F1 Racing Simulation (intro)

..I recently got F1 2k11 but .. again... it just doesn't have the same "vibe" as this game or Grand Prix 2 had. Either that, or I'm just getting old.

Plus it has great presentation, and official timing screen, comprehensive practice/qualifying/ race results, great AI, failures and decent physics. How codemasters can't make a game this good 14 years later, they should be ashamed.

If you can find a copy on ebay, and like sims, buy it! :)

@salvasirignano F1 2010 left some things to be desired, I hope Codemasters fix things up for the 2011 version (and what's up with the colours in that engine of theirs?! Ferrari's are not brown!)

This game is amazing, I just got it from ebay today!

The driving mechanics are great, you get a great sense of under/oversteer and can control powerslides out of the corners! :O

I honestly think it is a better game to play than F1 2010 is you forget the graphics.

One of the best F1 games ever ! I still got it and play it regularly. It's quite a challenge on the hardest level. I used to have GP2, don't know where I left the cd. I also have GP3 but it doesn't seem to run on XP :(

I remember playing this back in summer 0f 98. It was a very hot day, I took a cruising Lap on Hockenheim and then... BOOM... my 3DFX accelerator (Orchid Righteous 3D, 4 MB) blew up and the screen went black! Damn!

i stil have Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 right here :D it wsa my favourite game!!! it had real challenges like finish 5th with a Prost at Melbourne or win the Belgian GP with Fisichella's Jordan. However all lyveries were fake as it didn't have F1 official license

When i first got that game i was like 9 nd i didn't understand why lol, so i just used to put the names of the current seasons drivers on each car and managed them like it was in real time, brings back good memories :)

it cames for pc at 1997 from ubisoft.

i think its better than gp2.

all cars drives different, and not same as gp2, gp3, gp4
