Your spicing is very nice, but there is no need to add chicken periods to something that is vegetarian. It is gross to eat the menstrual cycle of a chicken.
It is my experience that meat-eaters pick on vegetarians more than the other way around. I've been a vegetarian since I was four and my life was filled with meat-eaters teasing me relentlessly with "I'm going to put meat in your food" and "you're at stupid hippie." At 8 years old, I was like "What's a hippie?" It sucked, it hurt. I think people are so afraid you'll change them that before you even open your mouth they're trying to change you. Beat you to the draw or something. So strange...
@mygirl512 wooow feel better now? I think the reason most meat eaters are angry with you vegetarians because you guys like to force your views down everyone else throat :/
Have you wondered about DietOramy diet regimen? Have you seen this method? I've located it at random by googling around and this solution is just wonderful... I'm getting rid of my excessive fat and I am being a lot more healthy.
Not to bad i would minus the egg and the milk and replace it with ground flax seed mixed with warm water ( it makes it become gooey and binds ingredients) I would use soy or coconut milk as my replacement for milk. All in all not to bad.
worrying about every tiny thing I pick up has milk, eggs, honey, or other things that come from animals. It just goes to far, and I see vegans harassing so many people about it. I understand omnivores do it too, but vegans are just as bad as meat eaters harassing people. Learn to accept other people's decisions. You may not agree with them, but they do what they do for their own personal reasons. Sorry for the rant, the burger looks good, but I am tired of seeing vegans make others look bad.
...versions with dairy and eggs. It's very time consuming, expensive, and hard for friends and family to invite you to dinners and restaurants. They have to make sure everything is specialized for you, which is already hard for me as a vegetarian. I gave up leather and fur a long time ago with meat and meat byproducts 7 years ago and going strong with it. I find vegetarianism even hard most of the time, and not ready to cope with veganism. I got worse problems to deal with in life, let alone...
It makes us all look really bad, narrow-minded, and no better than anyone else. I will tell you that it's not easy to just get up and go straight up vegan. You have to clear everything animal related out of your house, even pets. No dairy or eggs, which are in 70% of the food products you pick up in the store. If not, you have to find special expensive fake cheese, sour creams, creamer, frosting, ice cream, or anything you want as a treat. Most of them are loaded with chemicals as much as real.
This is a not a vegan burger, it's a vegetarian burger. Vegetarian don't consume killed animals, and vegans don't consume any animal products. Hardcore vegans are crazy and wonder why people bash vegetarians and vegans. I can see based on the comments on this video that most vegans do seem to give themselves a bad name, which makes people not want to join your damn cult. I went vegetarian for the sake of animal cruelty, but I do not treat others like shit for it.
Thanks! I also wanted to share with you 1 of the best cook books I have ever owned. Check it out... bit*ly/rsgo5P youtube won't let me put up links, so just change the * to .
Just made this recipe for dinner, and it was pretty good- I need to add a little more salt next time. Made a couple substitutions too since I didn't have all the ingredients- instead of the walnuts I used pumpkin seeds and instead of the wheat germ I used oatmeal (made it into a powder first).
People who say they are vegetarian but still eat flesh are a contradiction. The very word vegetarian is self defined. My husband calls himself a vegetarian but also eats clean fishes, cheeses and some things with dairy in them. Why not just say, I'm not an red meat and fowl eater. Labels can be confusing
@HavardiYah i think your confused vegan and vegatarian are two completeley different things vegies can eat dairy and such but vegans dont get your facts straight
@HavardiYah Your husband is a pescatarian. That means he eats all meat and animal flesh with the exception of fish, dairy and eggs. There are different types of vegetarianism. This video is for lacto-ovo vegetarians such as me, that is, people who don't eat meat or fish, but do eat eggs and dairy products. Hope I helped to clear this up :)
@ccarolinaa13 Thanks for your comment but I think you and the other person missed my point..
To clarify my husband do not eat meat. But he eats clean fish that have scales and fins and he eats cheese. But my comment was about titles and branding that we do. It seems to me that the words vegetarian and vegan would be one and the same, but they are not.
That was my comment. Sometime people don't comprehend very well.
@leafgrrl Yes your right fish is a meat from a animals and dairy is also a animal bi-product. It seems to me that the words vegetarian and vegan would be one and the same, but they are not. One includes animal consumption and the other does not but the word is the same. I find that kind of off.
@fuzztanks I'm sorry sweetheart if you thought i was lashing out.. I'm not really, it's just that i find the to words or names to be so similar but so different at the same time. But there is nothing wrong. I also appreciate all the helpful comments. But it is sometimes hard to dialog using the internet because you can't hear tone.
It's not a sin to eat some types of meat products. But it is healthier now days to get away from meat and so called dairy which is also a product of meat. When I see the word veggie, I think no meat or meat by products.
I have been a vegeterian but I can't even stand the idea of being a vegan.it's not bad to drink milk and eat eggs and dairy products at all.I think some vegans are just fanatic and that kind of approach is making people even more hesitant towards becoming a vegeterian.
Could someone that has actually made this recipe please rate it? Amazed at all this bickering and complete lack of actual feedback on the recipe. Looking for a good recipe and this one seemed to make sense.
I think this is cool but I have one problem. Isn't a vegitarian burger supposed to be healthy? Im pretty sure that a real hamburger and that vegi burger have a very similar calorie count.
By adding eggs & whole milk then topping it with cheddar cheese she basically made this just as cholesterol and saturated fat laden as a regular burger! Following her recipe makes this calorically dense as well. This recipe needs serious modification before it would be healthy!
@Aviationnation10 ~ just pointing out reality. For someone who was trying to prevent or reverse heart disease this burger and it's accompaniments would not be healthy. So yes, some people would care. Now go crawl back under your bridge troll.
@SisterSunshineTV You must get a grip on reality. This burger has WAY LESS cholesterol and saturated fat than a beef burger, so even though it's oily like a beef burger, it's healthy oil. If you think that one slice of cheese and one quarter of and egg and a tiny bit of milk makes the burger basically just like a beef burger, you and too silly to post here. Why do I say one quarter of an egg when she used two eggs? That's because the two eggs will end up in about EIGHT burgers from this batch!
@SisterSunshineTV Of course animal fat and cholesterol would still be present. But I said that there would be way less choleserol and saturated fat in this burger than a beef burger. I didn't say that they would not be present at all.
Has anyone tried the recipe? I'm amazed the veggie burger actually looked like a real burger when it cooked! And it looks delicious and it didn't seem that difficult to make. I'll definitely try this.
I just recently chose to me a vegetarian, and I remember first seeing this video and I was soooo rudee and in openminded and now I'm willing to try it cuz I'm doing this for health and ethical reasons on some levels
I'm confused??? How is this vegetarian?? it has eggs and cow milk?? Why have a veggie burger with eggs and cow milk?? You may as well eat beef ...if u got the cow in it any way??? Just me... Just me
Hello! Have you considered intellectus 424 diet (search on google)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work buddy lost tons of weight with it.
Thanks for the video ill try the recipe . OH and by the way to all those vegan fanatics stop explaining why we shouldnt eat milk and eggs this is a personal choise you cant push people to do something they dont want to . We respect your opinion try and respect ours . I grow chickens at home and i dont eat the chickens but i eat there eggs and i dont feel guilty . I dont maltreat them . And who watch this videos are vegetarians. So no need to bite there heads off . Cant we all just get allong .
Vegans or as you call them "vegan fanatics" such as myself see it about the same as urging others to wear sunblock or condoms, if that makes sense at all. If you knew how to reduce your cancer, diabetes and heart disease risk and feel great every day, wouldn't you feel a personal responsibility to tell others?
@2jwillia You're right. I've been vegan for 3 or 4 months now and I feel better than ever. Also, I'm losing weight. After years of eating whatever was there (mainly meat and processed crap) and being constantly tired, I now feel more energetic and less weighed down. It's great. My parents think I'm not eating properly though, so I have to eat some non-vegan stuff now and then. And I tried to tell people what I'm doing, they all thought that I'm insane. They're not laughing now though, haha.
@2jwillia Maybe but I don't understand why vegetarianism isn't good enough for some vegans, and these vegans feel that they have to judge vegetarians. Just be glad we aren't eating meat. I don't judge vegans.
How can you compare THAT to cancer or diabetes? I don't tell people not to eat meat, just 'cause I'm vegetarian. I would never force anyone to do anything. It's like telling someone to believe in God, though they believe in Buddha. At least that's my thought.
@2jwillia Yeah but you still cannot force people to use sunblock or wear condoms either. You can only tell them that it's better for them to use them to save their health.
@Rozzalinda1 you know what they say? DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY COWS DIED FOR YOU TO EAT THAT BURGER?.... and Your all like NO do you know why the cow died?! WHY CAUSE YOU ATE ALL HIS F**** FOOD THATS WHY! lol
@chamblizi Chamblizi i dont say you are wrong i am a vegetarian myself but i dont want to go convice other people to become vegetarians . Its a personal choise . And yeah ur perfectly right and i didnt say vegans are bad or wrong i just said that people shouldnt fight on youtube on some vegetarian recipe . Once they do see the vegetarian recipe that means they exclude meat . So why did you bite my head off ? Stop beying fanatic respect other peoples opinion too . Have a nice day
@Rozzalinda1 is this your part of the show to cry? why do you feel this is adressed to you then THAT MUST MEAN YOU DO DO that to people
hell i can't be a vegetarian i eat vegies and meat if i want perfect balance on diet i'd fill my fridge with scrumshes Asian foods like pho its good for the body and its the perfect balanced small meals
fOR A VEGAN EGG REPLACEMENT USE 1 TEASPOON OF GROUND FLAXSEED AND ADD 5 TABLESPOONS OF WARM WATER TO IT. LET IT SIT FOR 10 MINUTES AND IT SHOULD TURN ALIL SLIMY AND THICK, THEN USE IT AS A EGG REPLACER. BUT NOTE THAT 1 TEASPOON PLUS 5 TABLESPOONS OF WARM WATER IS THE MEASUREMENT FOR 1 EGG. SO DEPPENDING ON HOW MUCH EGG REPLACER YOU NEED, JUST DOUBLE OR TRIPLE THE FLAXSEED/WATER MIX. ALSO THIS CAN BE USED IN CAKES INSTEAD OF EGGS.
I can't call myself a vegetarian because I eat fish probably about twice a month, and consume and love animal products like milk, yogurt, cheese and eggs. Probably as close to being a vegetarian without being one. This recipe is delicious by the way.
Looks delicious but she should have left the eggs out. I don't eat chickem embryos. They stink and they're disgusting. I will omit the eggs when I make this recipe.
@thunderheart226 I thought that vegetarians didn't eat chicken so if eggs are acceptible then i stand corrected. I'm new to the world of Veggie and vegan, so. You tell me?
@MrsDomino vegetarian can eat eggs and milk.they just cant eat flesh your thinking of vegan this a lacto-ovo vegetarian meal.eggs arent chickens ur not eating the actual chicken meat. vegtarian = meatless
vegan =animal free check wiki they explain the gist of it
This looks like such a yummy recipe! Especially with the wedding of mis Catherine Elizabeth Jane Margaret Middleton and Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Vox-Bertha-Conberg approaching so quickly, what a perfect recipe to share with your cats and dogs. My Russian blue and Pomeranian enjoyed this recipe!
@MrSirchet It's a vegetarian burger recipe, not vegan- therefore they don't cut out all animal products only animal meat products. If you want a proper vegan recipe go to watch?v=UzAB96CXHUc&feature=related, and chill out
@MrSirchet because vegetarians still eat things that animals produce, like eggs & milk. they just don't eat the meat. essentially nothing that you have to kill an animal for. milk and eggs don't come from dead animals. a vegan eats nothing that comes from an animal, only what comes from the earth.
@agirlneedsagun if you drink milk, you're still killing cows.....cows have to give birth produce milk and the male baby cows become veal or leather products. The dairy cow is sent to the slaughter house after she's been thoroughly used. It's a similar story for egg laying chickens. So vegetarians are hypocritical.
@JordanPAT you're making a lot of assumptions here. lol. but the fact of the matter is, that is STILL the difference between vegetarian and vegan. If you have to kill the animal to eat the product, then vegetarians wont eat it. You don't kill a cow by milking it. You don't kill a chicken if you eat it's eggs. That's the facts.
@agirlneedsagun Well if you read 'Eating Animals" by Jonathan Safran Foer, you'll understand that over 99% of the eggs and milk produced in the US is from a factory farm. If you're vegetarian because you don't like killing animals, does that mean you're okay with them being tortured all their life, and then being trucked to the slaughter house when they've been used? Anyway, consuming animal products increases the risk of cancer and other diseases. Read "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell.
@JordanPAT I'm well aware of what goes on at the farms where we get most of our meat. You're assuming that most people are vegetarians for that reason, or that most of them shop at grocery stores and not local farms, is what I meant by "you're making a lot of assumptions here". REGARDLESS, none of what you are saying changes the definition of a vegetarian. No, this is not a vegan burger, but yes, it IS a veggie burger. If you are looking for a vegan veggie burger, then put that in your search.
@agirlneedsagun For cows to produce milk, they have to give birth to a calf every year. In Australia, around 900,000 male calves are seperated from their mother 12 hours after birth and then slaughted. You do have to kill MANY cows to get milk. If you get milk from a supermarket, you're killing baby cows and the mother cow eventually. That same goes for the egg industry.
@KittySugarLips Exactly. Me and my family have had a few dogs, loved them all (all but one are dead...). I love animals and do support better treatment of them... but I mean, the meat on the shelves is sort of already dead... I understand that any diet can have negative health consequences, but I think vegetarianism (distinct from veganism) can be very healthy. Thanks for the comment.
Yay, I get to see an advert before flash player crashes, am I the only one who finds it amazing that flash player is rock solid and never crashes during adverts?
Wow, my comment was very vague, sorry about that. My point was many people own hens for eggs and no roosters, or one at most. When people do that they set the demand for female chickens much higher than the demand for male chickens. The excess male chickens are killed right away because there is no use for them. If you own more hens than roosters you are contributing to that process. The situation with your grandfather sounds perfectly fine to me.
did he raise an equal number of roosters? If not, guess where they went? Its not exactly disneyland... Most people who think they are properly informed aren't... that might include me, but I think I'm right on this one.
Ok, this is the type of ignorant comment that bothers me. I don't encourage people to be hateful just to be hateful, but people don't "keep it to themselves" when you're dealing with ethical issues. Discussions should be accurate and civilized, but they should be there. You don't have to read the comments if you don't want to, but others might learn from the discussions below. If anything they can learn that some people have a problem with eating eggs and they might research why
great recipe but why use canned lentils, especially when you are trying to go low sodium. lentils are so easy to cook. I fried some and baked some and prefer the baked texture.
everyone has their opinion but your just straight up crazy talking about things completly unrelated and even fucking gross to see that comment with my own two eyes when i'm trying to learn how to cook! fucking crazy bitch!
Damn, the harsh reality of it is that eggs come from "chickens" eggs turn into "baby chickens" even if it isn't fertilized your still eating A FUCKING LIFE! now that egg will never turn into a chicken BITCH! It's the same fucking thing! and stop trolling on youtube telling people to hate themselves for things that are naturally suppose to happen to their bodies lol wtf?? humans and animals are two different species, so get your head out of your ass and clean the crud out of your eyes.
chicken eggs will not turn into chickens if they aren't fertilized; however, there is a lot of abuse hens that produce the eggs. Also, some of the eggs are fertilized so more hens can be raised for more eggs; half those eggs are naturally male chickens, and they have no economic benefit so they are killed right away. I think you meant humans and CHICKENS are 2 diff species...humans are animals... The way you speak to people is not helping the vegan cause.
Oh my God, yumm! I REALLY want to make that!!! I will rape the replay button and write all that down. I will go to the store soon. I wanna, wanna, wanna taste it so bad! :)
vegetarians don't eat ANY meat at all. No red meat, no poultry and no fish. However vegetarians can eat dairy products or eggs (either both or not at all) or you can go Vegan and eat NO animal bi-products.
today i made my first veggie buger it was goooood here the recipie made it my self i can of pink beans 1 can of black beans spinach and asparagus 1 can salt peaper chilli powder cahayene peper crust crakes garded cheses i ait it with some veggie chedar big mac sauce ketchup and that is try it goooooooooood
@mellamosean i was just trying to illustrate the absurdity of someone claiming to be a vegetarian but the only eat one kind of meat... thats like me saying im not racist i only hate jews... its an absurd statement
I agree, that's exactly what I was doing. I was making fun of the guy who said he's a pesco-pollo vegetarian. So I said I was a pesco-pollo-beefo vegetarian in the hope the guy who said that would realize how ridiculous it sounds and that he's not a vegetarian at all. including vegetarian in the name of a diet that contains fish and chicken is just confusing...
Your spicing is very nice, but there is no need to add chicken periods to something that is vegetarian. It is gross to eat the menstrual cycle of a chicken.

Reason for eating meat
1-Its tasty
2-KFC
3-Chickens are tasty flightless birds. If god made it any easier to catch and eat them they would come covered in barbecue sauce.
4-If an animal is dumb enough to get eaten fuck them. I don't eat monkeys, not because I won't but because they are smart and hide in zoos
5-Tofu sucks
6-Meatless barbecues suck
7-Animals do nothing for me. Apart from dogs because the police use them. So OK I won't eat dog.
8-Killing vegetables is cruel

@Rozzalinda1
2jwillia 5 months ago
@2jwillia You're right. I've been vegan for 3 or 4 months now and I feel better than ever. Also, I'm losing weight. After years of eating whatever was there (mainly meat and processed crap) and being constantly tired, I now feel more energetic and less weighed down. It's great. My parents think I'm not eating properly though, so I have to eat some non-vegan stuff now and then. And I tried to tell people what I'm doing, they all thought that I'm insane. They're not laughing now though, haha.
LemonZeppelin 5 months ago
@2jwillia Maybe but I don't understand why vegetarianism isn't good enough for some vegans, and these vegans feel that they have to judge vegetarians. Just be glad we aren't eating meat. I don't judge vegans.
TheOneWingedBird 5 months ago
@2jwillia
How can you compare THAT to cancer or diabetes? I don't tell people not to eat meat, just 'cause I'm vegetarian. I would never force anyone to do anything. It's like telling someone to believe in God, though they believe in Buddha. At least that's my thought.
mizyki 5 months ago
@2jwillia Yeah but you still cannot force people to use sunblock or wear condoms either. You can only tell them that it's better for them to use them to save their health.

Once they do see the vegetarian recipe that means they exclude meat . So why did you bite my head off ? Stop beying fanatic respect other peoples opinion too . Have a nice day

fOR A VEGAN EGG REPLACEMENT USE 1 TEASPOON OF GROUND FLAXSEED AND ADD 5 TABLESPOONS OF WARM WATER TO IT.

How the hell is this a veggie burger when you are using eggs, milk please stop the madness. you might as well just eat a regular burger.
MrSirchet 9 months ago
@MrSirchet its meant for vegetarians, not vegans. so eggs and milk are perfectly expectable. there are egg and milk substitutes if you prefer.
26peacelovehappiness 9 months ago
@MrSirchet It's a vegetarian burger recipe, not vegan- therefore they don't cut out all animal products only animal meat products. If you want a proper vegan recipe go to watch?v=UzAB96CXHUc&feature=related, and chill out
aurorajubes 9 months ago
@MrSirchet because vegetarians still eat things that animals produce, like eggs & milk. they just don't eat the meat. essentially nothing that you have to kill an animal for. milk and eggs don't come from dead animals. a vegan eats nothing that comes from an animal, only what comes from the earth.
agirlneedsagun 7 months ago
@agirlneedsagun if you drink milk, you're still killing cows.....cows have to give birth produce milk and the male baby cows become veal or leather products. The dairy cow is sent to the slaughter house after she's been thoroughly used. It's a similar story for egg laying chickens. So vegetarians are hypocritical.
JordanPAT 7 months ago
@JordanPAT you're making a lot of assumptions here. lol. but the fact of the matter is, that is STILL the difference between vegetarian and vegan. If you have to kill the animal to eat the product, then vegetarians wont eat it. You don't kill a cow by milking it. You don't kill a chicken if you eat it's eggs. That's the facts.
agirlneedsagun 7 months ago
@agirlneedsagun Well if you read 'Eating Animals" by Jonathan Safran Foer, you'll understand that over 99% of the eggs and milk produced in the US is from a factory farm. If you're vegetarian because you don't like killing animals, does that mean you're okay with them being tortured all their life, and then being trucked to the slaughter house when they've been used? Anyway, consuming animal products increases the risk of cancer and other diseases. Read "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell.
JordanPAT 7 months ago
@JordanPAT I'm well aware of what goes on at the farms where we get most of our meat. You're assuming that most people are vegetarians for that reason, or that most of them shop at grocery stores and not local farms, is what I meant by "you're making a lot of assumptions here". REGARDLESS, none of what you are saying changes the definition of a vegetarian. No, this is not a vegan burger, but yes, it IS a veggie burger. If you are looking for a vegan veggie burger, then put that in your search.
agirlneedsagun 7 months ago
@JordanPAT
i just get the eggs from my chickens who are free 2 go where ever they go :)
HdjoRn 7 months ago
@agirlneedsagun For cows to produce milk, they have to give birth to a calf every year. In Australia, around 900,000 male calves are seperated from their mother 12 hours after birth and then slaughted. You do have to kill MANY cows to get milk. If you get milk from a supermarket, you're killing baby cows and the mother cow eventually. That same goes for the egg industry.
JordanPAT 7 months ago
@KittySugarLips Exactly. Me and my family have had a few dogs, loved them all (all but one are dead...). I love animals and do support better treatment of them... but I mean, the meat on the shelves is sort of already dead... I understand that any diet can have negative health consequences, but I think vegetarianism (distinct from veganism) can be very healthy. Thanks for the comment.

andycap64 10 months ago
@Yuffie3982
The situation with your grandfather sounds perfectly fine to me.
mellamosean 10 months ago
@Yuffie3982
did he raise an equal number of roosters? If not, guess where they went? Its not exactly disneyland... Most people who think they are properly informed aren't... that might include me, but I think I'm right on this one.

@MrAlbertosoto

Damn, the harsh reality of it is that eggs come from "chickens" eggs turn into "baby chickens" even if it isn't fertilized your still eating A FUCKING LIFE! now that egg will never turn into a chicken BITCH! It's the same fucking thing! and stop trolling on youtube telling people to hate themselves for things that are naturally suppose to happen to their bodies lol wtf?? humans and animals are two different species, so get your head out of your ass and clean the crud out of your eyes.
nekoattitude 11 months ago
@nekoattitude Humans and animals are two different species? Please tell me you understand humans are animals too...
TheWejdin 11 months ago 3
@nekoattitude
chicken eggs will not turn into chickens if they aren't fertilized; however, there is a lot of abuse hens that produce the eggs.

Omg. Now, let's take this slooooowly:
A vegetarian does not eat meat or fish, or any kind of animal that has had a life.
A vegan, does not eat animals or anything made by an animal. Eggs, milk, honey, and food like that.
The burger in the video is a vegetarian burger, not a vegan burger.
