Saw these guys doin it Mphs, then to LA for Steve's 25 yr in music that his recording co , Island?,thru him...they just rocked & rocked. Rosko, Randall (Cowboy ,Sea Level from the 70's) Jim, W R, all nice people. Steve wouldnt have em w/ him if they werent & if they werent top pro artist. Born @ a great time to experience this sweet sweet music to our ears. How unique..agreed? We miss Jim...
Drums, bongos, grand piano, organ keys, saxophone, bass - what a great set up! I love to see bands that get away from rock's 40 year obsession with the electric guitar. Course, some people might call this jazz... jazz rock... rock jazz... whatever it is, its lovely to my ears.
Besides, it's not as if it hasn't been in my head for some 40 years.
Always been a great song to feature the horn (sax) section as well as the driving piano, which all other instruments play off.
Really fun to play, and true (older) fans can really groove to it.
The most remarkable thing about music from that time from Winwood was that he was a prodigy, like Young, Fogelberg, Joni Mitchell J. Browne, and yourself, writing great stuff in their teens.

It's OK... I like the classic piano riff on the original studio version better.

@sabanitas2112 Go to Amazon or Ebay which cheaper and search for "Traffic - The Last Great Traffic Jam", it´s a great DVD.

What a great session ... !!
(shame about the abrupt ending though)

@123ThisIsMe Yeah, especially because it's about time for the song to come around again, exploding as it does from right off the top.
Peace.

This is great! Traffic has always been an underappreciated band. Their instrumentals are amazing.
