  • Hint:Dont get a companion thats the same clan as you(theres no reason and thats booorrrriiinnnngggg!).

  • How do you get that Gangrel guy to be your companion? At what point in the game rather

  • Toreadors and Gangrels kick ass

  • What is the name of the song that starts at 2:04 ?

  • Awesome video!

  • Wow! Just look at 1:30 the speed attack with the fire axe VV does on that poor guy. Awesome!

  • I didn't know Lily is a Brujah.

  • @CrazyClara101 : If you are playing the original CompMod, she is a ThinBlood, which is weaker than most Vampires (Only has 2 powers), but also has the unusual power of blood heal. However, if you are playing another mod that incorporates CompMod, such as VTMB 2010, then they might have changed her to plain old Brujah for simplicity. Not certain.

  • how do you get VV??

  • If you can have Heather as a companion, what happens at her death scene?

  • @JackShandyful : If you embrace her or ask her to travel with you even once, she wont die.

  • Who is the blond girl, where do you find her?

  • @14sJakeB190 - That is VV with a new outfit. The outfit pack is available on the website.

  • oh, that is awesome

  • So how do you get companions in the first place? simply embrace them or do you have to do any specific mission?

  • New dialog options appear when talking to people that allow you to ask them to come with you. Humans can be dominated using your vampire powers. Ghouls and Vampires require a little more work, but can still be made into companions. See the other videos for examples.

  • For gameplay videos of Compmod look in my channel!

  • Respect! Very nice mod that adds to the experiance, almost feels like its a part of the offcial game.

  • My hat is off to you, this is very impressive.

  • When possessing, each companion has their own strengths and weaknesses. If you are possessing a Vampire, you can feed to replenish blood. If you are not possessing, they fight intelligently (I redid the AI). Vampire Companions have infinite blood when following. (To make sure there is plenty of stock for the PC to feed on). Companions can take between 2 and 25 hits depending on if they are human, vampire and what level the PC is. (See the readme on the website for more info).

  • How durable are your companions meaning how much damage can they take? Also do vampire companions need to feed?

  • I guess these companions are comparable to the fallout 3 companions?

  • Similar in that they follow you around and you can customize how they look with installable outfits. However, CompMod allows you to POSSESS companions, gaining their abilities and sometimes allowing you to play disguised. You can stash the PC body somewhere safe, so there is a strategy element you get out of CompMod that you dont get out of FO3. Not to mention I never played an FO3 mod with the amount of spoken audio and interaction I put into this mod.

  • is it me or VV looks like a human in the beguinning of the video?

  • You should change that one combat tip into 'Gangrels kick ass.' ;P

  • My vampire companions (VV & Jeanette) are stingy when it comes to using their disciplines. (as in only using Auspex, not the good stuff when we're in combat) Even when I possess VV to use her celerity or Jeanette to use her Dementation, my own PC (tremere) doesn't use her disciplines. Any suggestions? (I have your beta mod, btw)

  • Celerity wasn't fully implemented till the official 1.0 release (you get the effect, but they dont move faster in the beta). Companions only use self targeting disciplines. The AI doesn't support ranged discplines... yet. ;)

  • very, very impressive

  • This jumpy behaviour of the blood dolls should really be fixed. It's really annoying when the Vampire's head goes through their head when he begins to feed on them :)

  • Nice mod, but does what's her name still die in the end? And if an one of your childe dies, can you just sire another one? Or is there some way to bring them back? Thanks in advance.

  • Heather wont die if you ask her to travel with you. Like KOTR and Mass Effect, Your companions can't die. They only fall for brief periods of time. So no.. you can't embrace twice.

  • Hmm, makes me wonder what powers yukie would have, makes me think she'd be as worthless as she was in the fish monster fight. Although the "tentacles line" may be the comment I'll never forget about this game, lol.. Is interesting, but would think the way the game handles npc disciplines to screw up balance a ton.

  • (Copy from another post) The original game didn't have a difficulty setting so in some regards companions fix that oversight. People who don't like fighting can now enjoy the game for the storyline. You can also tell companions to hide during combat if you feel they make the game too easy. But at least now there is a difficulty throttle that wasn't there before.

  • I would agree. And yes, this game is hard to mod.

  • Awesome Mod. Fantastic game but not enough mods was created for it. SDK doesn't exist for Bloodlines. RIP Troika.
