flow down and thus brings the song itself down.
I have been listining since the 70s when i found them. the first song i heard was DOA and was hooked! being 9 years old you can imagine my parents reaction to BLOODROCK, took me several years to find my LP again after they hid them, but I found OZZY/BLACK SABOTh at the same time! LOL
Got All orginals on vinyl....this was nearly s hard to find as Crow (which I have 2 originals under lock & key)--"Cottage Cheese, n' of course Evil Woman". Thank you sooo much for putting this up...Sounds Great!!
Era... 1971. El '71. . .
I was a teen when this came out, Great Album, great talent in this band. I now have this on CD, need my fix every now wand then of real Rock and Blues mix. Hammonds have the Best Sound as heard here.
Saw them years ago in Tuscaloosa, AL.............I believe they were the opening band for Grand Funk Railroad.........EXCELLENT!

This song was written for Bloodrock by Johnny Nitzinger, who wrote many songs for Bloodrock.

Wow. If you tilt the computer screen up or down you can see a reverse Bloodrock and fire in the background.

Saw Bloodrock in Miami 3 times total. Nothing better to cruise down the Florida turnpike with this band on the speakers.

Not a great LP, but it has moments like this that capture the spirit and magic of the Time. Truly.

My dad has this on vinyl. As a kid I was getting into classic Rock but when I came across this album I didn't like it.
