  • ..Andre was never 7'4, Andre's real height was 6'9...Hogan was never 6'8, his real height was 6'5.

  • @Dungarth Either way, we'd all look like a shrimp beside him.

  • wwwDOTcanoeDOTca/SlamWrestlingArchive/nov28_matsuda2.html.

Take a look at this mini Bio not from wiki, and see for you self how legit Hiro Matzuda was. The man who cretaed Hulk Hogan.

  • so ted was nearly 7ft was he lmao i think not..biggest bullshit was the height of andre

  • @nastymonsters2 Well, I went to AWA years ago and I was 5'9" and Mean Gene, I was surprised was pretty tall (I'd say close to 6')...>>> he was much taller than me anyway, and I was talking to him face to face, so look at the video and think about that.

  • @Bertminator lol right tht would Make hogan nearly 8ft. Dream on

  • @nastymonsters2 Well whatever, I can only tell you what I know. Take it for what it's worth.

  • @Bertminator You're wrong. Mean Gene is 5'8 (1.73m). I think you got ur own height mixed up aswell. Its surprising how people can judge wrong about heights. Hulk Hogan is 2 meter tall. If Mean Gene was 6 feet, then Hulk would indeed be nearly 8ft which is clearly not the case.

  • abdre the giants theme song here was amazing

  • hulk hogan was what john cena is today......

  • if hulk hogan still looked like this his wife would have stayed home lol....

  • Thumbs up for the hardcore kid behind commentators at 0:13 ^_^

  • Who is that guy at 02:22, holding money? I thought he couldn't move =D

  • greatest of all time!!!

  • Steroids never looked so good.

  • What year was this?

  • Virgil lol

  • All you need is prayers vitamins and training

  • shut up show respect

  • I want Bobby the Stain Hennan.

  • It's Jeremy Clarkson in WWF 1:31

  • Vince Killed WWF!!!!!

  • My right ear feels lonely in this matchup..

  • @saxin12 And in my case, my left ear, i've just realised i've set my speakers up the wrong way

  • @dreamcast98 :l Ive set my headphones up correctly and my right ear is lonely :L

  • @dreamcast98 : Well that was not very smart, now was it? Hey, don't answer that, it was a retorhical question.

  • @saxin12 why is the head set sound gone on left side only on this video ?

  • @MrSvein35 I have no ida ask @Bertminator

  • Andre never needed theme music.

  • Hulk hogan in his prime would crush guys like goldberg ,bret hart, undertaker, big show, sting, ultimate warrior...

  • @TheMrsuperman2000 You know pro wrestling isn't real....right? Hulk Hogan wasn't a pro fighter, or had any real background in fighting. He was a performer, 100%. Bret Hart was an ACTUAL wrestler. He would kill hogan. Goldberg was a pro football player, which uses a lot of wrestling style take downs. He'd kill Hogan.

  • @8bboss He's not talking about a "real" fight. In the squared circle, Hogan would kill THEM. Everybody knew it was fake then but nobody knew the tricks. That "Secrets of Pro Wrestling" video ruined everything. It's like a magician giving away all his secrets...It makes the trick less magical >:(

  • um corection on that andrea would of killed hogan if it was real andre was so strong that he didnt knowe his own strength and if he andre didnt want to lose he wouldnt hogan was so scared of andre at mania 3 he had to call vince just to make sure that he would win

  • @8bboss I am going to correct you this one time only.Hulk Hogan was trained by the best Wrestling trainer of the 1970s Named Hiro Maztsuda where everyone in wrestling feared to fight in real life.2)Hulk Hogan before the red and yellow and the Vince Jr era wrestled in 6 promotions from 1976 to 1983.3)He also was trained and wrestled in Japan and in japan they use more wrestling and less theatrics then here in the US.So before you base on hogan's gimmick, know the Man Terry and his real life skills

  • @domamania He was trained by his two japanese trainers in the 70's in the art of "pro wrestling", which is not real wrestling. Sure he took bumps and was stretched like hell, but he still didn't obtain any real fighting skills. But if I am wrong, and he was trained to use amateur wresting or any other martial art, send me the website that shows these facts. Don't just look at his wikipedia page and blast a bunch of bullshit on here.

  • @TheMrsuperman2000 He almost beat Goldberg when he was old :D

  • This is one of the most watched Wrestling matches of all time. If not the most. Over 30 million viewers in America alone.

  • this was before wrestling got ubergay. Whatever, I'd put on spandex and whoop ass in the ring for a paycheck too.

  • quality this,

back when wrestling back was entertaining

  • Bring that belt back and take it off of Cena.... PERMANENTLY.

  • Everybody in the WWF at that time should've been happy with the revenue Hulk Hogan was generating. Hulkamania was runnin' wild and anyone who went against he Champ at that time became as legitimately over as a heel with the fans as possible!

  • Hulk did have shiny muscle though in the interview so that's nice..

  • And to think, Jessie Ventura was the toughest guy of them all there.

Guy was a freaking Navy Seal!

  • 06:00 that's not roid-rage, thats body language. I think he's trying to tell Mean Gene something.

  • 6:03 The last moment of the Hogan86 title belt.

6:24 The first moments of the Winged Eagle title belt.

  • First appearance for the now classic Big Eagle championship belt. Notice Hogan wearing the "Hogan" belt in the interview but comes to the ring with the Big Eagle.

  • Ted dibiase jr is nothing like his father...shame

  • Dibiase called the Hulkamaniacs nickel and dimers lol

  • The Million Dollar Man and Andre The Giant Promo is great! andre says:imma gonna squeeze and neva stop" Dibiase jus laughs! and Virgil just holds the money!

  • The best match in history

  • obey the giant

  • The championship belt that Hogan was wearing towards the ring wasn't the same belt he wore while talking to Mean Gene

  • @Van2Dan They tried unsuccessfully to hide that fact when he was talking to Gene as they kept the camera at the level of the WWF Logo at the top.

  • look at hogans body. he was huge !! i mean those arms are the biggest arms i have ever seen...his body looks ''plastic''. i wish i had a body like that. awesome..

  • Claaaaasic!!!...I was six years old all over again

  • Which year was this in ???? was it in the 80's or 90's ?????

  • @DJJOHAN33 This was in the 1980's I'm not sure spcifically when, but probably 1984 or 85

  • @Bertminator It was from February 1988.

  • @Bertminator 1988 dude!

  • @Bertminator 2-5-88. This was the first Main Event and the first time wrestling appeared on prime time network television in over 30 years. It drew a whopping 15.2 rating and over 33 million viewers. No North American match has even come close to approaching those ratings and viewers. The best RAW ever was 8.4 Almost 50% lower. Note that this match also took place on a Friday evening when everyone was going out making it more incredible. Hulk-Andre is the greatest wrestling feud ever.

  • @Bertminator 89

  • @dougotbubbles2 No, 88, before Wrestlemania 4.

  • @Bertminator Early 1988---it precipitated the Wrestlemania 4 title tournament.

  • @Bertminator no their first match was in 87 and am pretty sure this was 88

  • @Bertminator this aired feb. 5th 1988

  • @Bertminator February 5, 1988.

  • @Bertminator It was 1988, it says so right on screen.

  • @Bertminator 1987 or 88?

  • @castlevamp I honestly can't remember ...sorry.

  • @Bertminator january of 1988

  • Respond to this video... sorry February of 1988

  • @Bertminator am i the only one who can read the january 1988 at the beginning of the video?.... can you guys not read or somehtin

  • @dan11588 I see it's been answered several times.

  • @Bertminator ha i didnt even scroll down lol

  • @dan11588 it happens

  • @castlevamp February 5, 1988. Indianapolis.

  • @DJJOHAN33 1988. a couple months before WM IV.

  • This was when Wrestling was in its Golden Age!

  • RIP Hulk Hogan

  • @Hard2LogOn Haha.

  • @Hard2LogOn

    has hogan died ??

  • @SuperstarTheMasked nah but andre the giant has :(

  • Andre should have hit the gym.

  • @dxjuju54000 Yes, fluently

  • @dxjuju54000 I am french also.

  • @dxjuju54000 Yes, he was from France.

  • I guess we lost another legend today Macho Man Randy Savage had a heart attack and his car hit a tree. Too much steroids in wrestling...that's probably why all the heart attacks? RIP Macho Man. He's now joined his former wife Elizabeth.

  • I miss old school wrestling everyone had such good character

  • @TokenPictures111

yea but keep in mind wrestlers like john cena , rock ,triple h and kane is what truly brought the old wrestler back to life !!!! if it wasnt for the new wrestlers the whole wreslers wont be as respected

  • @blackoil911 tru

  • damn these guys a insanely big

  • ah why did wwf die wcw was better and wcw would never has do that shyt called wrestling was entertainement (wwe)

  • Good times.

    Nah fuck that, best times.

  • How many shirts did Hogan ripped in his entire career?

  • Among greatest all time feuds...Hulk and Andre is never mentioned despite the fact it launched pro wrestling into the stratosphere. It drew the largest crowd to a wrestling match in North American history and led to the highest rated match in wrestling history drawing over 33 million viewers and a 15.2 It received top billing for WM4 and kickstarted Summerslam and the Survivor Series. It was the biggest feud of all time

yet it rarely mentioned among the great feuds.

  • One of the greatest rivalries of all time

Hogan vs Andre>Cena vs Big Show

  • @MrWrestlingfan1998 Don't forget about Sting & Big Van Vader. That was an awesome one too. Of course, that was WCW not WWF, but still a great rivalry

  • @MrWrestlingfan1998 I'd say more along the lines of Hogan vs Andre>Lesnar vs Big Show.

  • @MrWrestlingfan1998 JESUS CHRIST NO

  • ive never seen anyone so gold in all my life, lol

  • This was an absolute epic time to be into wresteling. Everything was so new an exiting!

  • R.I.P WWF

  • hulk's got a magical pink bandana that flashes

  • i think this match is until this day

the highest rated and viewed match

on tv of all time. 15.5 rating

30millions of people on NBC. RESPECT!!!1

  • RIP Andre

  • When it came to promos, Andre didn't even have to try, pure gold.

  • Andre's promo skills always entertained me

  • Interview to ring entrance Hogan has a different belt and goes from a bandana to a headband. I always knew that some time in-between mania 3 and 4 the belt changed, nice to realize the exact moment in this You Tube clip.

  • 1987-1988 the apex of wrestling history

  • 5:10 much like how "The Incredible Hulk" turns green when he gets mad. "Hulk Hogan" turns pink when he gets mad.

  • Is it me or Hogan looked bigger back then in 1988 then now 2011.

  • @domamania Then. I mean not only has Hogan openly admitted to steroid use back then...which put him in at over 300 pounds, but he is also 25 years younger. No one in there 50-60's are going to be in their best shape.

  • Andre was an amazing talent and an incredible human being. He got the most out of life wherever he went. Sadly he left us too soon....

  • @TVfanfanatic I like Andre too, but talented? Seriously? The guy could barely move by the time the WWE went national. For gods sake, his big boot only got up to the opponents chests.

  • @Piledriver86 Andre's giantism condition caused him increased physical pain as he grew older. As a result his wrestling abilities becames more and more limited. His real talent was his on camera presence and his ability to play the heel.

  • This was 23 years ago today...

  • LMFAO he said nickel and dime hulkamaniacs that was soooo fuckin funny

  • Love Ted DiBiase's promo, that's how it's done.

  • I forgot how musculer Hogan was. Damn he was a huge mo-fo.

  • @jamesgville was? he's still a beast today

  • ANDRE: Im gonna squeeze and twist, then Im gonna squeeze you again. Harder and Harder.

Puts the fear of god in you, dont it?

  • 5:58 i love that part and i could watch it over and over doesn't get not even a bit lame... "and HULKAMANIA WILL LIVE FOR EVEERRRRR" :D

  • VINCE keeps lying, only 77,000 people at WM 3,, not 93000,,, WM 23 in michigan had more people 80000

  • andre is just unbelievable

  • Hulk Hogan doesn't talk so much as explode out of his entire being. I bet you can't look him in the eyes during the promo without giggling.

  • LOL Hogan had a mouth full of table

  • I read that this match still todY holds the record of the most television viewers then any other tv match ,

  • Does anyone else notice the belt Hogan had on during the haha backstage skit just b4 he came to the ring is NOT the winged eagle belt he is wearing when he comes out of the curtain a few seconds later!

  • Rip Andre! Hulkster is the best.

  • hogan wore the hogan 86 belt in the interview but when he came out from the curtain, he wore the new winged eagle title which lasted 10 years

  • earl hebner go earl :D

  • @NiGhtFiRe311 Ummm they clearly say its Dave NOT Earl!

  • Mr. Brian Milligan is a man's man and was smart enough to be a Hulk Hogan fan from the get go. You are a winner Mr. Milligan.

  • he had the intercontinental title on in the interview :)

  • @scallyeight The Intercontinental belt was different than the one he's wearing in the interview. Watch my "warrior vs rick rude" match, and you'll see it's different.

  • @Bertminator The belt that Hogan was wearing in the interview was his OLD world title. It wasn't the IC belt. In the entrance he was the NEW eagle-winged WWF title. IMO that's the WWF title!!! What a beauty :)

  • @scallyeight Thats world title

  • @scallyeight That's the world title

  • @scallyeight Why do people keep saying that? That's the world title belt before the Winged Eagle belt( that was first used when this match started). The belt Hogan has on is the same belt he had for years before this match. Look @ WM3

  • @scallyeight no dude that was the old school wwf title

  • @scallyeight that's the old wrestlemania 3 belt... hogan never won the i.c. title..

  • @RickRomo

It's funny, the toy line for that belt design lasted longer then the actual belt did.

  • @scallyeight No. That was the WWF Championship.................yeeees I knoooow, its not the SPINNER BELT!

  • @scallyeight That belt is the "Hogan 86" title belt that he wore from late 85 until this just before this match. Why they had him wear a different belt during the match is beyond me, but this was a slightly different version of the "Winged Eagle", where the fifth plate had a WWF logo and the name "Hulk Hogan" under it. Every other version has said "Champion" under the logo.

  • @josephD32 wow bro...leave your house tomorrow...

  • @josephD32 The reason for that is because the interviews were taped a few weeks prior to this telecast and the Winged Eagle probably hadn't been ready or delivered from J-MAR yet.

  • I wish he would have atleast put on enough muscle to show some detail. He would have been a lot stronger.

  • I notice the head gear is different too..LOL

  • Yep. I notice the belt change before even reading what you wrote below the video. Wonder why he didn't wear the new one during the interview. When I seen that I was like, "WTF?"..LOL

  • Hogan looked SUPER WEAK as Andre placed his stamp of approval. He tried to take a swipe at DiBiase but failed. As he went down under the table after being thrown by Andre, I could not help but love how DiBiase laughed so diabolically. Hogan continued to look SUPER WEAK.

DiBiase was right about cheating on the count. Hogan got pinned by Andre at Wrestlemania III. True, his shoulder was up, but did the ref see it? I doubt it. No wonder they would have another match.

  • I was almost 12 years old when I watched this that night. I recorded it on the VCR. I will never forget it. This has to be one of the most(if not the most) bizarre, controversial nights in world wrestling federation history!!! The crowd was so pumped up back then. Nowadays they are literally frozen.

  • Hogan was NEVER a match for this threesome. His belt was gone as soon as these fellows showed up.

  • the good old days

  • A good wrestler must also be a good actor. That's part of the entertainment. I think Ted was one of the best actors in wrestling ever (Hogan was average or so). Jake was also another great actor. Andre, Warrior, Sting, and most of the rest... could basically just shout loud and talk smack.

  • did anyone notices the two different belts used ?? don't know why... check out the one hogan has in the promo compared to the one that he wears to the ring........

  • If you look close enough....Hulkster forgot to take the steroid needle out of his left arm! LOL

  • hogan is in awesome shape, ripped to shreds in his prime 5:01

  • Love Hulk's entrance...played the entire "Real American" theme. These were the days. My friends came to my house to watch this live on NBC Friday night and my parents ordered pizza...I swear when the match started I told my friends that it looked like Dave Hepner lost a lot of weight.

  • @NYCMESBRNX prove it

  • theweren't numbered, but idt h had acess to the surgery he needed. Because The Big Show hasthe sae defectbut he had surgery

  • Crowd is just insane for Hogan. You never see that anymore.

  • thsi was back in the day when being kids and wrestling wasn't a freaking soap opera. Hulk Hogan carried wwe and made it what it is today. Although i dont watch it anymore (to much drama not enough wrestling).

  • Maybe it was because I was a kid when this was going on...but it seemed like wrestling was so much bigger than it is right now. It was like they were super heroes. Ha, ha. I realize how funny that must be to read but it was just fun to watch. I miss the 1980s.

  • i actually remember seeing this when i was younger on video or live my dad use to tape it i think for me

  • HULKAMORON!!!!! LOL

  • look at the young vince and jesse lol

  • My god, that looked like Andre the Psyco, not Andre the Giant. classic match.

  • 22 years ago wrestling was changed.

  • "the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long" eldon tyrell -blade runner. my thoughts on Andres life and death

  • Back when their wasnt PPV.. You saw everything for free
